Hi Pink. I was fairly dry this last cycle and didn't have any EWCM. I had guessed I ovulated because of my temperature rise and ovulation pains. Sure enough my day 21 bloods confirmed it.

Pinkali37 · 17/11/2009 15:47

SEVANS thank you for that. Do you know whether if my cycle was 36 days after having my DD, will clomid keep it at that or make it shorter????

Pinkali37 · 17/11/2009 15:56

p.s. i once tried doing the basal temp thing but each mornign i woudl jump out of bed and then think "bugger" i'm supposed to take my temp before i move.

Sevan- what was your day 21 result? What cycle of clomid were you on and at what amount? Sorry for all the questions. x

sevans · 17/11/2009 16:21

Pink, I really don't know what Clomid will do to your cycle as far as making it shorter or longer. I never had regular periods. I took 50mg of Clomid and this was my first cycle. My day 21 results were 33. Don't worry about asking too many questions. I am happy to help!!

Debicemmy2 · 17/11/2009 19:09

Hi Pink I too have endo....reasons I am on clomid is the endo and my age(which I worry about, lots) I am 41.....Clomid as made my cycle longer for sure and it is well known for it hun. Hope that helps a little.
Hope your all well and and keeping you faith.

Sevans Problem is i just don't know when to do it. DH starts to feel it is mechanical so i ahve to time it just right but obviously not sure when to do it. Can i ask why you were taking clomid?

Debicemmy2 what cycle are you on?

clairebear88 · 18/11/2009 12:02

Hi all

Its so good to hear some success stories as there was a dry spell for quite a while.

Breif fert history - age nearly 33, no dc, ttc for 2.5yrs, had all the tests but all they found is kinky tubes and a high cervix, 6 months of clomid in 2008 and 6 months in 2009 with no luck.
I havent been on for a while as I thought I was thinking about TTC too much. I finished my 6months of clomid in Sept with no joy, went to FC and they have put me forward for IUI but I have gotta get my BMI from 33 to 30 ( 2 stone to lose ). It makes me so mad that there are all sizes of women who can fall naturally but I have to fit into a certain size just to get the child I long for.

Hello to all that remember me and hello to newbies. virtual wave x

sevans · 18/11/2009 14:59

Pink, I took Clomid because of PCOS. I got off the pill at the end of June this year and DH and I TTC for all of July, Aug, and Sept but I didn't get one period...hence no ovulation. I went to my RE who I had been seeing for yearly checkups since diagnosed with PCOS and she put me on Provera to induce a period and started me on Clomid in October. As far as timing goes, my RE told me dates to TTC on based on my cycle dates. I think it was basically every other day between CDs 14 and 20. I also take my BBT each morning so I was able to tell the date when I ovulated which was CD 18. I also had ovulations pains the day before, the day of, and slightly the day after ovulation.

sevans · 18/11/2009 15:03

I forgot to say hi to clairebear! I don't think we have met! I wish you the best of luck with your TTC journey. I really hope the IUI works for you. I'm sorry that you have to lose weight. It does seem unfair for you but I hope that you keep your chin up and move forward with a smile on your face. You will get that baby that you have been longing for.

Debicemmy2 · 18/11/2009 18:05

Hi Pink I have done 4 cycles on clomid hun. First 3 on 50 mils and 4th on 100(worked much better.....I had 4 really big folicals......just waiting now for my AF to arrive. First cycle was 40 days long then...29.....31.....32 as you can see my cycles are not staying the same. Normally I would have a 28day cycle but since I have been on clomid its been longer.

Clairebear88 Welcome hun keep smiling

stac14 · 18/11/2009 18:39

hiya clairebear think we met before, how are you? I am doing the same as you at the moment, joined a diet class last week and happy to report that I lost a pound and a half (a little closer to the target) what have you been up to? I havent had clomid in 6 months but have been taking metformin, waiting for af to take clomid again.

How are the rest of you ladies? All good I hope, I need to catch up on the posts, heads all over the place at the moment lol

baby dust to all

popsy1 · 18/11/2009 18:45

Hello ladies how are you all?

Well i've calmed down now, thank you so much for your words of reasurrance and support. I have just finished my 5th months worth of clomid, now on CD6.

Hi Clairebear88 . I'm not sure if they will recommened iui as our next step, cons app 22nd Dec. I will also need to lower my BMI, esp as i've put on a stone whilst taking clomid. I just cant face dieting on top of everything else!!!

My cycle length also varies 39 31 35 32 days whilst on clomid. About 2 periods a year before clomid.
xx

Pinkali37 · 18/11/2009 19:29

Hello Everyone

Clairebear [hug] look at me. I was given a no chance of conceiving after seeing a specialist professor in IVF. He basically said NOPE to me. I was heart broken as we were fighting it from all angles (DH only has 33% good sperm and i don't ovulate and have Endometriosis EVERYWHERE) but alas after 3 years of trying (but only 3 months of clomid) i conceived. Have you tried accupuncture along with takin your clomid? I never believed in it before but i got preg the month i started accupuncture and part of me thinks it helped my mind set. The month i got preg was the month i almost let go and stopped being so hung up on it as i realised it was ruining my life.

When i was on clomid when i had DD i was told to take it from days 2-5 and to abstain from days 10 to 12 and then basically do it like rabbits. But this time i just don't seem able to time it right. If i do it too much it is sods law the DH starts to feel like a robot and then gives up.

My cycle the month before clomid was 32 and i knew when i ovulated (but i had been on roaccutane for skin and you can't conceive for 6 weeks so i left it 3 months and that was my last month). I even predicted when AF would start because for the first time ever i knew when i 'O' and i got it right but dam it couldn't do it. Then 1st month on C it was 36 (normal for me since DD) but had no indication that i had ovulated. I am now on day 17.

I'm sorry for babbling. x

tembie6699 · 19/11/2009 13:39

hi guys been absent for a bit .....no AF yet and am CD29 its usually on CD27 - got tempted to do a test today ( big mistake ) ...it was a BFN , i have very sore to touch nipples, I had cramps around CD22 for a few days ....my temp is high and am moody and constantly tired - am i reading too much into things ...just maybe but my cycle has been pretty regular lately so am just gonna wait until next week to test ....

tembie6699 · 19/11/2009 13:39

Hey Sevans - congrats girl so happy for you xxxxxxxx

clairebear88 · 19/11/2009 13:56

Hiya

Thanks for the welcome back, I have missed the support of people who really understand.
Popsy - I think thats what annoyed me when they said I have to lose 2 stone as I have put on 1 1/2 stone since being given clomid May 08. SSooooooo frustratin but we will do it.

Hi stac I remember you and its good to see we are sort of in same boat so can be weight loss buddies too. My dh has been so great as been doing the diet and exercise with me bless him. They did offer me another 6 months of clomid along with metaformin but I just couldnt face anymore tablets and modd swings. Just thought I would take matters into my own handes and get to a good place again.

pink - thats so good to hear the success stories as it gives us all hope. especially as I have not got any medical reason to not fall pregnant. I have had reflexology but not accupuncture so maybe ill give it a go ta also know how you fell with DH as he feels like the fun went and that was another reason I came off clomid for a while.

Tembie - sounds promising x x

stac14 · 19/11/2009 16:16

Hey clarebear I don't really have much option as already have ds and they wont give me anymore fertility support unless I want to join the egg share programme or pay of IVF and to be honest we are hoping some weight loss and lots of luck will do it for us. nice to see you back

Hey tembie sorry about bfn huni but it may just be too soon to test.

popsy whats your next move after the clomid or hasnt the cons discussed it with you yet?

Hi everyone else hope your all well, its so depressing here its not stopped raining aarrgghh!!!

popsy1 · 19/11/2009 16:47

Hi all
stac and clairebear you have inspired me to shift some weight!!!!

Stac haven't really got any idea what they will suggest. Appointment is 22nd Dec (hopefully it wont put a downer on xmas, struggling this year as it is ) when we went in October she said she would give us 2 more cycles i.e. 4 and 5 and then go from there. We would have to fund IVF ourselves as we have a DS. Plus we have a new cons who to be honest wasn't that helpful last time. Hopefully i wont need to go . Are you taking clomid stac or metformin? What does that do? Sorry for silly question.

xxx

Pinkali37 · 19/11/2009 17:27

OMG i think i ovulated this morning. Woke as normal went down stairs and got the most intense pain either side (as in ovaries) and felt terrible for a bit. Also had a dodgy tummy, but as soon as the pain disappeared it went back to normal. I then panicked about hyperstimulation and now it's all stopped. nipples are sensitive though. Think i've worn DH out in last few days so not if he will give it a go tonight

Basically we all have to think positively. Hard at times but it's true. x

sevans · 19/11/2009 18:01

Pink, that sounds promising! I really hope you are ovulating!!!!!

Thanks tembie! I am still somewhat in disbelief. I got my blood test back and it was positive as well. I am going to see my RE on Dec 1 because she wants to check me out and do an ultrasound before releasing me to my ob/gyn. For some reason I'm just so worried until I hear a heart beat or more proof that there is a baby growing inside of me!

Babydust to all!

popsy1 · 19/11/2009 18:36

I'm sure I've read that someone else has reflexology on here? Or was i dreaming? I've just come back from my second session and she asked me to ask my Fertility Doc when the best time of the month is to come. Does anyone know???

XXX

popsy1 · 19/11/2009 18:36

oops forgot to say. Excellent news Pink
xx

stac14 · 19/11/2009 21:47

Hey pink thats great news, fingers crossed for you hun

popsy I am taking metformin 2550mg per day to regulate af, it also assists ovulation. It's not usually used for pcos as its a drug for diabetes but its been proven to help pcos. I will take clomid when af arrives. I'm sure your cons will be better with you, sometimes it feels like a postcode lottery. Regarding the reflexology think its so they are working in sync with your cycle, my friend does it and is going to do it on me.

sevans thats fab news you have had bfp confirmed, have you worked out your due date? will you find out what your having?

hi to all, and lots of baby dust

Pinkali37 · 20/11/2009 11:26

popsy1 sorry i don't know anything about that. When i had accupuncture i just started it when they had an appointment and kept it up until i 8 weeks pregnant. If i remember correctly i was probably around the first week on AF.

Sevans YEY on positive blood test. That's great.

Re me ovulating, well we didn't do it last night as DH was too tired. We had done it daily running up to it so perhaps that will work? They say it is easier to get pregnant before ovulation than afterwards because the sperm stays around longer than the egg.

sevans · 20/11/2009 14:37

Hi stac, if I am calculating correctly, I think I'm due July 20 so that makes me about 5 1/2 weeks now. And yes, I will definitely find out what the baby's gender is.

pink, DH and I didn't do it the day I ovulated but did it the two days before!
