This month, for the first time ever we (dh and I) have really given ourselves every chance possible of conceiving.

I've been using FAM for the first time. we've been BDing like crazy at the right time and I'm so hopeful whilst being so scared of having those hopes dashed. (i do know btw that even if we get it all right there is still only 1 in 4 chance etc).

As background: after ds was born in 2003, dh didn't want any more children. We struggled (well, I did) with this and the terrible conflict that ensued until last year.

We've been nominally trying since then, but tbh, not very hard (i.e. of 12 months, there were probably only 3 that we could have possibly conceived in).

Since the beginning of this year, dh really has changed his mind and now really really wants us to have another child. I got pregnant, but miscarried at the end of March.

First cycle I wasn't expecting to have my period 28 days (on the dot) after the miscarriage which I did.

I was absolutely miserable when I wasn't pregnant second cycle.

Now third cycle CD15. Today I found out a friend was pregnant at the same time as me, we both had a November due date. I'm so sad that we aren't having babies together and so sad for the baby that I lost.

A tarot card reader has also told me (this was a very amateur tarot reader...i know i know i know i know!!!) that no babies any time soon.

I so want to be pregnant this month and would be so grateful for your support, hand holding and prayers, vibes and lentils both in the hope of being and if I get my AF which is due on the 16th July.

I'm 37 years old and need to hold onto the fact that once we started trying properly I got pregnant fairly easily rather than letting the fact that at 37 i am decrepit with no eggs left and dh has deformed sperm be at the forefront as that is what it feels like i'm bombarded with all day every day in the press!

Any company gratefully appreciated...

sophable afraid i have nothing helpful to say, except sending you a hug and good vibes to help you feel better

Heathcliffscathy · 12/07/2009 12:19

urghhh. feel awful. tearful and doomed.

thanks hoping...what is it that you're hoping for? unless it's the obvious?

I tend to hang out on the emmsys onwards and upwards thread- so just the obvious! 3 mcs since November and no kids. felt just that way a few weeks ago, we were never going to have kids etc. I am now going for a combination of rigorous application of sods law (getting rid of handi-down maternity wear etc) and manic fertility upping (grapefruit juice, pre-baby vitamins, plenty of bding and anything else I can think of!) and feel a lot better now. hang in there, you're in a rough spot but you will come out the other side

Heathcliffscathy · 12/07/2009 17:34

god i'm so sorry, and thank you so much for posting...your hope gives me some...

Soph I'm the same re symptoms, last month I was convinced we'd done it but AF arrived bang on time

Heathcliffscathy · 13/07/2009 11:25

Joolsiam · 13/07/2009 11:44

Well my AF is due late on Sunday too (I can normally predict it to the hour !!

If it is going to arrive, I will spot briefly on Friday. Not sure I can wait that long though - my BOGOF First Response tests are calling to me !

More nausea yesterday but I'm starting to doubt myself again this morning. CM is not normal for this part of my cycle though and I've been feeling breathless for a few days so googled it - an early pg sign, caused by increasing levels of progesterone

Heathcliffscathy · 13/07/2009 15:07

ooo breathless here too. and cm much more than usual for this time of month. hallucinators are us!!!

i've been in a really good mood today for the first time in ages...today at least, it doesn't seem to matter so much if i'm not pregnant this month, need to chart for 3 months to really know what is going on anyway kind of thing.

if i could kill the hope life would be so much easier...

My AF usually arrives first thing Sunday morning although it was a few hours late last month so pretty regular!

I'm hoping to hold out until the weekend before I test....

Heathcliffscathy · 13/07/2009 17:47

Katnkittens · 13/07/2009 23:26

Wow 4 of us on Sunday!

Welcome summer, my DD1 has just turned 11 and would love me to have a baby! I also have a DS who is 13 and at the grunty stage but lovely and my 'baby' DD who is 5 and would probably have a love/hate relationship with a new baby!

Surely one of us will be lucky this month! It's far too early for a positive test too so dont rule anything out!

Heathcliffscathy · 14/07/2009 12:40

i keep using cheap tests (well, today and yesterday) and also obv BFN.

boobs massive and sore, but that would be par for the course at this time of the month. my mood is better though which is a good sign.

Katnkittens · 14/07/2009 21:37

Boobs are actually quite sore....

summerblock · 14/07/2009 22:32

Sophable, I heard that you needed a lentil.
Happy to oblige and good luck.

Heathcliffscathy · 15/07/2009 09:18

am getting less sure as the date draws nearer. my boobs are mahoosive and sore and that is normal for this time of the month (although they do feel even more sore than usual). i'm eating like a pig but that's probably cause i'm a pig rather than preg.

my temp dipped a tiny bit this morning. implantation? probably not!

i'm actually due on saturday, so will test sat morning.

did another cheapy to no avail this morning...at least it's only 50p worth of test!

thanks red lentil, i need all the help i can get!

OP posts:
fishie · 15/07/2009 09:27

fingers crossed for you.

Katnkittens · 15/07/2009 15:38

Also getting less positive as D Day approaches. Boobs feel less sore today but twingy and I'm still so tired... still resisting testing temptation, have usually done millions by now
Just trying to remember that even when I got my BFP in Jan, I had a neg ebay cheapie on CD26 so not much point in testing before then.
