Hi! This 2ww is driving me crazy. Can't think of anything else. Have already done 2 tests Yesterday I had so many symptoms but today apart from being incredibly tired nothing. Anyone else?

OP posts:
Jen17 · 22/06/2008 17:38

still nothing..will let you know tomorrow!

emma2617 · 22/06/2008 20:48

Nothing new here ladies...still refraining from re-testing! Hopefully should have an answer for definite tomorrow after seeing the doctor!

How is everyone else going?!

Yarnie · 23/06/2008 08:15

Any new news Jen or Emma?

Hi everyone

emma2617 · 23/06/2008 08:27

Morning Yarnie No news yet, I am at the doctors at 10.20!

But I have just realised that if I am not pregnant we are looking at a 25 day luteal phase so far...which is seriously abnormal!!

I will be back on when I return from the doc!

Ella74 · 24/06/2008 11:15

Emma how did it go at the doctor's?

OP posts:
emma2617 · 24/06/2008 12:27

Well...He's not really my favourite doctor as he is only at the GPs for a year to complete his GP rotation as he is a qualified hospital doctor...and it shows...he can't be bothered listening! He said that I should wait and test again around 3/4 July if AF hasn't shown, but that the symptoms I described could be caused by a number of things and that if I don't feel any different then I should call back on Friday and book in for some blood work (testing for thyroid function, anaemia and other such things!). He has also asked me to come in again in 2 weeks (which I have booked for 8th July) if I am not feeling any better.

So basically to sum up...wait for TWO WEEKS this is going to be a looooooong wait

Ella74 · 24/06/2008 14:32

Oh Emma that's not really heplful of him. He didn't do a blood test to check for pregnancy??? Have you done a test yourself again? Sorry about this. Must be quite annoying.

OP posts:
emma2617 · 24/06/2008 14:40

Yes Ella a tad mnore than annoying!! Nope he didn't do any form of pregnancy test just to wait 2 weeks and do another test my self...I have decided I am going to re-tesr on friday!!

Yarnie · 25/06/2008 08:20

Emma I can't believe he didn't do any form of pregnancy test! What a wally! He may be right that your symptoms might be attributable to something other than pg (hope not, obv.), but why not take blood and rule it out? Seeing as you're, you know, ttc and everything?!!

emma2617 · 25/06/2008 08:38

Thats what I thought Yarnie...what is the point in testing for thyroid etc if he isn't at least going to rule out pregnancy?!

What a twit!

I have just had a woman at work (my closest friend there) tell me that I am not ready to be a mum I went to buy a new car last night as mine was on its last legs and due for tax and MOT which woul dhave cost me a fortune!! I got it on finance at £150 a month (bear in mind that is the only debt I have) and she said how could I go out and do that when I want a baby? And I quote "youre only 21 for gods sake, you've proved youre not ready to be a mum"

Who wants to be driving round in a death trap when your pregnant? Just because she is 30 and still not ready to have a baby, she is judging me the same. I feeli like crying and just want to go home

Yarnie · 25/06/2008 15:21

Emma I'm so sorry - you're surrounded by idiots . Just ignore the silly woman. I expect she's just jealous of your young and probably pg self! I can't think of anything more sensible than buying a decent car to transport your offspring about it, both in terms of safety and economy. Please try and rise above it

emma2617 · 25/06/2008 15:40

Yes I am Yarnie!! I have perked up a bit now though

I am still waiting for AF though! I am currently on CD38! One good thing the doctor did do was prescribe me an anti-emetic (to stop me feeling sick!) so at least I am not running to toilets in work every hour like I am about to vomit!!

Yarnie · 01/07/2008 12:16

I had a big dip in temp today, so I'm pretty sure I am ovulating on schedule. AF expected on 16 July. Anyone else want to endure the 2ww with me?

Emma Hope your nausea has settled down. I saw on another thread that you've finally had bloods taken. Hopefully they'll confirm what we all know suspect

emma2617 · 01/07/2008 12:22

Yarnie I have had bloods take...but...I did a CB Digital this morning...it said "Pregnant" so it looks like I'm just going to need the bloods to confirm!!!!

Mandy73 · 01/07/2008 15:10

EMMA! OMG OMG!! Congratulations! How are you feeling? xx

Yarnie, I want to endure the 2ww with you although we are not strictly even stevens: I'm CD 17 today, AF expected 12 July.

TMI Warning: Have BDed 7 times in 10 days and DH is still up for more, bless him; BD Fest-08; Summer of Love indeed! (possibly counter productive as not enough time for swimmers to re-group but we were kicking ourselves for not being more ambitious for a longer time last cycle)

emma2617 · 01/07/2008 15:33

Mandy 7 times in 10 days?! that is quite impressive!! I am so excited! was trying not to be, but have done another test just now and it is even darer than the one i did last night!! DP is really not biting though...keeps saying "lets wait and see what doctor says" he is so patient !!!

Mandy73 · 01/07/2008 15:39

Emma, don't they say you can get a false negative but never a false positive? (at least at this stage in your cycle?) I can understand your DP not wanting to count the chickens but hey, I'm celebrating with you. Hoorayy!!! Keep us posted! xx

This evening it will be 8 times in 11 days if I'm lucky. It's a nice incentive isn't it? And that mini skirt I got to wear around the house was a master stroke.

Yarnie · 01/07/2008 16:47

Yaay - Mandy! Glad to have someone to wait with Any symptoms (psychosomatic or otherwise) yet?

This is the Summer of Luuurrrvvve for me also - 10 times in 10 days! Are we boasting about how much jiggy we're getting?! I don't think I've done that since I was at uni, if at all!

Emma I think pg is not really in question any more, but I bet you'll be glad to have the bloods back so the medical plonkers professionals are happy and you can get on your merry way!

I've just finished an interior design course and I got my first commission today. Exciting, but blardy scary!

Mandy73 · 01/07/2008 22:30

Yarnie said: "I don't think I've done that since I was at uni, if at all!"
I know what you're saying! Possibly some sunny holiday in the distant past when we had just met. Now it's 8 times in 11 days for us - just celebrated our stellar effort with wine & a BBQ. I'm pleased it was 5 times in the 7 days before getting OPK surge - that seems to be an important time, provided the swimmers are OK.

No symptoms at all really, you? Noticed today my (.)(.) seemed a bit full but that's normal. It's a b*tch PMT & early PG symptoms are so similar (allegedly) isn't it?

Congratulations on the commission! It's good you're a little bit scared, it'll keep you sharp. xx

Yarnie · 02/07/2008 07:09

No symptoms from me Mandy, in fact my temp doesn't even look post-ov. I was meant to ov yesterday, but I guess I may have been late, so my temp hasn't had a chance to rise. All will be revealed in the next day or so, I suppose.

Well done for making the most of the lovely weather with wine and a bbq . DF and I are devoting this weekend to "us" time as we've been quite busy of late. We're off to the Wireless Festival in Hyde Park on Friday, so that should be a nice start to it all.

Hope everyone's happy and well this morning

Mandy73 · 02/07/2008 11:00

Yarnie festival sounds great, enjoy it!, Yup, carving out 'us' time is crucial. Good luck with it all.

Is anyone else with us for the latest dreaded 2ww? x

Yarnie · 03/07/2008 15:53

How's it looking for you today, Mandy?

I still didn't get a post-ov temp today. It's very odd. I usually ov on CD13 like clockwork and my temp rises straight away. I'm on CD15 now and my temp still hasn't got above the coverline of my last cycle. Weird. I guess I'll just have to sit it out and see. I wish I'd used my opks this month [eye roll emoticon].

Mandy73 · 03/07/2008 16:47

I'm OK thanks. Already flirting with obsessing over symptom spotting though - at 5dpo. And secretly bought a nice wintery dress "that would be good with a bump". Madness.

How odd Yarnie. Is it too late for you to wee on a OPK stick then?

This whole OV thing is a mystery to me.

Not sure I could do the temping - I'm a freelancer with v irregular schedule so forced to put in regular all-nighters, then have lie-ins (poor me ) and you have to temp same time, 1st thing in the morning, for ever, no?
No, I'm sticking with the sticks. Lucky we are made of money.

Not.

Yarnie · 03/07/2008 17:55

Good advice Mandy! I just peed on a stick and I did get a second bar, although not a positive result. I think usually I would not get a second bar at all at this time, so maybe I did ov later.

Who knows ?!

What symptoms have you got then?

LOL at your purchase well, I reckon it will be a good luck charm for you

Mandy73 · 03/07/2008 20:01

'Second bar', not sure what that means Yarnie. I'm on the CB digital so never pay attention to the lines .

Have you read this BTW?
bonniebaby.21.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=8779

Oh, symptoms schrymptoms I say:
Sleepy, hungry, from happy to crazy angry in no-time and back, AF-like cramps & twinges + lots of white stringy CM (sorry). But I can't say it's anything out of the ordinary really. I actually don't think there's a chance in h*ll anyone has symptoms this early. I think it's just wishful thinking & after-construction if PG is confirmed later.
Hope you have a nice evening. xx
