Hi GYo, no worries I just thought I'd tell you as I said I would! My friend is due in November so she can tell me all about RS long before I need to start thinking about it no doubt! (but it doesn't hurt to be prepared )

I am ok, feeling a bit pants! I have strange shooting pains in my boobs, and have general feelings of being unwell which then pass. Also keep having cramping all over lower tummy. Trouble is I think my body is still adjusting to coming off the pill so could be that or could be gearing up for af!Nothing that really stands out as pg. boo!

It also doesn't help that am really stressed about dissertation so my poor body is all over the place at the mo!

Hope you're ok!

tinkhasagorgeousbean · 07/07/2008 16:07

Ladies really busy at work at the moment so can not stop and chat but just wanted to let you know I am ok. DP and I had a chat he was really upset about how upset he had made me . I got everything out in the open and he knows that I will not put up with it anymore.

I will catch up properly later when work eases up a bit.

Just wanted you all to know I am ok..

Thanks for that LB, we were all thinking of you. Glad you got things out in the open, hopefully things will get better for you now.

lastboxoftampons · 07/07/2008 17:07

glad to hear things are better LB Take care of yourself!

Has anyone heard from Sorky???

Playingthe9monthwait · 07/07/2008 17:10

LBOT - Haven't seen sorky for a while, she might be on holiday, or of course I could be entirely making that up!

Right ladies, I am off as I have a gps apt tonight. First time in my life I have ever been excited about a doctors apt!

Cosmogirl · 07/07/2008 17:57

Hey,

Gruffalo - sounds like possible preg symptoms to me! Positive thinking positive thinking.

LB - thanks for checking in. Glad things are sorting themselves out. Last thing you need at the moment is extra worry and stress.

Playing - Your work story made me smile. Not surprised you have been distracted - I know I will have my head in the clouds when/if I get a BFP.

NJ - I think Ned is a cool name How come you are so sure it is a boy? Is it mother's intuition?

I am almost certain I am ovulating today. Slippery CM and lots of ov pains. Think might see if DH wants a quick GOF when he gets in from work, but he may well say 'thanks but no thanks'.

First day back at work after hols and it wasn't pleasant. Things can only get better I suppose

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/07/2008 18:05

Evening

Ned, when I first saw it, intial reaction was, then I kind of said it a few times and it became more of a and now I think it's great! So any advance on 2 votes for yes, 1 vote for no? (You can tell the truth, I won't have a paddy!)

Cosmo, am 99.9% sure this is a boy, was 99% sure it would be a boy before I even got pregnant, am now even more sure it is! Have had slightly different pregnancy so far, but since when did old wives tale actually mean anything? I really don't think it is pysically possible for me to have a girl.

LB, am so glad you have popped on, stick to your guns!

GruffaloSoldier · 07/07/2008 18:11

ooh thanks cosmo, I will try stay positive! Funny thing is if I did get BFP then I would be soo happy, but at same time be absolutely s#*t scared as I would know I would have to tell my mother [v.v.scared]

Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy first day back, but I'm sure by the end of the week you will get back to normal.

Diege · 07/07/2008 18:13

Hello! Just a quick one as just back from work and dds have also arrived back. Love the name 'Ned' - it's a real grower .
Catch up later! diege xxx

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/07/2008 18:17

Ooooh 3:1

GruffaloSoldier · 07/07/2008 18:22

Another vote for Ned from me! I think it is cute but then quite manly when grown up iykwim. I will say though that my sis was so sure she was having a boy but when baby was born was a girl- she was so shocked! My niece is the biggest tom boy though!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/07/2008 18:28

4:1 and if my vote is included then that is 5:1, looking good I agree about the cute baby/manly man name, think that is why I like it so much! And it goes nicely with the boy's names. And our surname!

OK next question.... can we have James as a middle name even though he could then possibly become Jamie Oliver (ahem, no clue as to what our surname is there!) And Cal you are excluded from this on grounds of bias-ness (is that a word? ) LOL

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/07/2008 18:33

I must be mad......

GruffaloSoldier · 07/07/2008 18:44

I personally wouldn't let that stop me! What are the chances of you using the middle name as first name? Someone in child's class that I nanny for is Jack Osborne!!

Cosmogirl · 07/07/2008 18:47

Gruffalo - I too am a bit scared about telling my Mum! Even though have been married over three years...tis bonkers. I think I will still feel like I am 15 saying 'mum....I'm..er..pregnant'. Seems so grown up somehow. I hope once she gets used to the idea she will be very pleased though.

Ouch these ov pains are really something today...[Cosmo ponders whether it could be 'conception pain'].... wishful thinking

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/07/2008 18:50

Well we wouldn't use his middle as his first name, but he might..... arghhhh why did I have to marry someone with such a difficult surname?!! Most names are knocked out just on initials (BO, FO, HO, etc....) and then you can find a really nice name, but put it with the surname and it just sounds like gobbledegook, and then some famous twunt comes along and nicks our surname! LOL

Ned James O- has a ring to it?

And after going on about it for ages, it doesn't exactly matter yet! LOL

GruffaloSoldier · 07/07/2008 19:03

Yes Cosmo, same with me!Been together 7.5 yrs and married 2 years in Aug. Feel like I've been waiting forever. Mum is obsessed with me having a career first though!

I am still having pains too!Very annoying.

You never know Cosmo, yours could be conception

NJ - Ned James O is fine! By the time he's old enough to be changing his name Jamie Oliver may be long gone. If you love it, you should do it!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/07/2008 19:10

Sorry Cosmo, x posted and didn't see yours! Pains sound positive (I am lying, I can't knit, and I don't actually own any knitting needles! LOL)

I think telling your mum is always nerve wracking, things weren't great between us when I got pregnant with DS1, but by the time DS2 came along and then telling her about the MC, and again for this one, even though I knew she would be so pleased (not for the MC obviously) it was still a bit scary! LOL I don't know why, maybe it's because it's drilled into us for so many years that babies can wait etc. I suppose it is also rubbing her nose in the fact that you've had sex! LOL

calsworld · 07/07/2008 19:33

My mum knows we want another and I think she has probably guessed that we're trying, we've always talked quite openly about having more than one...she doesn't mention it though and hasn't asked the when? question yet.

I can't wait to tell my mum I'm pregnant again and with my nan being very very poorly I'd love to be able to tell her she's expecting another great-grandchild and I think it would give my grandad a distraction too (he does a lot of primary care for my nan) as does my mum - it would just be some great good news for everyone really!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/07/2008 19:38

Might have to re-think the middle name, just realised he'd have the same 3 initials as me! LOL

Sorry about your Nan Cal Fingers crossed it won't be long before you can tell everyone

kookykid · 07/07/2008 20:05

NJ - I think Ned is a LOVELY name! Maybe you can get away with no middle name? I have same initials as my dad btw and was never a problem!

Star The only way Ive heard is totally effective to get rid of nits is to put conditioner in the hair and comb them out and wipe on something (eg kitchen roll) on each sweep. This should be done every night for about 2 weeks to get rid of them all. What a PITA! Think tea tree is good too. The trouble is you have to treat everyone in the household at the same time.

GYo · 07/07/2008 20:37

Hi Nat

Ned is a great name - I've met two Neds in my life and thought it was great name on both occasions

Ses15 · 07/07/2008 20:58

Hi all!! Nice to see the thread has been nice and active today

I nearly forgot to test this morning and had to stop mid-pee to go and get a test! As a result, I only managed about 3 seconds. I did get the desired BFN but think I will try again tomorrow... The other thing though is that I think I've got my AF! Bleeding and cramps most of the day. I just didn't expect it to be this soon. My immediate thoughts are:
i) is it too soon to get my AF (only 2 weeks after ERPC)? So is it definitely AF?
ii) I never thought I'd be doing smiley faces about BFNs and getting my AF!!
iii) Is this a good sign to start ttc????!

LB - thanks for logging on and reassuring us. It was good to hear from you and hope things continue to improve.

NJ - I had never considered Ned as a name. (Obviously I haven't thought about names at all yet and we certainly don't have any planned! ) Having said that I completely see that Ned can be cute and yet a good respectable "adult name" too. In summary..... It gets my vote!

Star - sounds like things are unsettling at work and changes afoot. I had to tell my team about my job change today and even though it's a change I want, it was still really difficult and I will really miss them.

Hello to everyone else

kookykid · 07/07/2008 21:08

Hi Ses! It's weird saying it, but congrats on AF and your BFN! at you having to stop mid-wee this morning!! Are you going to start ttc after this period or wait til the next one? Am excited for you after everything you've been through.
Sorry, LB, I meant to say earlier - glad you are feeling better about everything. Be strict with your DH though!
Have an Enormungus (another new word for you all!) pile of ironing to get through tonight. [grrr]!
