He has made a couple of hints over the last few days that it wasn't exactly what he wanted... so after i saw the pinkish spotting i just said to him (in a bit of a mood i admit because of AF) ''The way you've been going on maybe its a good thing if i dont ever get pregnant''.... he replied with ''well I only agreed because you want it so badly''...... So then I got upset thinking its wrong of him to allow me to bring a baby into our family when he never wanted it in the first place.

Though on the other hand he has a valid point as later on he said to me that he knows that if we get pregnant he will accept it and will love the baby when it arrives.... He never wanted to have the other 2 when we did, we'd be starting to try for DC1 according to our ''plan'' from when we got together!! And he is a fab daddy to the kids, and has been there all the way..... so maybe it isn't all bad, if that makes sense at all!!!

SesQal · 10/08/2008 21:00

That does ring true with what some of my friends have said....
We tend to get added broodiness from our hormones and the men tend to be what seems indifferent in comparison sometimes (often after the first). Sorry bit of a generalisation I know. All my friends that have commented like this also say that DH are now besotted and wouldn't be without so sounds a little similar.

glaskham · 10/08/2008 21:02

Yeah DH was gutted to the bone when he found out we were pg with both DC's but now he's so in love with them and always says he'd never change a thing!!

GYo · 10/08/2008 21:03

hi glask,

Sorry to hear about the spotting. Fingers crossed its not AF enroute.

Thinking of you..

2beautifulgirls · 11/08/2008 07:46

Morning everyone,

Sorry about spotting Glask, hope its not AF. My DH probably feels exactly like yours and doing it because i want another not him. He has made some comments over the past few months.

We are off camping in a few hours until Friday. AF due on Friday so if no appearence i will test Saturday. Feeling a little crampy and sore throat today

Have a good week everyone
Think of me in the wind and rain

SesQal · 11/08/2008 07:48

Morning 2BG!
Fingers crossed AF stays away for you
Hope the wind and rain stays away too!
Whereabouts are you going?

Morning everyone else

Diege · 11/08/2008 08:09

Morning everyone Hi SesQual, 2BG - hope the weather stays good for your trip - brrrr!!!! .
At home this week with dds, which will be fun but pretty full on! They are still in holiday mood and expecting treats and exciting activities every minute of the day .
Have now lost 9ibs on healthy eating plan, and am starting to feel quite energised. have sussed out the secret to weight loss now...the house is full of wholefoods, organic everything, nuts, seeds, pulses etc...and I just don't fancy nibbling on anything . Long may it last- still a stone to go before ideal weight .
Hope everyone is well - will be crossing everything for you Glaskham!

SesQal · 11/08/2008 08:13

Hi Diege 9lbs!!!!! V impressive! I'm going to try and stick with the cycling I started yesterday so hoping I get home from work today on the early side so I can fit another couple of miles in!
That reminds me - I really should go to work!!

Diege · 11/08/2008 08:35

Very impressed by your cycling SES! My dh is a massive cycle fan, and has just set off for work on his on a 25 mile round trip. I would love to get out on mine too, which is hangling forlornly in garage, but just can't seem to get motivated!
Best go, organic porridge is boiling over.

GYo · 11/08/2008 08:45

Morning all

Very impressed with all this talk of exercise and healthy eating.

Porridge sounds great Diege - please send some over

Morning everyone else

tinkispregnantwithpickle · 11/08/2008 08:53

very good diege go girl
hi gyo waves

looks so dark again and i am brrrr

anyone heard from sorky or kay they havent been in here for ages hope they are both ok

glaskham · 11/08/2008 09:12

Morning all- no more spotting since last night.... and it was the tiniest amount of pink discharge, not actually blood so i'm feeling a little hopeful today... have saved FMU and now waiting for the postman (usually comes at 2/3pm though )

Diege- your healthy eating is sounding good- wish i could shed that amount of weight so fast!!

tink- hope you have a nice day, think we'll be doing something as its fairly nice here today.

2BG- hope you have a nice time and the weather is nice for you!!

tinkispregnantwithpickle · 11/08/2008 09:16

sounding good glas good luck for testing.
i had a tiny bit of browny/pink discharge once when i wiped 9dpo-11dpo (was implantation)

Diege · 11/08/2008 09:19

Oooh good luck Glaskham!! Sounding very positive, esp as if it was af surely it would have started this morning?
You're welcome to my porridge GYO . Ok when I'd mixed in sufficient amounts of jam(albeit sugar-free 'super jam' but now I am starving again! Surely that's not right???!!
Have a nice time in playcentre Tinks! Sun is shining here, but blak clouds loom

Think weight loss is more down to my body type, as I'm 'naturally' an 7.5/8 stone weakling so I think my body was just waiting for the opportunity to load off the weight! It had creeped up to 10 stone something which is way too big for my frame and height (I'm a titch).
Right, best get dressed and respond to wining dds!

glaskham · 11/08/2008 09:20

ooh that sounds positive tink.... the weird thing is i feel pg if that makes sense?? I'm be crushed if i wasn't this month... and DH and I talked and all is fine. He didn't mean it to sound so bad last night, he's happy to have a 3rd child and knows he'll love it as much as the other 2 once it arrives... but he's just too fixed on money and practicalities of another, but he knows it'll all slot into place once any possible baby arrived!!!

glaskham · 11/08/2008 09:28

will be back later once i've tested!! have a nice day everyone!!

Heebeejeebee · 11/08/2008 09:51

Hi all

I haven't posted much as i got fed up with this ttc lark. My hospital appointment at the end of the month can't come soon enough! Either way, peak today on monitor and have been gofing like mad, so am back full of optimism for yet another month!

Congrats on the bfps I've missed and fingers crossed for you glask!

GYo · 11/08/2008 09:52

good luck Glask!!!

calsworld · 11/08/2008 10:31

HBJB, welcome back to the thread, the break away does everyone good every now and then I think! Here's hoping that along with the looming hospital appt, fate lands the right way for you this month!

Glaskham, I hope things work out soon for you but hope you can find time to relax too, you sound a little stressed about it all, I know what its like, I've been there too but try and make sure TTC is still fun !

I'm really glad you got things sorted with your DH, they do say the silliest things sometimes - I think its their way of dealing with the disappointment though, putting on a macho front.

Diege, good to see you back on the thread, am very of your 9 pound loss! Am not feeling so of your organic porridge though

glaskham · 11/08/2008 10:56

Anyone know a simple recipe for a coffee sponge cake?? I don't like coffee but I'm fancying a coffee cake with coffee cream on top!! I think I could just replace the water in the sponge mix and butter-cream mix with expresso coffee instead.... anyone tried it???

postman still hasn't been- I'm off to the shops for some little bits for my cake and wonder wether i'll be able to resist the pharmacy!!!

tinkispregnantwithpickle · 11/08/2008 11:43

i was same as you fely pregnant and was right 18 wks thurs already

hi hbjb hope hospital appointment comes around quickly for you
hi cal

GYo · 11/08/2008 12:41

All this talk of cake is making me very peckish. Really fancy a nice thick slice of choc cake with coffee icing. Even though i know it will make me feel a bit sick!

Yummy

Very quiet on here today....

calsworld · 11/08/2008 13:05

MMMMMMMMMMMMM CAKE!

Glask, I think you just have to dissolve some coffee in hot water then add to the sponge mix and butter cream! Send me some over when you're done? Have you tried looking on the recipes board? They have all sorts of lovely recipes over there...

Hi Tink, can't believe your 18 weeks already!

Did I post that I had an email from Kay to say she's fine, just still having traumas with internet access? She's had her 20 week scan and knows what she's having........but I've promised not to tell, she's going to post when she can!!!

Haven't heard from Sorky for ages though...

calsworld · 11/08/2008 13:13

Afternoon all,

Welcome back Deige. Glad you had a good holiday. You are sounding very positive and healthy.

Not gonna be posting much as feeling pretty damn ropey and trying to actually do some work whilst at the same time sit and my desk and not throw up . Lovely. 10 weeks now so it must end soon! I am well and truly fed up of it now, bring on the second trimester.

I'll of course still be doing a bit of lurking!
