If yes please join me?? I feel like a rollercoaster, one minute obsessed with an imaginary 3rd, one minute not sure as we're happy with 2??? Im approaching OV now and waiting for some OPK's I know we really want another (ok me really DH has been persuaded) but Im finding it scary. TTC baby 1 was exciting and depressing in equal measure baby 2 happened as soon as we tried and was a shock! This one has been 'ummed' and 'ahhed' over more than anything! Anyone get me?

We're TTC no. 3, have two DS's (3 & 1.5yrs) & also trying Shettles method though more as an experiment really as tired it last time for a DD & got another beautiful boy and in some ways quite like the idea of 3 DS's even if it's an exhausting thought!
Whilst there are many reasons we should stick to 2 we just feel that our family isn't complete so we thought we would see what happens & reassess it in 12 months if we're still not pregnant. On good days I am super keen but then when the boys have a bad day I think we're crazy to do it all again!

Hello everyone, can I join in?

Mousemole I'd like 4 too, and have always said that so DH is kind of used to the idea that the next is a when not an if. DD is only 8months atm though so not really ttc actively, but haven't remembered to make an appt with dr for contraception
DS is 2.5yrs so 22months between them but each time took around 6months to fall pg so not too scared about small age gaps yet.

CD1 was yesterday, and he's away for a fortnight with work, hmm interesting timing!

Thank you sweetkitty for saying such lovely things about 3, I found getting used to 2 much harder than I'd imagined which threw my confidence a lot as I thought I'd always wanted to be a mum and ought to be good at it.

Trying for no.3 here too. We have 2 ds's 3.9yrs and 17 months.

I can definately identify with the conflicting feeling though, on a good day i think it's the best idea in the world. On a bad day i wonder what the hell i'm thinking. It's seems a much bigger/harder decision than dc1 and dc2 were.

Completly with you Dlamis,i'm on cd 31 now and am going to test in the morning,my 2dds drove me mad today and now i'm a bit scared at possibility of no 3!

I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one who goes through days of desperately wanting a third (DD almost 3years and DS almost 1) and other times thinking I'm mad.

Am I being selfish? We're fortunate enough to have well paid jobs and could afford another child but I've pre-eclampsia in both pregnancies and have been told it's likely to occur again (renal problems).

I come from a family of 2 and so does husband so it seems like the "right" number - but we love our children so much, surely we could extend that to another?

I did a test this morning but it was negative, reread the instructions[as you do] and don't think i held it in wee long enough, not sure if to do another one or am i just clutching at straws? Just want to know one way or another Have'nt had problems with periods before although i think my cycles are longer than 28 days,i'm now on cd 32,my last period[only one ive had since coming off the pill]was heavy and painful and i felt rubbish, wondering if it was mc as was really careless with pill just before deciding to go for number 3,any ideas on what i should do?

We are ttc #3...first month of trying, tbh we weren't going to strat until march time as we are getting married in june, but have decided to try just this month to see what happens as then the timing wont be too bad before we get married.

I have 2 ds's from previous relationship..ds1 is 3.3 and ds2 19 months..i fell pg in the 1st and 2nd month of trying with them so i'm hoping for the same again..even though i know that every one is different.
I am now on 2ww which is torture and will be testing from 24th onwards

Not sure whether or not I'll be joining you guys in TTC #3, but wanted to say hi.

I have 2 DSs 8 and 5, and number 3 has always been at the back of my mind. AF was recently 4 days late which has made me seriously think about adding an extra one to our family. I was quite worried at the time, but when AF finally did show felt quite .

DH was surprisingly calm about a late AF, and said if you are you are!

Welcome Kaylo, roll on September! What are your cycles usually like Tobago? I only ask as mine are bonkers from 28 days to 65!! DS was conceived on CD35!! I regulated a bit after him and DD conceived on CD 20 so I never really know where I am!

Well i've only been off the pill twice in the last 7yrs and that was to have my other two, caught 3rd mth with dd1 and 1st mth with dd2,but do remember the 2 periods before catching with dd1 that my cycles were slightly longer than 28 days,i was always forgetting to take my pill the last 6mths so my body probabley does'nt know whats going on! My fault

DH and i decided fairly recently on #3, it was me who wasnt sure if we needed another baby. because 2 is fine, DS1(12) DS2(3).But i think bcos ds1 is from a previous relationship, i felt im ok ive had 2 babies whereas DH has only had 1 baby really even though he has raised ds1 since he was a 3yr old.
so i think its fingers crossed for DD this time and then im finished!

oooh, MrsD a dd would be lovely for you. A nice way to finish childbearing! I have one of each age 3 and 4, am secretly hoping for boy/girl twins this time around although the chances of that are super slim.

Hope everyone is well xx

Hi everyone. I'm also TTC#3, been trying for 8 months now. Have DDs 9 and 7, I know it sounds a bit crazy trying for a 3rd, but its taken me this long to persuade DH it's a good idea. Good luck everyone.

Hi vicky and renerusso

How is everyone?
Just coming onto this thread you can really feel the excitement from it all!! Or maybe I'm just weird that way I guess.

Anyhow, hoping you're all well - nothing to report from me I'm afraid as I'm not quite at the TTC stage but should be in a few weeks.

Take Care xx

Hi can I join too?

We are ttc No3 but this will be DH's first. I have 2 dc's (9 and 6) from a previous marriage.

I agree with everyone else that it is a big step deciding to go for No3. I had dd when I was 19 almost 20 and then ds when I was 23. Whilst I wouldn't change them for the world because I had dd when I was quite young I feel like my life was put on hold and now that ds is at school I can do more things. There are moments when I think to myself 'do I really want to go back to sleepless nights and shitty nappies!?'.

DD was conceived after ex and I had a drunken night out and got careless with contraception, ds was planned and I conceived the first cycle of trying. I know this time ttc it will probably be different as I have very irregular cycles.

I've had sore boobs for quite a while now, much sooner than I normally do and my nipples are noticably bigger. I have waves of nausea but that generally wears off if I eat something. I'm quite spotty too but that could be a symptom of AF about to arrive. I didn't really have any symptoms with my previous pregnancy's other than missing AF although I did have a heightened sense of smell with ds.
