MisConDuct · 24/06/2008 10:06

Br on ze here
Sorry am hoping that anyone searching on me won't find this one off post telling I am one and the same. Though I wanted to post still for you lot.

Well due 3? days ago and no af am normally petty regular. Two of the cheapy 10mIu tests done this morning both veryfaint/imaginary lines. Really need to go and get myself a decent test before the weeks out. Haven't even told DH my suspicions yet. Hes just given up smoking and I am sooo not rocking the boat at the moment.

Cakes&Choc sorry you're out. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you next time

Piper/Bek still willing it to happen for you.

Now off to freak out a bit more. I know with my heart/broody gland that I would love another baby but I also know the reality and how tough it would to be. Oh my goodness I actually wrote 'is going to be' does that mean that subconciously I think I am.

good luck people

MisConDuct · 24/06/2008 10:09

So Bek and Piper you both due 28th?

bekkaboo · 24/06/2008 19:51

MisConDuct fingers crossed, go grab a CB an let us know

x

Joy27 · 25/06/2008 15:35

Can I join in? Bit shy.

I came off pill six weeks ago, having not had a normal cycle for eight years. In fact since I started taking the mini pill I've only had 4-5 bleeds in last 3 years.
So in short, I am clueless about, well, everything but becoming more fascinated by this magical babymaking business.

Since chucking pill in bin I've had one period (five weeks later) and now some weird bleeding on CD10/11, which I don't know what to make of (started sep thread on this and have had some advice from nice ladies).

This would be (will be!) the first baby for my partner and I. We're both ready after eight years together (first love)- but he'd probably think I was totally insane if he knew I was counting days and interwebbing like this. For him, no doubt, it's just a highly enjoyable game of naked Russian Roulette! The thing is, I didn't mean to get so calculating so early on. I just innocently wandered onto Mumsnet and now I find myself jotting strange codes into my diary and wondering why a month is such a looong time.

Anyway I hope this is the right place to come to for general chat and obsessing- let me know if not and I'll slink off quietly!

bekkaboo · 25/06/2008 19:18

hi jpy welcome to the thread, hope you get some good news! Im out this month cam on today 5 days early which is strange but netherless not happenin this month, will keep reading with intrest for everyone else x

piper84 · 25/06/2008 20:06

Hi Bekkaboo sorry your out for this month , but have fingers crossed for you for next month

Hi Joy27 welcome to the 2ww i'm 11dpo , 2ww is draaaaaaaaaaaaaging by, waiting until sunday to test

MisConDuct · 25/06/2008 20:45

I'm on, 5 days late. Not sure how I feel. May just see what happens. DH can be slack about contraception (he'll only use condoms since I got pg on the pill) and I think I'll just go along with it . He knows the score. Though I still think I'll panic if it ever does happen. Heart /head thing till

Bekka sorry you're out. Fingers crossed for you too next month

Hi Joy and welcome.

Piper still willing it to happen for you.

auntyspan · 26/06/2008 09:14

Morning ladies. Can I join?? AF is due on tuesday (CD28) and did a BFN test this morning - I know it's early but I'm just SO impatient. We're going away for the weekend so I'm not going to be able to test until Monday morning

Have bought a stack of cheapy pg tests from Ebay - should I splash out and get more expensive ones?

cakesandchocolate · 26/06/2008 10:30

Hi auntyspan - welcome - I'd go cheapy initially, esp if you testandtastandtest like me!
Joy - welcome you too - def the place for watching waiting and obsessing!!Good piece of advice tho is not to get too worked up about it all as this can hamper the efforts of the fun nacked roulette thing!
Went to the docs tue about irreg periods, she thinks maybe I am hypothyroid and may not be even ovulating ha ha, (hysterical laugh, that was). So now waitnig for blood trest results. Am half hoping this is true so at least it can be treated and this tiredness will go away.
bad luck bronze and bekaboo.
Piper - how are you, keeping my fingers crossed

OP posts:
cakesandchocolate · 26/06/2008 10:32

ps joy - my DH would also think I am a lunatic for discussing this all on the interweb, you're not alone!!
They're not the ones having to obsess about every little twinge and knicker checking on every visit to the loo...

OP posts:
Joy27 · 26/06/2008 12:25

Am I already going mad....? Or could it be at all possible that I'm already up the duff?

Here's the lowdown:
First cycle after stopping pill
CD1 was 15th June (period stopped CD6)
Rumpy pumpy on CD7 and 8
CD10 bled- like a period for a short time, then spotting on CD11 and tiny bit CD12 (today)
Someone on another thread planted the thought in my head that this could have been implantation! Though this seemed remarkably soon after period. Was assured that sometimes these things happen...

I vowed to self that I wouldn't become Mumzilla so soon after making the decision to try for a baby. But this morning I woke up feeling as though I was hungover (not properly sick just woozy) even though didn't drink anything at all last night polishes halo. And have also managed to persuade self that I have a metallic taste in my mouth- however it's very similar to a cigarette craving (which I still get even though I've smoked no more than a couple a week for ages) so maybe it's just that all this neurotic self-analysis is stressing me out and making me want a fag!

Am I being ridiculous? Is it like million to one that I could be pregnant? And how early can I test (don't even know when period is due as have only had one since coming off pill).

ps Haven't been monitoring CM really as all the practising does tend to confuse things down there does it not?

pps Can't quite believe what I am becoming!

auntyspan · 26/06/2008 13:54

It's not impossible but i think it takes your body a while to get back to normal - ie - ovulate with any regularity - after the pill.
I am waiting to test at the moment and am constantly thinking I have symptoms.... but 90% of me thinks they're all in my head!

Joy27 · 26/06/2008 14:26

Yes aunty I think I'm being a bit hopeful!
To be honest I'm more concerned about why I was randomly bleeding a few days after my period. Might go to docs.

Good luck with your test. Symptoms are confusing things aren't they, as a lot of them are the same as premenstrual symptoms.

nandos · 26/06/2008 19:36

Hi everyone..
i hope you ladies dont mind me joining in ..

i just had a m/c last month and had my 1st AF last week which ended at CD 6.
Had unusual CM(a lot) at CD 7 and so i did an ov test which showed +ve. did another one today at CD9 also showed +ve...so am very confused whether i should be now in the 2wk wait since my ov date is usually around CD 16 (have a 31 day cycle)..
i have also tested on both pregnancy test and ov test(both are -ve)last month just to make sure its not positive i.e. no retained products which can cause tests to be +ve..
Well..thats it really and good luck with those testing for a BFP!

piper84 · 26/06/2008 20:41

Hi Ladies
welcome to Nandos Auntyspan and Joy

I just cracked and did a test 3 days early and light BFP!!!!
trying not to get too excited as had m/c 2 months ago and have had CPs before, still though

nandos · 26/06/2008 20:48

piper84, congratulations!
are you going to celebrate tonight?
am so happy for you

bekkaboo · 26/06/2008 22:45

Cngratulations Piper, really happy for you. Whens your due date?

Ive just counted up and realised I have actually come of 6 days early! What the heck is al that about?!

monkeybumsmum · 26/06/2008 22:58

Hello, please can I join in too - am on CD20, and think I could have ov'd as early as CD9. i had a mc around the same time as Nandos (hello Nandos ), and have been waiting for things to get back to normal too.

Have been feeling a bit sick in the last few days, and today my boobs are ever so slightly sore (though it could be due to all the prodding to see if they are sore ).

Congratulations Piper - hope your luck spreads to us all on this thread!

Joy27 · 27/06/2008 14:44

Congratulations Piper that's brilliant news! Fingers crossed that everything goes perfectly.

Monkey lol at the boob-prodding. Surely they must be genuinely sore, as you'd have to prod long and hard to hurt them yourself!

No boob-prodding here, but I'm a mildly fed up. I've been reading about EWCM but haven't had a hint of anything, let alone EWCM, since I had a weird light bleed/spotting over CDs 11-13.
Probaly my body is just adjusting to not being on the pill (came off it six weeks ago and have had one period), but I'd still merrily starred CD14 and CD15 in my diary as days I'd probably ovulate. It's my first time ttc so I guess I'm rather naive...!
Does no EWCM mean no egg/no chance of conceiving?

monkeybumsmum · 27/06/2008 18:06

Hi Joy, not sure re lack of EWCM. I would think that your body could still ovulate, but maybe just not produce the EWCM. I know some people drink grapefruit juice to try and encourage more EWCM...

Boobs still ever so slightly sore (have now moved on to squeezing them to get a reaction ) and I have lots and lots of saliva . Have been getting slight cramps too, so am convinced AF going to arrive pretty soon though!

How's everyone else feeling?
