LBOT....I swapped from oral to hoo har temping and did find my temps in degrees C to be about 0.4 degrees higher so would be probably about a degree farenheit ?? My temps were much more stable though than orally....

I've told a few people MM but they are my close friends and I go through everything with them. As it's no 2, it feels different telling people tbh and if anything goes wrong then I'll need their support.... Sorry to hear re your parents MM..particularly at this time.

at everyone else. I'm off now - to watch RUBBISH Sat night telly. God it's depressing isn't it - maybe I might just surf the net mindlessly !

Oooh, Yarnie, cookies!!! You'll make some for the old girls on the hoo har thread, of course, right?

FF still has my O date at CD17, but I think that's really unlikely considering I've had two positive OPK's AFTER CD17! I think it's more likely CD18...but I guess it could've been as late as CD21. Hope not as we've slacked off a bit on the GOF front

Hi All,

I've decided to take a break from temping, so have removed my name. We have been temping since my miscarriage 12 months ago, but now DH is finding performing on demand difficult, so I think a break is in order.

Good luck to everyone. I will come and lurk every now and again.

Orchid - it is never good to get into that pressure zone. take a break and relax - I know that the little voice in your head will still be marking off the days though. We had 2 cycles off recently and it made the last cycle a whole lot easier and back to our usually comedic approach to baby making.

Morning all.

So sorry you're leaving us Orchidgirl, but I hope your break will do both you and DH good!

When I plugged my temp in this morning, FF moved my O date from CD17 to CD20! I had marked down EWCM on CD20, but I really don't remember if it was proper EWCM or just a bit stringy When I take it away, FF puts O back at CD17 - which I don't think is right either, I think more like CD18. But by now I don't really care! If it was CD17 or 18 we're well covered, but if it was CD20, not so much, but can't do anything about it now. I guess what will be will be...good news is my temp pattern is really similar to the cycle I got pg, so if anything it looks like my cycle is regulating itself a bit.

Ah, I've babbled too long! How is everyone else???

Hi all..sorry I have been quiet this weekend, we went camping - which was great! Lots of energising walks and relaxing in pubs afterwards

MM Congratulations!! That is absolutely fantastic. I hope things with your parents smooth over soon so that you can share your great news with them.

orchidgirl sorry to see you leave this thread for a while but perhaps a break is a good thing? Look forward to seeing you around the pregnancy boards in the future

lastbox It is so frustrating that FF keeps moving your O date, although at least it seems that your cycle is settling down slightly? It is really good news that your doctor followed-up with you and you are able to have a prog. test. It is not often that a GP is so supportive and...well...even remembers their patients!!

Well done on trying hoo-har temping. I am sure I sleep with my mouth open some nights but am slightly nervous of switching to 'the other' way of temping. My husband already thinks I am completely crazy...can't imagine what he'll think if I start with that!

Yarnie · 30/06/2008 12:50

Just taking a coffee break from clearing up after the party. I'll catch up with you all properly later.

Only relevant news from me is that DF was rather the worse for wear and so couldn't perform last night or this morning due to his hangover. I'm expecting to ov tomorrow, so it's a bit irritating We'll have to get some in tonight to make up for it.

Back soon...

I know, I've done that too. And I find I kind of walk on egg shells around him and totally let things slide that I wouldn't ordinarily when we get around Ov time just to keep the peace for that week But of course you know, in the long run, the health of your relationship is much more important than one month of maybe-missed TTC.

Oh, I don't know what's going on with FF! Now I find that if I leave the EWCM but 'un-discard' the high pre-O temp I had on CD14 (the result of Friday night unwinding!) it gives me CD18, but if I discard it, it says CD20. the O date also changes depending on which ovulation detector is set. So I'm just not bothering with it now - because I can't do anything about it!

I also have had horrible stomach cramps last night and today and I'm wondering if I have a bladder infection or something - probably due to all that GOFing! not fun! But at least it's taking my mind off of possible symptoms!

Yarnie · 01/07/2008 07:30

Just wrote a long post and lost it so excuse my brevity this time around

Lottie So sorry to hear your weekend was a washout. I hope, at least, you both got a chance to get some things off your chest and will be better able to face the next cycle, if you have missed out this time around.

Orchid Completely understand your need to take a break. I should think if we're still at it in a few months, we'll give ourselves a month or two off.

LBOT at your FF weirdness. I reckon you just go with your instincts as to what data to keep or discard and make sure you GOF a lot either side of as well as during your fertile time. Hope your cramps have eased up (although could they not be a good sign?).

Nappy Hope the potty training is going well

NotSoNew I'd love to go camping! I used to go a lot, but DF isn't very "outdoorsy"

A good ov dip from me today. Another 2ww looms!

Hello all, typing this with DD on my lap so excuse typos...

Lottie what a shame about your weekend. Holiday breaks, unfortunately, do seem to be the optimum time to get things off your chest (or so it seems to be the way with me!). You never know, you might not have missed the boat (but if af arrives you can discount this month as one where you didn't 'try') I must say I always find the week before ovulation the most stressful time and the week after the least

LBOT I know how it feels when FF moves your Ov date around - very unsettling! I wish I could offer advice on your chart but they're still a mystery to me Fingers x'd you covered yourselves this month anyway.

Orchidgirl hope a more relaxed approach works for you!

Yarnie I've just twigged that if you have a DF you must be getting married soon??

Right really have to go now, DD is getting antsy. All good with me, have made up with parents and no adverse symptoms (yet!). Big wave to everyone...

Thanks Yarnie - I'm actually thinking that CD20 is more likely based on the CM I had after Ov - tons of watery CM the two days after which was similar to last month - and the temp patterns, which are similar to other months. Plus, once I added my CM for yesterday - any kind of CM! seriously I tried every option! - FF moved the date to 20 consistently, so I guess I'm stuck with it. Just slightly worried as the last time we GOF'd was CD18 We just couldn't do anymore! I hope it was enough, but to be honest, two days out with not so hot EWCM doesn't instill much confidence although we did use preseed on CD18. So while it's bad enough I feel we're out this month, since I ov'd later than usual this month it pushes my potential Ov date for next month right into the week that I've booked a flight to see my family in New York

Yarnie · 01/07/2008 09:08

Hi MM! How are you feeling? Really glad to hear you've made up with the parental units Have you told many people about your BFP yet, or are you waiting?

Yep - I'll be getting married some time next year. We haven't set a date yet, but it will probably be Aug/Sep time. I'm half hoping I'll be pg when I get married so I don't have to worry about any lumpy-bumpiness (I'm off to the gym in a minute - lol!). We're only having a tiny registry office ceremony, so a bump won't upset any grand plans. Here's hoping, anyway.

Oooh, we have a wedding to plan on the hoo har thread! Let us help, Yarnie!!!! Please!?!?!

THanks Lottie You did make me feel better! {{hugs}} I suppose we shall see! The good thing is that because I'm pretty sure we weren't successful, I'm not crazed by every little "symptom"! As for the preseed, it was better this time - I also like having it on hand, just in case. I had decent CM on CD17 and thought for sure I would be ov'ing on CD18, so used it that evening. Didn't use as much as I did last time and didn't tell DH about it either. Last month I tried to shove the whole container up there but this time I figured I didn't need as much as it was messy and must've done more harm than good with all the dripping out (Sorry TMI!!!!) Anyway, point is, I think now that I know how to use it, I like it much more.

Yarnie · 02/07/2008 06:58

Well, I don't have a very post-ovulatory temperature, if I ov'd yesterday as usual. Perhaps I ov'd late so my temp hasn't had a chance to rise? I did have more of a dip before ov than usual, so I guess it has further to go up. Let's see what tomorrow brings.

How's everyone else this morning?

LBOT My post-ov temps are usually over 36.5, so 36.3 is low for me. I might even have some EWCM today, but it could be DF's contribution! Lottie look at us being all confused about ov?

Now I come to think of it, I also have a half memory of accidentally having a micro-nap and snoring when I took my temp this morning, so perhaps I fell unconscious for a moment and had my mouth open

herbgarden · 02/07/2008 17:23

Hi all LBOT...remember I wanted to say that in the month I conceived I had no CM- wet but def no CM to speak of...that's why I got the pre-seed and then never used it - so just goes to show really. I was really worried about my lack of CM as it was so different from last time when I conceived and that was how I measured when I thought I was fertile - this time it was all a bit haphazard so was using the temps to predict.

.....had a scan and there is a good heartbeat (8 weeks) ....will now wait til the next date I suppose - still a few hurdles to get over.......

Bye everyone for now !
