Littlemissmischief - from what I read about baby aspirin, it appears to increase blood flow to the uterus, allowing for thicker & healthier uterine lining. Clomid apparently thins the lining, so some recommend taking baby aspirin when taking clomid. Kinda interesting - I have never heard of it before, but have recently read lots about it. You should google it..check it out.

kimpin · 08/10/2009 20:22

Littlemissmischief - oh, I forgot to ask...have you any preg symptoms yet? ANy feelings?

DuelingFANGo · 08/10/2009 20:30

Sevans, I have read that too. Am on clomid from day 2 -6 but not sure why. My cycle is quite short so maybe that? All I know is I got pregnant straight away on clomid but then miscarried. They said it wasn't the clomid but I do wonder if the quality was crap.

Littlemissmischief · 08/10/2009 20:43

Kimpin - I am a serial symptom spotter and am sure I do have pg symptoms, the only one I had with my DS to begin with was sore boobs, which i have had for the last couple of days but then could be the Clomid or just me, im really trying not to get obsessed with it all. I will look into the baby asprin it sounds very interesting, how is it different to normal asprin?

Thanks for looking that up Sevans, i was wondering about that, although i suppose i could have looked it up myself if i was that worried lol.

Duelingfango - sorry about your miscarrage hun, I must admit I have heard so many people say that got pg very quickly with clomid but miscarried and im really worrying about it because it seems really common, you might have a point with the poor quality of the follicles, I am also taking mine days 2-6.

kimpin · 08/10/2009 20:49

Littlemissmischief - the only difference is just a lower dosage..that's all -

kimpin · 08/10/2009 20:54

Also, this baby aspirin is apparently good for those who have recurring miscarriages - again, with the thinned uterine wall..if nothing happens for me this month, I am going to check with my doc about taking a baby aspirin for next time.

Littlemissmischief · 09/10/2009 10:28

Just had my CD21 bloods done - so fingers crossed i get a good number next week!

Kimpin - been reading about the baby asprin but can only find things saying it can cause miscarrage and not too take it without a doctors say so but will defo speak to my doc about it when I see her next x

Hows everyone else? x

tembie6699 · 09/10/2009 14:24

hi all - the past 2 days have been really hard for me - so much pressure to have a child its unbelievable , if its not my hubby , its my mum , his mum, our friends ...its constant - am actually starting to believe it may never happen.....

on another note am on CD13 toays - currently experiencing lower abdominal pains ..the pain is significant when i walk ...its also quite sharpish ... .having read other peoples comments i understand it usually means its ovulation time ..please note am not being monitored for my Clomid ...so am on my own ......

sevans · 09/10/2009 14:34

Littlemiss - I'm crossing my fingers for you! I hope your results are fantastic! tembie - I'm sorry to hear about the pressure you are getting. Please don't lose hope. Your symptoms sound like you may be ovulating! Best of luck!!

Last night I took my 10th Provera pill. I thought today was my last day so I was pleasantly surprised last night when I opened the bottle to see just one pill left. Now I am anxiously waiting for AF.

I hope each of you has a great weekend!!

kimpin · 09/10/2009 15:03

Littlemissmischief - oh definitely - I wouldn't take it either without consulting with doc first...I was wondering if anyone else heard of it...guess not.

tembie6699 - I am on day 15 - also feeling a bit of pressure...hope its ovulation... I am too on my own with this...little stressing. Is this your first round of clomid?

tembie6699 · 09/10/2009 15:27

kimpin - yeah its my first round - to be honest i never thought a pill would be what i needed to have a child - I remember DP & I spent a couple of years trying not to have an unplanned baby - how i wish i would have somehow known the struggles i would face trying to have one - my mum has been a pillar of support / however nagging about getting old blah blah blah ...- I am over-weight so am trying to have a child and also trying to lose weight at the same time ..."sigh" I trust in God ....xxxxxxxxxxxxx

popsy1 · 09/10/2009 18:33

Hi all
Good luck littlemismischief i hope you have a nice high number . Last month AF arrived on CD32, but my cycles are sooo unpredictable i'm scared to get my hopes up. I'm abit like you an have seem so many BFN i not sure how i'll cope with another.
Any way how is everyone else?
xx

popsy1 · 10/10/2009 19:59

Cd 35. Did my hpt this morning n got a bfn. Can't tell u how gutted I am but I'm sure you've all felt similiar . No matter how many times I try and convince myself I'm not pg, to try and soften the blow, it still hurts like hell. I've spent most of the day in tears. Really close to giving up so fed up. Sorry for moaning but thought i'd post as I know u ladies will understand.
Xx

sevans · 10/10/2009 23:31

Oh popsy, I'm so sorry girl. I know it must be really hard for you today and I feel awful that you spent the day in tears. I really hope things turn up for you soon.

AF began her visit today. I normally would not be so excited for AF, but you all know that it means I get to start my first round of Clomid this week. I am going to try and stay positive and relaxed!

stac14 · 11/10/2009 00:41

popsy soz about bfn huni, hope your feeling better, sending virtual {{hugs}} and boxes of chocolate.

sevans when you starting the clomid then? keep my fingers crossed its a good month for you hun xxx

sevans · 11/10/2009 01:43

Thanks stac! I hope it's a good month for me too. I start Clomid day 5...so Wednesday. I'm following your advice and taking it at night.

Littlemissmischief · 11/10/2009 10:07

Hey Popsy - sorry hun, i dont want to get your hopes up for no reason, but it took me until CD43 to get a BFP with my DS and i did ovulate on CD14 because my dates were acurate all the way through and he was born on his due date good luck x

Tembie - I hope your not feeling as down now hun, I know its hard but try to keep positive we will all get there!

Sevans - Good luck with the clomid hun

How are you Stac?

Well I have sore boobs and they are really hot and keep feeling sick and nearly was sick yesterday but trying not to get my hopes up (and failing miserably).

popsy1 · 11/10/2009 13:57

Thanks for your messages ladies, it does help having others to talk to. My DH has been great and is also disappointed but its great to have your support as well. AF arrived this morning so not a false test unfortunately. Did some research on internet last night, looking for some success stories, how long have people been taking clomid for? Lots of the stories i read had success within the first 3 months. I'm alittle worried that as i only have 2 months left it might not work.

How's everyone else? What stage are you at now?
Good luck sevans, keep us all posted.
xx

Littlemissmischief · 11/10/2009 20:30

Ah Popsy, im sorry hun . How many cycles on Clomid have you had?

Can I just ask, when were you all told to DTD? I was told CD9 - CD19 and defo on CD14 and 3 times a week, is that the same as everyone else? Not sure whether to keeping trying now this month, im on CD23 now?

How was everyones weekend? x

popsy1 · 11/10/2009 21:10

Littlemismisschief, this will be our 4th month this time round, had 9 cycles of clomid 8 yrs ago, so they thonk this will be our last 2 months. How about you?
Think we were told CD 10, 12, 14 and 16, definately day 14. Ive used the clomid ovulation calendars on the internet and they say to start BD from cd9 every other day but dont say when to stop!! So if you've got the energy, time and opportunity keep trying
Wishing you lots of luck xxx

Has anyone tried aromatherapy or reflexology? Anyone had any success?

Littlemissmischief · 12/10/2009 10:47

Hey Popsy, I am only on my 1st cycle and have been given 4 months in total to try, the cons said she thinks i wont need that many so im praying she is right.

We DTD from CD8 - CD20 every other day and made sure CD14 too so hopefully we caught it, because ive heard conflicting bthings about clomid making you ovulate early and others say late so thats why we covered all bases. Thanks for the luck, think we might need it, sending you lots back xxx

tembie6699 · 12/10/2009 12:55

hi guys just to let you know feeling more positive now .....just want you to know that i appreciate all ur support - where would i be with out you guys - i wouldnt be on clomid if it wasnt for you - love u all ..xxx

LiLew · 12/10/2009 13:24

Hey Ladies! I've just caught up on all your posts - I was on holiday last week.

popsy1 - sorry to hear AF came. I know that feeling so well and it's really not nice. I'm on CD28 and I just know what's coming - I'm going to be feeling exactly the same as you did and reckon I'll be crying all day!! Even though I'm telling myself I'm not PG, there's still that little glimmer of hope which knocks you right back when AF comes!

I've tried reflexology - the first time I had it was the first and only time I ovulated since TTC. However, I have since had reflexology (pretty much once a month for the last 9 months) and it's not helped with ovulation since.

Hope you're all well! xxx

LiLew · 12/10/2009 15:46

Woohoo! Just thought I'd share this with you girls: I called the hospital for my blood test results and it turns out that I ovulated this month!!

I know this is very normal for most women, but for me it's not!

I am soooo happy - it's the first time I've ovulated since December!!!

xxx

Littlemissmischief · 12/10/2009 16:08

ARGGGHHH . Ive just rang the cons secteray for my blood results as asked and she is on holiday till wednesday and there isnt a number for anyone else to contact, so been sat here stomach churning all day and now have to wait another 2 days to find out, I know its not that bigger deal but just wanted to know, plus if I didnt ovulate an d need to go on a higher dose there is no chance I will get in to see her before my AF will start so thinking im going to miss a month now.

Its silly but i feel so now, just want some good news for a change.

Congrats Lilew thats great how long did you have to wait to get your results? x
