Ov'd Tuesday 25th. I used a ebay cheapie and then a Clearblue OV digi stick just to make sure - so - it's offical, I'm on the 2ww. We BD cd11 cd13 cd15 cd16 cd17.

I'm feeling strangley optimistic this month, even though we've been trying for 5 years

You should join us on the "aiming for an August baby" thread. A fab bunch of ladies and there are a few of us who'll be testing around the same time as you....

xserialshopper · 30/11/2008 14:27

Thanks Rip I wondered where everyone was

OP posts:
xserialshopper · 30/11/2008 18:10

Well - as I'm by myself I might as well fill this thread up

I wonder if I can get to 1000 posts

Feeling a bit crampy which is normally a af sign which could mean she wants to visit me on Saturday. That would be cd26. I vary between cd26-cd28. I'm still feeling optimistic though

Couldn't make my mind up wether to join the 'august baby' or the 'sept baby' thread

I'll join you xserialshopper - I'm due on 9th too - 15th month of ttc and actually have hospital appointment of Wednesday to have bloods, hormone levels etc checked. Fingers crossed for you x

FertilityFiend · 01/12/2008 00:41

Found you xserial

Strictly speaking I don't quite qualify for the thread as I'm due on 8th, but who knows what frigging Mother Nature has up her sleeve re luteal phase so let's not pay too much attention to the numbers... Not really feeling hopeful for this cycle, not sure why but missed bd'ing on the actual ov day (that's the 5th one in a row that we've missed, v peculiar). Did manage the two days leading up to it though, so theoretically in with a chance.

I usually get cramps at 3 dpo, does everyone else? What does it mean???

MintChocAddict · 01/12/2008 00:52

I don't qualify either as I'm due around the 14th but just wanted to wish you luck for this month.
Been on the May and June threads but have missed August one and is now very, very long!! Have been lurking this month as haven't had the chance to keep up.

Loads of luck to everyone on the 2WW!

xserialshopper · 01/12/2008 11:54

I've got company Yay!

I think that it has only been the last few months when I've started to take more notice of my body!!! FF I had some cramping at the same time as well ((but I'm secretly hoping that mine was to do with implantation)) I am an optimistic bunny I definately think your in with a chance as the sperm lives 'up there' for a good number of hours. I actually missed the day before the line on my OV stick - cos I couldn't be arsed but if I had know it was the day before I would have made the effort.

Stick with us MintChocAddict (are you made of chocolate? Can I eat you?) We'll stay with you until the bitter or sweet end

Hi Alibobster. Ooooh a cycle buddie Never had one of them before How long is a normal cycle for you? All the best for wednesday. I had my right tube unblocked in august under a general - that's why I'm so optimistic. I had all the bloods done earlier this year and they came back normal/ok.

Ali and mint are you ttc for your 1st?

I'm shamelessly sympton spotting I woke up in the wee hours of this morning with a headache - is that a sign?

Sn0wflake · 01/12/2008 13:41

Hello Xserialshopper I am due on the 9th of December! I have a cycle of 27/28 days at the moment. We managed to bd on days 5, 8, 12, 14, 19. I was using opk's (clearblue) but never caught my surge and never had any other of the signs of ovulation. I have to say that I really don't expect it to happen this month. I'm fine with that as I've just started out on the TTC journey.

So anyway I feel no different than usual.

How are you doing?

xserialshopper · 01/12/2008 19:30

Hi snowflake

I had to take 2 ibruprofen today (not at the same time) as the headache wouldn't go away. Other than that I'm fine - no symptons - nada I'm going to take 'no symptons' as a sign as well I definatley wont test until the 9th or 10th though.

Is this your first attempt at ttc?

I use the ebay opk cheapies from about day 12 then, if I get a surge line, I use 1 clearblue opk just to make sure That way my cb pack of 7 digial opks will (technically) last 7 months

Hows everyone else doing today? Any symptons?

OP posts:
MintChocAddict · 02/12/2008 00:15

Hi xserialshopper
Fortunately I'm not made of chocolate as there'd be nowt left of me!!

TTC no#2 for me. I have longish and slightly bizarre cycles so never really 100% sure where I am, but seem to have evened out about 35ish days over the last few months.
I've been using OPK this month although don't think they work for me. I seem to have surged about 3 times in the last 8 days Tried them with DC1 and felt as though they gave me some odd results. Also using EPO, drinking gallons of grapefruit juice and when I remember take some cough medicine.
I've become a bit of a mad symptom spotter too. Was out shopping today and seemed to be incredibly static. Evertyhing I tried on was sticking to me. In one changing room big bits of my hair were actually standing on end. The people in the next changing room must have thought I was completely mad as I giggled away to myself. It was hilarious . Wonder if this could be a very early sign??

Sn0wflake · 02/12/2008 11:49

Hey Xserial. Yeah this is my first attempt and my first cycle. If I don't make it this month and I seriously don't think it is my month at the moment (won't I have to eat my hat if I do get a bfp?) I may order some cheapie ovulation strips from internet. Having said that I wonder if I should forget about all that and just have sex every two days or so and see what happens.

Anyway so simptoms (well my boobs are sensitive but I had that last month and no cigar) and I just feel totally normal.

I don't think I'll test unless my period is late you know. Well that was my plan?but we shall see how I feel.

I'm 34 in December.

xserialshopper · 02/12/2008 13:34

Mint giggling away to one's self in a changing room is definately a very early sign ............................................................... of madness

Snowflake I wish I had started ttc at 34, instead started at 35 and had my ds at 36.

I orginally wanted 4 kids but will now just be happy with 3

Still a bit headachy today plus slightly tired (didn't want to get out of bed this morning - almost kept ds home from school I was that tired). Definately a sign.

OP posts:
FertilityFiend · 02/12/2008 15:56

Hi all! Lol at the symptom spotting madness (glad I'm not alone).

I'm especially liking the 'static in the shop' symptom Mintchoc

Xserial - oh yes, headache and tiredness are deffo signs

I've had a fair bit of low level cramping since ov, though this is not unusual for me. Yesterday was like a dull ache where I imagine my right ovary to be No other symptoms though, apart from a nice big zit on my chin a couple of days ago. Temps are boringly lowish and flattish at the mo, usually they are more zig-zaggy (is that a sign...)

Good luck to us all

Sn0wflake · 02/12/2008 16:01

I think the zit is a very good sign!

Alibobster · 02/12/2008 22:04

Hi Xserialshopper, this is me ttc #2, I'm blessed with a ds who's 2 1/2.I had an early miscarriage in March and then a chemical pg in October and since then my cycle has been all over the place ranging from 26-35 days Thanks for your best wishes for tomorrow. I'm trying not to symptom spot but sore far I've had headache, backache and very sore boobs. Hello to all you other ladies and fingers crossed for this month x

MintChocAddict · 03/12/2008 00:28

Hi All,

Symptom update today - no longer static but now have the most horrendous blocked nose. Came out of nowhere!!
Now thinking that static attack may have been as a result of all the cheapo clothes that I was trying on . I was positively crackling.

Now madly searching for zits and feeling at boobs - so to speak

Good luck for the next few days to all you ladies.

xserialshopper · 03/12/2008 14:31

FF zits are definatley a sign I could do without

I know what you meant mint - I've been waiting for my boobs to get sore Come on boobs

Alibobster how did your apt go? Sorry to hear about your mc and cp. Are you taking any supplements to sort your cyle out?

snow my birthday is this month as well!!

Sign! I actually felt a bit nauceous (sp?) today - this has just got to definatley be a sign (((thought I tiny weeny suspect it's more to do with my imagination))

Oh well only 5, 6 and 11 days to good for the big reveal

OP posts:
Alibobster · 04/12/2008 15:03

Hi xserialshopper, appt went fine thanks. Had an internal scan(lovely!) and took lots of bloods to test different things. Dr said that because I was getting pg but just not maintaining the pregnancy, that may be where the problem lies rather than an infertility issue. I won't get blood results for 8-10 weeks but at least I've got the ball rolling so I feel a bit better, and everyone that I dealt with yesterday ie doctor, midwife were all really nice and positive which was encouraging. I did get a bit excited last night cause I had a bit of pinky/brown discharge/cm, which I've only ever had when pg with ds although dh thinks it's probably just a bit of bleeding after internal. How are you today? hope your boobs get sore soon

FertilityFiend · 04/12/2008 16:15

Hi All

Snowflake - I'd second the ebay cheapy opk's, I have to use about 2 or 3 a day around ov time in order to get a 'positive' as it seems to be over so quickly. Also I think the results depend on things like how concentrated your wee is at any given time. I find that I still get an increase in the 'strength' of the line around ov time (even if it's not a proper positive) - means you can test more often till you (hopefully) get the positive.

I got mine from here - ordered 75 opks and 25 pg tests in my batch, but then I'm a pee-on-a-stick addict
ebay sticks

Alibobster - good that your appt went well, though that seems a long wait for results, how annoying for you.

Mintchoc - good that the static's gone (I guess!) - the blocked nose sounds good though

Xserial - how's the nausea? I get this too sometimes in the mornings during the 2WW - is soooooo annoying that progesterone 'symptoms' are the same as pg symptoms, grrr

Talking of which, I had period pains this morning, which is usually a sign that AF will start within 2/3 days (sigh). But of course, there's always Day 8 implantation pains to come up with as a theory as well... Temp went up today, but only to exactly the same as it was this time last month. AF is due Monday, but if I have a 9 day luteal phase again this month, it will be Saturday. Oh well, hopefully AF will stay away at least Sat as that is when the sticks come out...

FertilityFiend · 05/12/2008 14:24

How's everyone today? Any more symptoms?!!!

I think I'm almost certainly out for this month, having quite a lot of AF cramping this afternoon, and temp was down this morning.

Hope everyone else is having better luck!

xserialshopper · 05/12/2008 14:59

The thing is everyone is that I've got no symptons either way today

FF its a bugger about your temp dropping still, it's not over until the fat lady (not me) sings

Ali that's a long wait for results!! Can't you get them any sooner?

Pinky/brown discharge/cm so this is a sign? You truly are beating us on the 'signs' front

(waves to mint and snow)

OP posts:
Sn0wflake · 06/12/2008 09:47

Not long to go now.....is staying in bed too long on a Saturday morning a sign?!

FertilityFiend · 06/12/2008 10:39

ooh NO symptoms is definitely a sign xserial

And so is tiredness Snowflake - make sure to put your feet up for the rest of the day too, just in case!

Well today The Zit Has Returned... AF has not shown her face yet but she's hiding round the corner I'm sure. Temp v slightly higher than yesterday, but chart looks absolutely comparable with those of recent months. Oh and BFN of course - but then it's ridiculously far early to test...

xserialshopper · 06/12/2008 15:00

FF it's way toooooooo early to test (gives wrist a little tap) But, saying that, on Friday morning I was laying in bed, and I had these naughty thoughts, such as 'I could do a test this morning,' 'I might as well use one of the cb preggi test since I've got 5' plus 'I could use my last ebay cheapie preggi test since it's the last one.'

Well, I resisted all those naughty thoughts and the strongest feelings of temptation I've ever had (I actually picked up the unopened cb box with 3 preggi sticks) and I DID NOT TEST snow I had that sign. I didn't get up until 10am this morning
