2 week wait purgatory!

I'm going out of my mind on month 5 of ttc! Anyone else with me?! On 8dpo, every little niggle or thing is driving me crazy. Just had a bit of spotting so could it be implantation bleeding or is my period coming?! (And so begins a 30 min google hole of perimenopause symptoms, because im 40 so it could be!!!) Argh!

Congrats to everyone with their positives! I'm holding out till 12DPO now (Sunday). AF is due in 5 days but I felt like I had PMS the last 3 days and nothing today. No cramp and still a lot of CM! It's a tiny bit sticky/stretchy. It seemed to dry up yesterday until the evening then lots of creamy/lotion type. I'm pretty sure that's what happened last time I got pregnant, judging by what I recorded on Premom app 🤞🏻

This is only our first month trying, and last time we only tried for 2 months before I got my BFP so I'm not good at being patient and trying to remind myself that we got really lucky last time!

It's so frustrating when the tests don't give a clear answer. I can see the pink second line, but it doesn't look like it goes all the way across the test so I think it might be faulty, though I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you for a BFP on another test x

10dpo today. High hopes this morning and I'm so disappointed...😩 How are you all doing?

I can see lines on all 3 of those @Chocolate4 - sometimes progression can be slow so early on so keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I did a FRER this morning at 12dpo and there is an obvious but faint line there. As soon as I did the test I started bleeding so I think it's a chemical this month as AF should be due today or tomorrow. I'm disappointed but I only ovulated just over a week after the surgery for my MMC and was worried that the womb lining wouldn't have thickened enough for a healthy pregnancy anyway this month.

@PBandJellySandwich Thank you so much for your kind words 💕I think thoses lines or shadows are just indents unfortunately as there is no progression but hey ho..
I’m so sorry to hear about the bleeding, that must feel so hard after seeing a line. Be gentle with yourself! your body has been through a lot so soon after the surgery. Even if this month doesn’t work out, it’s really positive that you ovulated and that implantation was able to happen. Sending you lots of love and hoping so much that your rainbow is just around the corner 🌈✨

@PBandJellySandwich sorry to hear about that. But hopefully next month, as it sounds like all your hormones are lining up for pregnancy 💕

I've had nausea yesterday and today. Really quite bad and it does remind me of how I felt with my daughter, although I was about 6 weeks pregnant when it started last time and feels very very early to start before my period is due 😂

Am I going mad or is there the faintest of pink lines here? 👀🙈 Wasn't my FMU and it's not the most sensitive of tests, AF due Wednesday

Ergh I’m in the 2ww too. I didn’t do very well with tracking ovulation this month as I seem to be having a super random long cycle. I assumed I didn’t ovulate but tested on the off chance after lots of EECM on CD27 and got a high reading so I suspect ovulated on CD28. I’m now CD35 so assume 7DPO. Got plenty of cramping going on and feel soooo tired. Negative test this morning. My boobs were super sore a few days ago but not now and I have a random groin pain….not that I’m symptom spotting at all 😅

argh, I just want a positive test or for AF to arrive and put me out of my misery. This is just the worst bit of the cycle.

These are 3 tests I've done today. The first two were taken immediately and I feel like there's a hint of a line, the third I could see a hint of a line but then it got darker after about an hour. Evaporation line or very early positive, what do we think 😂

@PineappleK I'd say thats a line in 2 of them!! Let us know how you get on tomorrow! AF has just arrived for me, late by my watch but Flo totally called that it would arrive today. Weird! Im quite relieved its here so we can get on with it next cycle!

@Jellbell40same faint line today on a cheapie with fmu. Also I started spotting so I think either false positives or maybe a chemical pregnancy. Due in 3 days and have my normal period cramps and cravings so I'm calling it for this month. Due to be on a night shift for my 2 most fertile days next month so it's going to be potentially impossible to do it on those days 😥 I can't swap because of childcare already being arranged.

But at least I can have a glass of wine on my birthday and besties hen do. I'd much rather have a secret to hide though 😥

@PineappleKi can only see a line on the last one, sorry.

I’m now 8DPO. I usually have a 10 day luteal phase so I guess I’m still in it but I also have the usual cramps so not holding too much hope. I’m not going to test today. I’m going to try really hard to wait until Tuesday when I think AF should be due (I know I’ll cave and test tomorrow morning…)

@FullofconfusionI'm pretty sure it was a chemical, the lines were a little clearer in person than on the pictures. But nothing at all today.
10 days is a very short luteal phase, I'm sure anything less than 11 can make it harder to conceive. Have you spoken to a Dr about it? It's an easy fix though, you can have progesterone tablets to give yourself a better chance ☺️

I read Taking Charge of Your Fertility, would highly recommend it!

I did fall pregnant last year and devastatingly had to TFMR at 22 weeks. I also had a missed miscarriage earlier this year. I’d very much like my rainbow baby now.

Oh @PineappleK im sorry, thats such a shame. I've just finished AF, so fingers crossed for next month. I hope you can find some time to ttc this month. Its such a heartbreaking time isn't it. Thats interesting about the progesterone tablets, how do you get hold of them!? Would I need to speak to a specialist? Im having blood tests this month, on cycle day 2 and 22 to check hormone levels. @Fullofconfusion im so sorry to hear of your sad loss, thats devastating. Everything crossed for you xx

@Jellbell40im not sure about how you get the tablets, but definitely get in touch with your GP and you'll be able to go from there! The books written by an American Dr so very different over there. Getting your hormones tested is a good start too, if you struggle to get an appointment make sure you tell them the test is time sensitive, they'll find a way to squeeze you in usually ☺️

@Fullofconfusionthats very sad to hear, I hope you get your rainbow baby very soon. If you've conceived naturally in the past then it's a good sign you'll be able to get pregnant again.

I’m on 11DPO now and no AF. Negative test this morning. Still having cramps so assume AF coming but kind of wish she’d get a move on so that I can move onto the next cycle.

@Fullofconfusionstill not arrived! I think I'm going to do a cheap test when I get home but definitely not expecting anything because I've been spotting which I normally do just before AF arrives.

It might actually be good for me if it comes a little late because it means I'll be more available for DTD on my next cycle (not on night shifts!)

I am 8DPO today - going to test on Friday (10DPO). I have sore breasts and had some brown spotting on 5DPO but read that's too early for implantation bleeding. I also have some milk cramping but I think I may be reading too much into it.. AF due in 6 days.

It's my husbands 40th birthday next week - manifesting that I give him some amazing news!

Well you could knock me down with a feather right now. Totally different to my last pregnancy already. I had a glass of wine on Sunday and again on Tuesday! 🙈 I'd totally convinced myself I was out this month. I guess AF isn't on the way at all but slightly concerned I've had some spotting

I’ll do another test in the morning if AF still hasn’t arrived. Flo said I was due to start my period today and I’ve not gone more than 10 days post ovulation over the last few months so not sure where she’s hiding. Maybe I’ll have a surprise like you, however the tests I took today and yesterday were very negative so I highly doubt it

@Fullofconfusionthank you, I'm still in shock. I definitely wasn't expecting it but I guess those squinters I had before were actually positive!

The book I recommended basically said if your luteal phase is extended and you definitely ovulated, pregnancy is basically the only cause. If you're only 10 DPO maybe it's just too early to tell. The squinters I had were 11 DPO and I had absolutely nothing on 12 DPO so there's definitely hope for you yet! The early tests don't take into consideration that we all have different luteal phase lengths so it's highly unlikely you're gonna get a positive yet, even if you are!

I also read Toni's Fertility Awareness Book - this is my second month of TTC, I learned so much from the book that I have ditched the LH strips. I wish I had read this book when I was a teen.

Did you get to 18 days of high temps? Last month I got to 17 days before AF came. It was actually fascinating to see it all play out as Toni suggests in her book.

I am on 9DPO today, AF due on Tuesday/Weds. Will start testing from tomorrow (10DPO) or Saturday (11DPO).

When did you see your first faint line?

I only use LH strips. Am I missing out by not doing temps? @thismonthsfad

I’m 12DPO today after saying I always have a 10 day luteal phase and still no AF and still negative

@thismonthsfad I didn't temp this time, I tried but my little girl sleeps in our bed so I get roused from sleep every few hours.

I learned so much from her and yeah I think every teenage girl should read it to have a real understanding of their body. I'm ashamed to say how little I knew before I read the book...and I'm a biomedical scientist! This time I got 2 veeeeery faint lines at 11DPO (see pics above) but nothing at 12DPO so assumed I'd had chemical. Didn't test till 15DPO which was my AF due date, and the positives are good strong ones. @Fullofconfusion according to LH strips I don't ovulate so I've never got on with them personally 😂
