Frizbe · 21/04/2005 09:58

come on Munz positive thinking girl! sure it'll all be ok! do you know, I never bothered about smoke until I was preggers with dd, suddenly couldn't stand it, and have had an increased sense of smell ever since!

Worriedbev · 21/04/2005 10:11

Morning ladies
Feeling very down in the dumps today. DH is still not feeling up to it last night and the last time we bedded was on Sunday night. Got a fainter line on the opk stick yesterday evening so I think we have missed it this month. I am very upset and want to give up totally. I am now feeling very anti DH right now as I hoped this month would be it using the opks. I had two dark lines on the opks on Monday and Tuesday. My ttc though is confusing me as it was 36.3 yesterday and now 36.5 but it never goes very high or stays high for long, very erratic. I am using a digital thermometer that I got from the garage, £2.99 instead of £6.99 with so much petrol we bought, It is brilliant but I am not sure it is the correct one to use.

Could anyone give me some support and advice right now, as hit rock bottom today.
Bev

Well I don;t know what's going on. AF was supposed to arrive yesterday and didn't...still no sign this morning so decided to do a ClearBlue test, one of those digital ones. Only I got the thing mixed up and didn't use the digital reader thing. Looked at just the pee stick...and low and behold the faintest of lines.... . However, not wanting to get too excited...bought a First Response test on my way in to work as I thought they are supposed to be more sensitive....have just done it and it's negative .

So.....still unsure - still feel a bit wierd, still no sign of AF. Question is......on the ClearBlue digital tests - if you take the stick out of the digital reader thingy - and you were pregnantt, would you still expect to see two lines like the normal pregnancy tests??

Confused of Surrey....... xx

Hope everyone else is OK though....and by the way...I'm not getting my hopes up - surely at one day ovedue I would expect more evident HCG levels by now??

Oops- sorry for posting twice....technical error!!

munz · 21/04/2005 15:01

afternoon all, been to the gyno, had a good visit actually nothing to worry about, she seems to htink I may not OV on my shorter months (every other one then!) but says not to worry too much - yeah right! she did a swob for chylmidya (sp) again as a matter of course, she checked my cervix whilst she was in the area, and said everythings perfectly healthy there, and in the straight down postion whihc is good, also that I have 'classic' EWCM today and she asked when I OV, which was yesterday (or o I thought) anyhow has re newed my hopes as we'll be BD today, so u never know, so ladies u don't need to actually see the EMCM dripping so to speak cos I never have done but it's in the important place. have had blood tests done again fro rubella anti bodies and such likes, and she's booked me in for the lap dye thingy, so all go this end at least it's productive, next apt isn't until august but i'm hoping young rom over there has bumped me to the top of the que! lol.

hand bag - the digital tests can prove to be false look for the words not the lines on those one as they trace other hormones as well.

WB - good luck hon, hula's really ur girl for temping as she does it (u do still do it hula right?) hope things manage to sort them selves out thou.

jessicasmummy · 21/04/2005 15:03

good news munz - glad everything seems to be ok - no excuses for not being pregnant before ur next appointment really is there!!!!

Frizbe · 21/04/2005 16:43

Oh Bev, don't give up hope, Sunday may have been your day?! sometimes these things happen when we least expect them!
Handbag! I'm gona check out that website myself! Looks like we're both still missing our AF's then! fingers x'd eh!
Munz, glad to hear all is looking ok, happy BD tonite.
Good luck and lots of baby dust to all.

Worriedbev · 21/04/2005 17:35

Thanks Frizbe for your lovely words.
I will not give up hope totally then but keep going however hard it is and believe me every month gets harder , 13 months now of using no contraception, but only 2 months of ttc and opks so dont know really how long you can say I have been trying, would you say 13 months or 2 months!
Bev

Hula can you help with my ttc chart if you are about - maybe I could email it to you tomorrow from work. Could you let me know please
Bev

HandbagAddiction · 21/04/2005 17:47

WorriedBev - I would give yourself an opportunity to view starting TTC with OPK's as a completely new phase...and would think of it as starting from scratch....so it's 2 months then???

Frizbe...can' believe there's still no AF for you either. Boobs tingling like mad today but low abdominal pain all but disappeared. Dispatched dh earlier this afternoon to buy some more tests...NOT the digital ones...don't want to have the hassle of using it incorrectly tomorrow morning! I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve....if I go to bed earlier than normal, will tomorrow morning come quicker???

Frizbe · 21/04/2005 18:25

Bev I'd count it as trying for 2 mths as cycles can be all over the place! I think mine is a case in point at the moment...hurmph....
Handbag, good luck for tomorrow am, I reckon my af will show up then, if not then I may risk another test at the weekend.....not wasting my money before then!

Debbsy · 21/04/2005 20:19

Fingers are crossed for you frizbe and handbag.

Hulababy · 21/04/2005 21:02

Good to hear gyno appointment went well Munz; hope DH was feeling better today!

Not done temping for past couple of months - it was making me too stressed about TTC, so counter productive I guess really. Just using the OPKs now. My temps were always erratic, and again never particularly high. Sorry.

Good luck frizbe and handbag

Debbsy · 22/04/2005 07:33

munz glad to hear your appointment went well.Hi hula hope your well ive gone onto order your baby thread as i thought u 2 had.Not speaking to hubby as hes a PIG and feeling v panicky (see other thread) hope to speak to you both soon.

angelp · 22/04/2005 07:45

Just TTC for 1st month here so come to join you if I may?
Have a DD of 20 months and have only just felt ready to try for another. She is a good girl but up and going by 5am so I am permanently tired. DH isn't a great practical help either but I'm still determined to have another. I am 37 though so time is running against me somewhat. Pinched a bit of the previous babydust, hope thats ok!

angelp · 22/04/2005 07:45

By the way am trying ovulation sticks but have no idea if they are any good. Very expensive anyway so probably have to resort to guessing time of month!

HandbagAddiction · 22/04/2005 10:16

Morning everyone and thanks for all the positive thoughts and good luck wishes! Well it's a big fat negative on the ClearBlue non-digital pee sticks for me this morning . Still at least I now know for certain. However, I now need to solve the mystery of the disappearing AF.....3 days late now which is pretty much unheard of for me. DH in the meantime is rubbing his hands in glee at the thought of another marathon s**g session in roughly 2 weeks time .

Hope there is more luck for everyone else....

Angel - welcome to the board! Goodluck TTC. I know the OPKs are expensive but they worked for us last time on only the first attempt. Used the Clearblue ones.

Frizbe · 22/04/2005 10:17

Hi angelp, hope all goes well for you this month then! I'm currently waiting for af to turn up, 3 days late so far, will test again on Monday girls, as don't want to waste my money until def sure it's not going to appear! (having done one test bang on day 28 that was neg!) It appears handbag is in the same boat as me, ho hum, a long weekend for us both!
Hope eveyone else has a fab one.
Debsy don't despair, I know dh has been a git, but you have done the deed, so you never know all it takes is one little swimmer....fingers x'd for you.

Worriedbev · 22/04/2005 10:20

Thanks Frizbe
That will make me feel better if I think of it as two months! Wells heres to 2 months ttc then. Oh that does sound so much better than.

Bev

Hulababy · 22/04/2005 22:47

munz · 23/04/2005 08:20

sorry didn't post yesterday, I'm feeling soo rotton at the minute, weds felt really sick every time I crunched up into a ball, thursday was not too bad, (apart from the bloody dr!) according to DH I had tears in my eyes after the internat - bitxh that she was! lol. yesterday I felt sick all day again, (I'd drunk one (yes one) glass of lambrini the night b4 on thursday) it went straight to my head and I ended up chucking everyone out cos I was knackered to cap it off. most unlike me I normally have at least 2! still we did manage to BD and there was no spillage! that has to be good surely? I told DH we haven't done it this month and his reply was how do u know? have you had ur period yet? bless him he's being really sweet about it all.

hiya angel as well hope u're not here for too long.

JM - share the dust girl! come on don't keep it all, am def gonna be PG by our ang appt. not looking forward to the lap and dye thing thou.

is it ok if i join back in girls??? Im not ttcing just yet but im getting myself back together slowley. Have ordered some sands bands for support.

Would love to know how everyone is getting on, any one nearing to testing or are you all at start of cycles again?

Hope you are all well and still staying posotive. xxxxxx

Hulababy · 23/04/2005 09:11

Hi CP3; how are you doing?

Catch up: Handbag and Frizbe are both late with AF (both 4 days late I think), but first tests showing -ve; more testing to come.

Both me and Munz are mid way and on the 2WW.

Think others are at start.

I have seen about the SANDS bracelets; must sort myself out with it.
