Good to "see" you Curly - you have been missed

MLS - slapped wrist for testing so early give it time ...

Had an awful night - was awake from 2.30 to 5.30 with bad back pain and am shattered now - strangely, I'm still finding smells nauseating and feel quite sick and headachey but my boobs are flat as pancakes and not at all tender any more.

Got up with DP otherwise I'll sleep through my appointment. have sent him off to work as it is his last day of a fixed term contract and there is a chance of negotiating a new one - work and securing future income takes priority, so I'll make do with virtual hand-holding.

If I am still pregnant though, I will be absolutely amazed. Bleeding has been steady for 24 hours now - not heavy but not spotting either ...

I have also GOT to do at least 2 hours work to finish something crucial and hand it over before I go away on Monday. That is going to be hard.

jools good morning. Is there someone you could take with you? cos some real hand holding is good at times like this.
I know it of scant help but we are all thinking of you so much.

Jools - virtual hand holding at the ready. I'm nipping out for an hour at 9:30am and at 12:30 but I'm around all day apart from that. Sorry your DP has to work, sometimes it just has to be. You are a very strong person to be able to go alone, my DH wasn't there for my scan or operation (bloody work!) but my Mum came with me.

MLS and Mermaid I'm just as naughty as you two, day 21 (far far too early) and BFN!

4ever-Thanks for advice re trying to find walk in EPU near me, i decided to bite the bullet and pay for private scan-£100, i so hope its good news.
It really makes me too, pregnant wommen who carry on smoking even though they know it can harm their baby, yet nothing bad ever seems to happen to them, not that i would wish a mc on anyone, its just so upsetting when you know you have done everything you can to look after your bean, yet you still lose it.
My SIL drank and smoked all the way through her pregnancy, even though i begged her to give up, and thankfully had a healthy DS.

Scorpio-Happy for you that you got your scan appointment, though sorry to admit am a tad too. It is such a postcode lottery when it comes to things like this.
I think all women who have had a mc should be entitled to at least one reassurance scan.

Ive got private scan booked for next Sat, £100 it is costing, i hope it is good news, i really do. Tried contacting midwife who had said i could have reassurance scan at EPU, only to be told she doesnt work there now, oh well i tried.

Jools been thinking of you constantly, so sorry you are going through this immense worry, will be keeping everything crossed.. You sound very brave and strong but I agree with mermaid a real hand to hold would be good - is there anyone could go with you? DH is getting his blood screen results today ready for my 'transfusion' next week! One step closer! Another weekend of decorating planned just want to blitz it so when PG again I dont have anything to do! Sis down from worcs with her new dog so her, mum, dh and me seeing 80 something aunty later so another half day for me!

annie good luck with your scan, though am you have had to go private - it is such a postcode lottery. I was refused an early scan too.

I'm still on tenterhooks waiting for the amnio results - not until next week. This has been the longest wait ever, worse than the 2WW

annicam - i totally agree with you, I do feel lucky that i got one, GP is family friend so im sure that helped, although it shouldnt have to be like that iyswim. You shouldnt have to be £100 lighter just to know that your baby is healthy in there.

I am very scared today. DD (just gone 1) had D&V (better now, it was all night) and im terrified im going to get it and it will make me mc. I am just so scared and cant see this ending right even though last time was so different (think was CP or blighted ovum?)and i still ahve symptoms/no bleedng/cramps but im so scared today and keep crying.

DH got all results back from GP & e-mailed to the Portland, apart from one! Typical! Its law his blood is screened up to 30 days before 'transfusion' (they take a pint & filter white cells, but still classed as transfusion). Have to chase that one outstanding test now as they must have by TUes...

Awww scorpio your bound to panic, try & take your mind off things with some crap telly or a mag, your scan will soon be here...

4ever morning lovely. We need a result and those waiting for appointments chart not a cd chart Do dhs results mean he is just clear of all the blood nasties so he is safe to be used for transfusion? I am guessing so, so yippee a step closer.
I think the accupuncture has sort of wrapped a protective layer round me, bit like the ready brek advert I feel much stronger and able to face stuff whereas on Monday I was just a complete wreck.
the best bit though and I am still grinning about it now is when she went to put a needle in my chest and wondered if I had implants cos 'I looked so perky' oh the wonders of bra technology, worth every penny

vjay you have a scan tomorrow are you really going to ask the flavour? and have you managed to get your funding for ds sorted.

For the record ladies I was due on today as I seem to be on a 24 day cycle so I think I was justified

Scorpio I know exactly how you are feeling, you are describing me perfectly. I've been bursting into tears at nothing and waking up each morning thinking is this the morning my baby will die and I won't know, or will it be tomorrow etc. I had 2 mm/c and no indication anything was wrong, even saw the hb for the 2nd one, so I am panicking constantly. That's why the doctor has signed me off, as I was in such a state when I saw her Weds, work has been really stressful too and now ms has kicked in I can't ignore the fact I'm pg. So if you'll hold my hand, I'll hold yours and we'll try and be strong together

Awww Scorpoio, sending you big hugs. Keep repeating to yourself, this is a new pregnancy, it is understandable you will be upset, pregnancy post mc is full of worry. Hope you're getting plenty of hugs from DH and hope your DD is better soon poor mite. You will probably feel more tearful as its the hormones and tiredness from being up with DD, is there anyone who can look after DD for a bit today so you get a bit of 'me' time?

thankyou mollie thats how i feel, kind of. i am 5+3 today and yesterday i was positive; today i have woken up 'wrong' and its crappy. DH doesnt really know what to say, he is lovely though and let me snot all over him this morning I do have slight ms, sore boobs and that general whoozy feeling and tiredness - my goodness! but still worry.

My DH ex (mum of my dss) is 9 weeks; she has it so easy. She doesnt parent my dss very well, has just met a new boyfriend 14 weeks ago and is already 9 weeks. Makes me wonder why some people have all the luck.

I am plannign on lying on the sofa and looking after dd all day today. not even going out unless school run.
