Lou, glad you and your DH are both well, but can entirely empathize with the wait six months...keep on trying...frustration.

We are in the same boat, and feeling a bit flat about it.

Hopefully something will happen before six months is up... we have three more months before next app. Like you I said I wasn't ready for any intervention...yet.

Lou - how long did you wait to dee the consultant and what tests did they do? I would go for it because of my age but you might feel like waiting another 6 months and perhaps now you know there is nothing wrong with you, you will feel more relaxed (!!) and get lucky? Annoying isn't it, the whole relaxing thing.

Shayerahol, sorry to see you back at the top. Am still waiting for my period and am sure it will come as I have had two BFN's now and my cycle seems to have settled on 28 days.

lou, glad in one sense you're both ok but understand the frustration! Can't remember how old you are - but if you're not pushed for time then I guess no harm in keeping on trying for another 6 months if you're not ready for IVF. I'm not sure what I'd do in your situation, but I think I'd feel the same as you.

Period came! Would update the stats but out soon. So CD 1 for me today and a 27 day cycle which is good.

Hello ladies, well I was waiting for AF so I could join the list properly again, but yesterday I got a BFP just 5 wks after ERPC, feel very lucky, but also petrified, terrified and excited! So fingers crossed this is third time lucky for us

Had "evacuation" yesterday. Not too bad since I knew there was only the lining left. The staff were lovley. Had a wonderful little dream of my DDs when I was under anaesthetic Now looking forward to AF Weird! So we can get started on making a new bean. Will be taking things VERY seriously this time - temping, OP tests and I might even try to make sense of the FF website!

Hi girls! I've not been on here for a few months as I decided to chill out about TTC but I'm sorry to say the total obsession has now returned! lol
I'm now about 9/10dpo and today I've had a few twinges and lots of white discharge, anyone know if this could be a sign of implantation? AF not due till Thursday so think it's too early to be pre-AF discharge. Any thoughts?

Hope this is correct....my temps have just risen, so now the wait begins...

Just got back from holiday. Have received a letter from 'IVF Wales' which is I guess what they call the fertility unit?!?

Anyway - it tells me that, as I am aware, I have been referred to the centre for an initial consultation. It then kindly tells me that according to the criteria set by the health commission for Wales I am not eligible to be considered for assisted reproduction treatment. BRILLIANT! REALLY? YOU DON'T SAY?! Is this their subtle and considerate way of telling me something I am fully aware of anyway?! I suppose the good news is I am one stupid letter closer to my consultation. I am to ring them asap but before 10th October (if I call later they will remove me from their list) to make an appointment.

I know it's 'good' news, at least I know I am about to get an appointment, I just wish this particular letter, phrased in that particular way had not arrived at this particular time. seems as soon as I step off the plane I am to be reminded that not only am I possibly barren, but there may be nothing they can do for me anyway because I am also 'old'.

oh beanieb . I don't understand though why they tell you you are not eligible but still you have an appt - surely that's a good sign? Or are they saying they will see you but if you want to go ahead with IVF you would have to pay?
Anyway try to stay positive, Jan is less than 4 months away which is better than the year you originally thought you'd have to wait. Hopefully you'll be pregnant by then anyway then you can tell them to shove it xx

Yeah - sorry for being down about it. I knew all along that I was too old for IVF unless I pay. I am not sure I would want to go down that route anyway. And yes, with a bit of luck I will get pregnant before then

Hope it is something Blackrock! Fingers crossed.

Weirdly I had a 'high' on my monitor today at only CD6! My period was very light (compared to other months) and lasted only 4 days really so I am a bit confused. If this is my first High and I follow the same pattern as the last few months then I will get my Peak REALLY early!

Thanks Beanie, I had that a couple of months ago. I seem to ov on day fifteen, but had a temp peak on day seven - fertility friend was fooled into thinking I OV'd, but then moved it to day 15 when my temp dropped and rose again. The minute i think I understand some of the science behind all this...it flummoxes me once more.

By the way, thought i would recount a positve story to hopefully boost people's hopefulness a little.

a friend of mine who has always had erratic AF (once a year), managed to get IVF privately (I know costly), but they had been trying for about eight years. She had a baby successfully, and then a year later got pregnant again with no intervention. They now have two healthy children.
