Here's a shiny new thread named especially for 4ever, let this be the one where we get lots and lots of new BFPs and everyone's pants get bigger

Ever onwards and upwards for all of you lovely ladies

502 posts already!

Think our next thread should be called "the sticky bean greenhouse"

think I've blown my cover at work...in the middle of one of the wedding chats (thank god that's the current thing in our team!) someone started going on about how we needed babies next to talk about, casually mentioned someone else I know is pg (first I'd heard) and then I got teased as the newlywed about when the lo would be due.

fixed grin beat the tears. just.

bakingqueen · 16/07/2009 19:04

Hello miss you all sorry went awol stupid computer broke and stupid blackberry decided it would not let me read mumsnet!!!Backon line see I need to catch up will read the thread properly tonight! On day whatever cant remember no +opk for me this month and have religiously checked every day since day 10 getting a bit frustrating that now if I get a smily face it would be like winning the lottery! Went to sub fertlity clinic last week- was under them just before mc. Told me 3 years and 1 pregnancy was sub optimal so from next month am on clomid for 4 months will review that after that may get another few months if not will be put on waiting list for IVF- not really what I want and not sure if dh will be up for that . Just want a normal pregnancy without any intervention . Anyway so glad to be back with you all can't believe how much I have missed you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

MummyLovesSadie · 16/07/2009 20:12

Bakingqueen! Welcome back. Sorry for for all the problems you've been having but hey, clomid is good! Clomid means....... MULTIPLE BIRTHS - yay! It's what the Chinese buy in the back streets to overcome the one child per family rule. Do you think you can stockpile some & send it out to us Emmy's ladies?

BlueMoon1981 · 16/07/2009 20:43

not stopping, just a fleeting message to say good luck to curly and her bean for tomorrow. hope you are lurking so you can absorb all the sticky thoughts....

hello to all the lovely ladies xxx

MummyLovesSadie · 16/07/2009 20:44

Moon are you there? What happened with the pain you had after your erpc? I'm getting a horrible dull ache that is in my uterus region but feels nothing like af pain. It really hurts when I press my tummy.

MummyLovesSadie · 16/07/2009 20:44

OMG fate!

MummyLovesSadie · 16/07/2009 20:45

We posted at exactly the same time.

Joolsiam · 16/07/2009 20:48

MLS - is it more of a muscular pain ? I had lots of aches and soreness - some probably the after effects of "contractions" and others the result of all my bits moving back into their original positions - could be just that ?

MummyLovesSadie · 16/07/2009 20:57

It's like a weird dull throbbing right above my pubic bone that feels a lot more of a sharp pain if I press it. I know I should just stop pressing it.

I'm off to my gp anyway in the morning for the lowdown on my dodgy chest x-ray.

Joolsiam · 16/07/2009 21:00

Ovulation maybe ? that for me is a dull pain, and the first OV after last year's MC was agony.

MummyLovesSadie · 16/07/2009 21:04

Hmmmm I don't think so, I usually get ov pains but they are in one side. I think I should drink more wine & try not to think about it too much.

BlueMoon1981 · 16/07/2009 21:20

mls timing huh! i had medical management though not an erpc, but i did have weird pains for a while after, and my stomach hurt if i pressed on it or sat down and got up a bit quickly. its fine now though it seems to have rectified itself, but a few days before af cam it felt a bit sore again. i think its normal after your insides have been through such a trauma. i really wouldnt worry, you have been through a lot and it is still early days healing wise xx

BlueMoon1981 · 16/07/2009 21:22

cam? i mean came

MummyLovesSadie · 16/07/2009 21:31

Hmmmm yeah it does hurt when I sit down, it feels a bit like a punch up the fanjo.

Thanks so much Jools & Moon for coming to my rescue.

I'm off to bed now as I've had nearly a whole bottle of wine & I'm going to have a head tomorrow like a bag of cats.

Joolsiam · 16/07/2009 21:36

Sleep well MLS

Stomach cramps, backache and nausea chez Joolsiam am eyeing up the next First Response test in my underwear drawer ....

In meetings in London tomorrow, so will have to stop pretending to work and actually do some !

Lots of good wishes for Curly

cupcakefairy · 16/07/2009 22:47

Thinking of you tomorrow Curly will be lurking all day for news.

MLS I have had all sorts of weird pains since my mc...I'm on day 7 now, af is basically over but still getting random cramps and sharp pains.. as Moon says I'm sure it is v normal considering what your poor insides have been through.

Hoping sorry to hear about the work conversation just another one of those crap things we have to get through but at least we know never to say 'when are you gonna pop one out??' to anyone! Hugs to you xxx

Night girls!

Curlywurlee · 16/07/2009 23:18

cupcake you know me so well. Of course I can't help lurking tonight Thanks for the good wishes everyone. The hospital rang today to cancel my scan till next week I decided I couldn't do another weekend without knowing so have booked a private scan tomorrow instead. I was really upset though as this is like what happened last time, when I found out about my MMC from a private scan after my doctor didnt organise my dating scan. Hopefully this won't be history repeating itself.

Thinking of you tomorrow MLS hope the docs appointment goes well xxx

4ever lovely don't give up hope yet. You too iggy I still have high hopes for good news this month

Jools very excited for you. I'm crossing everything for that BFP for you

Moon I was so glad to see your post. I worry when you go quiet. Just want to send you a massive hug. Hope things are starting to look up for you xxx

mermaid I'm loving the sound of your crumble -send me some please I don't love the sound of much food at the moment

VJ lol at your lost fango

hoping brave lady, I don't know why people are so insensitive as to ask about baby plans. I always feel like blurting it out just so that they can learn not to do it to someone else

gracie your matron sounds lovely, I'm glad you'll be off and safe from nasties like swine flu for another while. Have a fab time in edinburgh

Mrskate how are you doing lovely lady? Is DH feeling better?

lots of love and big waves to anyone I haven't mentioned xxx

Joolsiam · 17/07/2009 09:26

Hope it goes well Curly We need to get some rotting veg from the back of the greenhouse and chuck it at the people who put back your scan

Another BFN this morning - 11 DPO. I was so nauseous yesterday, I'm sure I couldn't have imagined it. Less nauseous today but tender abdomen still. Oh well, I guess there is still a slim chance... I'll just wait it out now.

cupcakefairy · 17/07/2009 09:44

Oh jools sorry about the BFN hope TEW stays away this weekend!

Hi Curly oh that is rubbish that you feel like history repeating itself I really hope today banishes those demons from the last time. Thinking of you loads.

Forgot to say hi Baking last night glad you are still around...and that is good news about the clomid. Really hope it doesn't go as far as IVF for you. We're so due another run of BFPs...

4ever how are you feeling today lovely?

cupcakefairy · 17/07/2009 09:45

Ooh and a big yay for barbie being back today (it is today right? )

VJaybigpants · 17/07/2009 10:55

Thinking of you today curly, wishing you a very happy scan

cupcakefairy · 17/07/2009 11:13

Lurking for news of curly so thought I'd update the list while I'm here! As per your suggestion MLS, and in the interest of saving space every time we copy the list, have taken the plunge and removed some of our non-frequent posters...as you say they can always add themselves back on- it's not that we don't love you!

cupcake yes Barbie is back today as she has logged onto Facebook. Why aren't the rest of you using Facebook???

Good luck for today Curly, please update us asap.

Jools I still have high hopes for you, I guess you'll just have to leave it another few days.

Well I had my docs appointment today & apparently I have some shadows on my lungs. I have to take some really strong antibiotics & have another x-ray in four weeks time. As for my abdo pain, it was really bad first thing this morning but seems much better now. I totally forgot to ask the doctor about it, duh!

Joolsiam · 17/07/2009 12:48

I'm not very good with Facebook - keep forgetting about it ! I am friends with Barbie on there, and she sent me a list of other people to look for, but I haven't yet !! My profile pic is a siamese cat, so you can find me

Miserable day today - I came into our flagship new office in London for a meeting - was looking forward to lunch out, then maybe a drinkie after work but my meeting got cancelled and there is nobody around

Am thinking of finishing up here and going back to my nice cosy local office for the rest of the day, where it is friendly and not sterile and full of directors !

Still vaguely hopeful - my cm pattern post ov is most definitely not what I'd normally expect, so am holding on to that. Am confused by the nausea though - if it was PG related, surely that would mean there was enough HCG floating around to show up on a test ...

I should know either way by the morning, as if AF is arriving on time, I will have a little bit of spotting this evening. Am currently having maudlin thoughts about how much longer I can keep trying - when is "too old" to become a first time mum ?

barbie1 · 17/07/2009 13:03

miss me????

OMG i have missed you all so much.... but dh is proud that i stayed away and im sure all my family liked the time i spent with them

I panicked when i logged on as i couldnt find any of you!, thankfully you are all so chatty i found you in active conversations!

I will try to catch up this evening but can anyone give me a rough guide of what has been going on? any bfp???? I see curly has a scan, im going to read back to make sure she is just having one due to being impatient and nothing is wrong?

As for me, i have a scare 2 weeks ago, some discharge after sex but decided to bury my head in the sand and forget about it, have been feeling pretty rough and the festival was a bit of a challenge to say the least! Im 9 weeks today and im planning on a scan next week. Bupa give me up to £4000 a year on maternity stuff so i can more than get any with another scan

Right im off to catch up, speak soon xxxx
