Just popping in to ask if someone can take me off the list please.
Had some spotting on Monday night and saw GP yday. He suggested bed rest but I knew something wasn't right. He refused to refer me for a scan even though I was having a lot of cramps. We decided to go for a scan where a blighted ovum was confirmed.
The pregnancy sac was measuring 7 weeks even though I'm 10 tomorrow and was virtually empty.
Am now waiting for dates for either induced m/c or D&C. Doesn't look like I'll be seen until Tuesday at the earliest.

Why is it that some people can just think 'I think I might try for another baby' and three weeks later they are pregnant?

Just as I thought I was chilling out about all of this someone else gets pregnant 'just like that' and it's made me cry! I don't even know this person and it's got me on my knees!

Maybe I just need a rant to get it out of my system

Have been all excited about the engagement over the last week so not been thinking about the babies thing. so much so that I basically missed my 'peaks' this month anyway so I am not holding out any hope on that front. Thing is, however distracted I am the idea that i am a barren old cow is always there and I really hate it.

I wish I had never even got it into my head that I should start a family. I don't think it's ever going to happen and there are too many reminders out there that I just can't stop. Everyone else seems to have no problems (well that's a lie cos my SIL to be has had for years but doesn't talk about it) and it just makes me feel like crap really.

Beanie I am so with you on the rant! On Friday I interviewed an 18 yr old girl who had a baby of 7 mths, she told me that she asked for the baby to be taken into care as she ?couldn?t be bothered to look after her?! She apparently doesn?t like mornings, she likes to lie in bed all day and not get up until late afternoon. I asked if she had a specific day to visit her little one, she told me no as she can?t be asked!

How I didn?t stab her with my pen I don?t know, I nearly lost it! God I was so pissed off and angry, people like her just don?t deserve children!

Mollie there's no easy way to deal with all this I guess. Sometimes I know my thoughts and feelings are irrational and I hate myself for getting so down in the dumps when I should be happy for other people. I wish this whole baby thing had never become so important to me. If I had a choice between a baby or a wedding I know which I would choose, but I am supposed to think of teh good things in life and stay positive apparently!

There's so much happening or about to happen around me at the moment that i am worried I will have a hard time holding it together.

Beanie I know exactly what you mean and don't beat yourself up about it, I think every woman who has problems with conceiving has these thoughts, at least we're not hanging about the maternity ward doors trying to steal babies Well not yet anyway

It must have arrived some time last week - anyway it was to do with my referral so I called them today and they say the waiting list for further tests is four and a half months so not as bad as the year I was told by the doctor.

beanie, big hugs & sympathy (and Mollie too). It does suck, doesn't it - I had yet another conversation today with someone who thinks that she'll decide to start a family one day, and have a baby nine months later. I resisted the temptation to say anything.

Something about the 6 month barrier's got to me this month - I don't think I expected it to take this long. Which I realise is highly inconsiderate to say in front of some of you, and I'll have more right to talk in another 6 months or so. I had certain landmarks in mind though, and they've caught me totally off guard as they get closer.

BTW sympathy probably wasn't the right word - brain is addled today!

ShayerHol - our time will come I am sure (Yes - I am trying to look on the bright side!). I think hitting my 12th Cycle is what has got me stressed about it all, well that and other stuff going on around me this month which I have issues with an know I will deal with badly. Weirdly a woman in work announced her pregnancy today and I was happy for her, it wasn't an issue because we're not close and I have no idea how long she might have been trying. For all I know it took her months or years. I think I only get screwed up when it's somene who has it happen instantly!

Have tried not to bring my bad mood home but I am still pissed off about having tried so long without success. i really do wish it was as easy as saying 'oh well I will just stop trying then' but it's not is it .

I feel the same way too... and the odd comment about gaps between, don't leave it too long, you'll be wanting to fill up that house, etc, etc.

Everyone and their dog seems to be PG right now or imminently giving birth. TTC has made me very observant about others... Then there are those that having nothing positive to say about their children.

Am becoming and trying to become a bit more relaxed about each month. I suppose BD and not worrying about contraception of any form is the only plus point.

Beanie, it's also full moon, which always makes everyone a little kooky. I have certainly had a kooky day today, so this AF will be an odd one. I am hoping it will blow away the cobwebs for the next cycle.
