hello... can anyone shed any light? i have pco and have been ttc for 5 years. i am in my first cycle of clomid (day 14) and had a scan today. They said i have 3 big folicles on one ov and one big one on the other....so triplets would be likely! i dont understand fully tho....i thought i ovulated 2 days ago (day 12)...clear, stretchy stuff in pants and pain in ov but the scan showed the folicles so i couldnt have ovulated yet, which is really disappointing as my hubby is away now so no more getting busy! we got busy from day 11, 12 and 13 but am now thinking i may not ovulate as today is 9 days after taking clomid....oh how confusing...i'm giving myself a head ache....oh no...thats clomid!!! anyone have a suggestions for me?! ps have had an ache on the left ov since day 12.....

Hi Dolly99 and confu3ed, just did a p test and it was negative not that im suprised! I know it was a bit early to test as im not really due on until the 23rd but i used an ultra sensitive test. At the point now that when i get the negative result its just water off a ducks back. If it is ever positive i think i will faint!

What i struggle with the most is, its hard enough it not happening and not have any control over it but when your body starts playing tricks on you it really bugs me that your body can do that to you!

Looks like Clomid it is then, role on my period!!!

confu3ed - i find it good to talk on here to people who understand, it really helps, as your right noone understands and as millymolly83 rightly says its harder when everyone around you has babies or is pregnant! my sis told me she is excpecting, after the excitement i cried, not thourugh resent for my own sister, but as i thought 'why not me?!' - she was only trying one month too and then got pregnant!

roastie try be positive! its no good for yor body getting stressed so much! clomid is bot as bad as you think - and it gets things on track! which is great! i take a test a week on sat to see if i am pregnant.... eeeeekkk!

Hi,

I just had an ultrasound on CD 11 after 50mg of Clomiphene. I discovered I had PCOS. At CD 11 I have a follicle of 8mm on one and 10mm on the other. Any chance that the 10mm might mature? I should ovulate on Day 17 if I do. Just wondering if anyone has any good news stories about Clomid and PCOS.

Thanks

Evening ladies,

Been lurking and have decided to post as off to fertility doc on Tuesday to be jump started on Clomid.

Came off the pill in March and haven't had a period since my withdrawal bleed. Blood tests normal. Weight, body hair etc, normal but scan showed I have PCO.

Fingers crossed. Interesting hearing the experiences on here. Just desperate to get started productively!

Hi ladies, sooo pleased I've found this thread! I'm currently on month 3 of Clomid ttc no. 2 with no success so far so it's great to find like minded ladies- fingers crossed for all of us.

I'm currently taking 50mg and my GP said it's my choice whether I want to up the dose next month to 75mg I've only had one blood test since starting Clomid which showed my progesterone had gone from 2 to 16 (on day 23 of a 31 day cycle so I may have missed my peak level). GP says I must therefore be ovulating.

Has anyone else been left to make that decision on their own? I'm scared of taking 50mg for the full 6 months with no monitoring and not make the most of our chances, so would really appreciate any advice or experience. Thanks.

Congratulations on your twins millymolly83. I can't to see if I'm pregnant. I took my first 100mg of clomid on July 21st @ 9 AM. I'm due to start my period on the 8th.... I look forward 2 taking my pg test on Aug 5th. I pray clomis worked for me the 1st time... Because my body is playing some cruel tricks on me if I'm not pg. (confused)

hi all
This is the first time I have posted a message on any chat page but reading everyone's messages is so comforting. You know you are not alone. Don't know fancy abreviations yet so soz.
I have 1 child. Conceived after 6 months. Have been ttc a second child for 2 years but nothing. Have had NHS checks and all fine except when ovaries scanned there were few follicles. Had AMH test done and results were 17 so according to fertility hospital I am within the 'low ovarian fertility potential' range. This is apparently normal for my age. I am 39.
I wanted to try Clomid but hospital not very keen for me to do this as already ovulating so concultant said not much point. Need to have yet another immunisation injection for Rubella as despite vaccination last year I am still not immune. So frustrating as now have to wait until after xmas to try any treatments. Going to go for IUI i think. Wish IUI was more successful. Don't know why I can't get preggars and feeling really desperate, especially when i see my friends with their second babies. I should be grateful I have 1 child and believe me I am but can't help the same desire for a baby i had befor 1st.

Hi ladies, I'm new to this forum. I started my first round of chlomid this month days 2-6. I'm currently cd 14 and have tummy pains and a headache. Could this be ovulation. I also had accupuncture today and my therapist said I had a low blood pressure (as I've been feeling dizzy when I stand up) does anyone know if this is one of the ( oh so many) wonderful side effects of chlomid? Me and my partner have been trying for a year in march after tragically losing our baby at 20 weeks. I also have pcos (smallest form) which has only just been noticed. Can anyone give me answers to the above? X

I have had clomid on three occasions and suffered with side effects each time. I have started clomid yesterday after 4 years (I have been trying on and off for 9 years!!) and spent the whole night with blurry vision and throwing up!! I am hoping that this time clomid will be successful and thought I could meet some great people on here in the same situation as me. Lotsofbabiesplease how did the acupuncture go?? I am thinking of going down that route to help alongside the clomid but was unsure as to go for acupuncture or reflexology as I have heard they are both good.

FriendofDorothy · 05/06/2012 15:24

I was told that if I got blurry vision when I started taking Clomid I should stop it immediately as it was one of the very severe side-effects.

Hi I have started a 6 month course of clomid 50mg days 2 - 6. I have had blurry vision, mood swings, tears, paranoia and even the headaches! I will stick with it and with the support of my husband get through it with hopefully success at the end of it or sooner! I'm am 42 and we have a 6 year old little boy. We would love a brother or sister for him. We had a miscarriage at 8.5 weeks back in Oct 2010 and have been trying ever since. I've tried Fertilaid and Zita West Vitafem but still no pregnancy. Specialist said all is normal with us both ie. tubes clear, bloods normal, sperm count normal so giving clomid a go now. Would love to hear your stories...
