I've nearly fallen off my chair with relief .

Hurrah x 10000! oh Gracie - you must be beyond thrilled .

GracieGirl · 11/07/2009 12:18

I think my brain has stopped working. I couldn't believe it when I got there and they said the clinic was running late, I had to stop myself having a tantrum in the middle of the floor. It felt like I was there for hours. Weird places Gynae Assessment Units aren't they, no one makes eye contact with each other in the waiting room and everyone has the same expression on their face.

Anyway my Bean is fine, dancing around all over the place. They're not sure why I bled so I've got to rest. I'm so relieved and in shock, I was completely convinced it was all over for me this time. Thank you everyone for your support.

Curlywurlee · 11/07/2009 12:22

I'm still grinning away gracie

So how are we doing on the BFP front? Who is near testing? Mermaid?

Joolsiam · 11/07/2009 12:26

Oh Gracie that has put a huge smile on my face So incredibly relieved for you, and it gives us all hope

Joolsiam · 11/07/2009 13:05

Iggy - I'm with you on the symptom spotting. Low level nausea here too - goes away if I eat. Had to visit the loo between gym classes today - unheard of ! Lots of lotiony cm aswell, which is not usual for this part of my cycle. Slightly tender nipples, larger boobs, got quite teary this morning reading a description of the July 7th memorial and keep wondering if I can feel vague things happening in my abdomen. Also a bit windy A bit of insomnia, vivid dreams ...

The only usual symptom for me that I haven't imagined spotted is that my long hair still comes out in handfuls - last Sept, at 13DPO, I wasn't shedding any hair at all, which made me test

I think I am 5 or 6DPO today, so still really early for symptoms.

What a headf*ck ! I NEED to test early according to the mc clinic, so I have my First Response tests (BOGOF in Boots) and may well start testing from Wed

MrsKate · 11/07/2009 13:42

hi all

i cant tell you how happy i am for gracie
i told her that this bean has to be a boy as no girl would be so naughty.

Curlywurlee · 11/07/2009 16:09

I think you're right kate no girl would be so cheeky as to wave at mum after causing all that worry either

Jools this is sounding very promising. Don't want to mess with your head more but you shed hair much more at certain times of the year so maybe that's why you are not getting that symptom

When is everyone testing? I can't keep track of cycle lengths

gracie have you come down from cloud 9 yet?

SabsBigPants · 11/07/2009 16:35

I also want to add how happy i am for gracie Thanks for the text as well to let me know how it went

How's everyone's saturday going? I ordered some baby clothes - unisex - off minimode. Went a bit crazy

MummyLovesSadie · 11/07/2009 16:52

Gracie so happy & relieved for you. Make sure you take it easy, put your feet up & don't move except to move your hand to reach for the box of chocolates.

GracieGirl · 11/07/2009 17:01

Just woke up. I'm doing as I'm told and resting lots. I'm still stunned. Also trying not to notice the fact that I'm still bleeding a bit. I did just look at the photo and smile, looks like a dancing Bean. The bean was definately wondering what all the fuss was about.

Jools those symptoms sound very promising.

MLS I have Green & Blacks dark chocolate - yummy.

Sabs nothing wrong with a bit of retail therapy!

SabsBigPants · 11/07/2009 17:07

mmm...green and blacks

VJaybigpants · 11/07/2009 17:23

oh gracie I'm so pleased for you

SabsBigPants · 11/07/2009 17:26

how you doing vjay. You must be around 33 weeks now? I'm so excited for you, our first emmsys baby!

VJaybigpants · 11/07/2009 17:38

Hiya sabs I've got 6.5 weeks to go. I'm very tired today been asleep this afternoon. You must be about 29 weeks then, do you find it going fast or slow now, I'm finding time is speeding up! I'm going to pack my hospital back next week and start drinking the raspberry leaf tea.

BlueMoon1981 · 11/07/2009 18:04

gracie i am soooo relieved everything is ok, i agree, it must be a boy!

VJaybigpants · 11/07/2009 18:09

Hey stop knocking boys, they're ace especially seeing as I have one and another on the way

SabsBigPants · 11/07/2009 18:14

vjay i'm finding time is going slow for me at the moment, and having comments like "you look so big for how far gone you are" doesnt help! I just cant wait to meet lo... Last day at work is 11th august, so exactly a month, so cant wait for that...

You'll have to tell me more about the benefits of raspberry tea...Advice about what to pack in the hospital bag would be gratefull received for a novice like me!

How is DS feeling about the arrival of lo?

VJaybigpants · 11/07/2009 18:46

sabs ds is very excited. Him and dh went camping the other night, the next morning they rang me and ds asked if I'd had the baby yet!!bless him

I didn't take raspberry leaf tea last time, but I'm going to try it this time, it apparently strengthens the uterus and makes labour a little quicker, I think.
As for the hospital bag, I've got a list from my midwife, but there's a few things I'm not going to bother with, so I will let you know what I've put into mine xx

MummyLovesSadie · 11/07/2009 19:48

Sabs advice re hospital bag... apart from the usual stuff like lip salve, face-wipes, duvet sized pads; don't bother taking any other clothes for yourself other than comfy trackie bottoms & more t-shirts that you think you'll need. I had a post-partum hemorrhage with dd & ended up having to stay in hospital for four days & just wore tracksuit bottoms & t-shirts that I had to get dh to bring in for me. I wouldn't bother with the (delightful) disposable knickers either, just go to Primark & get a bumper pack that are so cheap you don't care if you throw them away. One thing I really wish I'd taken into hospital was a sleep mask. I was lucky enough to be able to baggsy a room to myself for the time I was in but it was still way too light & a sleep mask would have helped no end..... not that you get much sleep as you will be spending the night gazing at your perfect little person & feeling wide away from your new-mummy hormones.

hopingalways · 11/07/2009 20:54

gracie yipee! so pleased for you!

cupcake (hug) really thought it would be your month here's to getting BFPs together next month so we can gang up on the EPAU staff up at the Heath

sabs your babby knits should be on their way on Monday when I can get to the post office

jools everyone sheds hair in the summer - think animals moulting ok maybe not the best image, but thought I would add to the headf*ck

just been to see the tiny fluffy kittens - all they do is eat and sleep, and they could fit in coffee cup they are so tiny! aww. really felt for mummy cat when I caught her halfway through the 8th feed of the day - her expression just said "help! formula milk and 4 bottles, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!"

iggypiggy · 11/07/2009 22:11

gracie read your news earlier - so happy for you!

big hello to all - am still feeling bit sick... but then again have felt sick before and not been PG... and last time I had terrible pain on right side at 10 dpo... and that would be about now I guess... hmm..

Molliemooma · 12/07/2009 09:04

Gracie I am so made up for you, I bet you are so relieved and still grinning like a cheshire cat
Fab news

Jools & *Iggy You two sound like our next hopefuls

Joolsiam · 12/07/2009 09:05

Morning all Still smiling for you Gracie I wish Barbie would pop in from her hols and tell us all is OK with her too..

I went out to a friends birthday meal yesterday - country pub in the middle of nowhere and a long walk beforehand - lovely Loads of comments about my weight loss which made me feel really good

Around half way through the meal, I started getting mild stomach cramps. Driving home, I felt really quite sea sick and even contemplated pulling over to throw up at one stage Vivid dreams / insomnia / too hot last night and a tender, mildly swollen and crampy abdomen this morning, together with more nausea

This nausea is as strong now, at 6 / 7 DPO as it was at its worst with the pregnancy last year that lasted nearly 12 weeks

All very strange. I've almost convinced myself that a test in a few days will show a BFP, but with such strong symptoms now, my mind is going into overdrive ...

Too dog tired for the gym today - going back to bed with a cuppa

VJaybigpants · 12/07/2009 13:47

Sounds hopeful jools snd iggy, fingers crossed for you both

mermaid you've gone quiet, hope you're ok

When does barbie get back from her hols?

Hope everyone is alright, it's a bit quiet on here today xx
