Hi Littlemiss

No Af yet, so not over until the fat lady sings lol

It is hard sometimes when all around you see to be having babies, my brother and girl friend are expecting and dont even seem that interested, said they hope they dont get boisterous boys like mine grrrr and if it will sit in a chair all day, grrrr grrrr

Anyway Im rambling now, Littlemiss, just remind me how long have you been trying for?
Have you read a book called Getting Preganant (I think) by Dr Winston (him of the telly) very good and gives good advice on opk.

1LittlePrincess · 10/09/2008 18:36

Hi All, Hope everyone is well

Girls I know what you mean! It seems like everyone is pregnant around me. Two of my bestfriends are pregnant one is due in March and the other beg May, and they both keep going on about how great it would be if we all had babies around same time again, as there are only a few months between our first DC. I keep smiling and going yes would be quite nice, when really I want to scream "I HAVE BEEN TRYING, BUT ITS NOT WORKING!!!!"

Still no signs of Ov yet CD 13, No CM, no Ov pains, so looks like im joinging a few others for a long cycle although its not all bad as it means that DP going away over the weekend and missing important BD'ing sessions, isnt so bad!

BIG HELLO to alfiemama and dinkyboysmum

alfiemama, hopefully you will get your BFP soon. So fingers crossed x

dinkyboysmum, hope this is your lucky cycle

x

littlemissmischief · 10/09/2008 19:33

Alfiemama - been trying bout 6 months, not too long i spose but seems it! Seeing as I got pg 3 weeks after getting with my dp (by accident, but a great accident we thought it would be sooo easy! Will look into that book I think, Still hoping the witch doesnt come to you!

1Littleprincess - HaHa you are me! I dont mean to laugh at your pain but I sit there screaming that in my head too so now exactly how you feel! Welcome to the long wait with me hun

dinkyboysmum · 10/09/2008 20:08

littlemissmichief yes, i'd worked out that one too...a christmas announcement would be great wouldnt it!
i'm in same boat, already have ds1, so kinda thought getting pg would happen quite quickly again wrong! i know it'll be worth that wait, and remind myself that it's already happened once, so it shoudl be OK again, just need to get to grips with the opk thing to maximise chances (this is first cycle with opks).

littlemissmischief · 10/09/2008 20:36

Ohh dinkyboysmum me too, im getting a bit dispondant to be honest not even had a faint line so far and already on cd18 so either a mega long cycle or they are not working for me, have heard a few people say they never got a positve the whole time they used them. Hopefully will get a positive soon x

alfiemama · 10/09/2008 21:34

Hi everyone, (waving madly)

Still no af, really nearly told hubby before and to get a test, but I didn't. Really don't want to get his hopes up.

Im on day 40 now and no sign at all, its so hard to not start dreaming of Xmas and the big announcement and names etc.

Littlemiss the book is great I used the opks years ago so technology may have moved on a little, not sure, but I got a bit disheartened with them, don't think I really knew what I was doing

anyhoo come on girls we can do it (that's me trying to be as positive as I can)

alfiemama · 10/09/2008 21:40

ps

If I was to do a test tommorow, would it work if I collect a sample in the morning and then leave it until I get a preg test, sorry if this is a really daft question but will be ok if left for a while feel really thick now,

AbstractMouse · 10/09/2008 22:56

Hi all can I join CD20 I think today? First cycle after a miscarriage and I think I have ovulated late this month. Usually Ov around CD13/14 , had ewcm for a couple of days adn ov pains today, although only dtd early (4am) sunday morning so not holding out much hope for this cycle but possible I suppose and with dtd so early may be a girl if by some miracle I do concieve.

AbstractMouse · 10/09/2008 22:58

Btw think it would be fine Alfiemama, I'm sure I read that the hcg only begins to break down after 24 hours. Worth a go anyway.

1LittlePrincess · 10/09/2008 23:28

Ow, hadnt thought about Xmas announcements Exciting Stuff! Picturing a copy of scan pic inside selected Xmas cards........OK,OK im getting way ahead of myself LOL, havnt even Ov'd yet

Alfiemama Taking a EMU sample and leaving it until you have a test should be fine if it in a sealed container. Have my fingers crossed for you

Welcome AbstractMouse sorry to hear of your loss . I had a m/c in April and my cycles have been abit all over the place since. Hopefully you managed to catch the egg this cycle

x

alfiemama · 11/09/2008 09:43

MamaMimi · 12/09/2008 18:46

thanks 1littleprincess for updating me (along with everyone else)on the list.

I haven't been around for a bit, just been quite busy/tired. Hope everyone is doing okay and sticking to the mission. I will pop back when I have had chance to catch up on the thread and on what's happened since I was here last.

JLo2 · 12/09/2008 20:04

I think fate has had a hand in my month. My husband was supposed to go to France (for work)yesterday for a week just when I'm ovulating BUT he got stuck at Ashford on Eurostar due to the Channel Tunnel fire and then on the M20 trying to get a ferry and eventually gave up and came home (8 hours later) This means that he has had to postpone the trip and will be home until Monday at least
Is that fate or what???

dinkyboysmum · 12/09/2008 20:22

woohoo...it's the weekend!!!

i'm cd6 and have my first reflexology session tomorrow

MrsMcJnr · 13/09/2008 00:08

That?s odd Yellowflowers eating oats and taking evening primrose oil in the first part of your cycle is meant to help too!

Hello Jools1 hang in there!

Alfiemama ? good luck when you decide to hon!

Waitingtoexhale ? we had some almighty storms after my rain comments but I kind of like them we are in Malaga province.

Twoplease ? friends I know swear by legs in the air after BDing to increase your chances!!

Well my software says today is CD522! I?ve been having really sore cramps and tenderness plus nausea etc so did a test, it was BFN but OPK was positive but I really don?t feel in the mood with these cramps?.

MintChocAddict · 13/09/2008 01:00

Hi All,

Just checking in to say hi. AF has finally left the building for this month so let the fun n games begin!
Lots of positive thoughts and vibes for everyone. Here's to BFP's all round

twoplease · 13/09/2008 08:10

Hi all,

been a bit absent as hubby and i are self-employed and it has been a v busy week!

Thanks for all the hints and tips, am gonna need them as (and sorry to drag the board down after Mints positive vibe) AF got me this morning on CDbloody23!!

am now starting to worry that with such short cycles, there's not enough time after ovulation to implant - need to research!!

as i have such short cycles, am still on for a June one so will come back when I'm not so darn cross!!

wishing better luck on everyone else!!

littlemissmischief · 13/09/2008 09:18

Morning all, just off to work but thought id say hi since you were all back, Ive been very lonely the last couple of days!

JLo2 - that is defo fate make the most of him before Monday

Dinkyboysmum - Good luck with the reflexology - sounds great!

MrsMcJnr - sorry you got a BFN hun, It does seem strange? I hope the old red witch doesnt arrive!

Mintchocaddict - Glad you can start the fun bit now, fingers crossed for you this month!!

Twoplease - so sorry AF got you today, the plus side of having shorter cycles is that you get more chances and you dont have such a long agonising wait, but might be worth looking into the ovulation side, good luck!

Well im on CD21 and as I said earlier in the thread, I got a faint line on the OV sticks yesterday and the day before im hoping this is leading to a positive but me and dp having been doing lots of BDing just incase anyway Im feeling positive this month for us girlies x

LovelyMonster · 13/09/2008 15:53

Hi everyone!!!

Well I am back from my holiday and had a fantastic time! Lovely and hot and sunny!

CD30 today! Have taken a couple of tests while away but BFN (cheap test?). Just a bit strange though cause I'm never ever late. My shortest cycle is 22 days and longest 28. Not sure if the holiday has put me out of sync or what? Wondering if I should test with the good CB test? Advice please! Im starting to feel nervous....
