LOL at your dream Lottie. I'd love to see whether the predictions come true

Missmodular and Lottie I am in complete agreement re: how hard it is to cut out caffeine. I have only one cup a day and I tried to forego it yesterday. Ended up in bed with a thumping headache. I gave in and had a coffee! I hope I produce enough cm to get by without having to cut it out, or I'm in trouble!

LBOT I'm sorry your trip to the doctors wasn't very exciting. As you say, at least you've laid down a marker. Keep going, girl

Still high temps from me but alas, a bfn on a FR test I just did so I just have to wait until af arrives. I feel absolutely fine about it though .

Missmodular - how many DPO are you?

I'm so so so confused about my cycle! My CM seems to have dried up after four days or so of not particularly abundant, but definitely wet and EW-y. But my temp still hasnt' risen. I'm going to get some OPK's today, but I wonder if it's too late already? I hope we had enough BD to cover ourselves

what a wacky dream, Lottie! I wonder what it means!

How are you Yarnie?

Yarnie · 23/06/2008 10:27

Here's hoping the BFN is fraudulent Missmodular. Do you have a chart we can spy on?

LBOT at your fertility signs. I hope the OPKs give you the answers, or you get some exciting temps soon.

Nothing much to report here - except I'm on my 5th day of AF. Very unusual for me. I'm normally three days. It's as light as usual though. I've got an exciting planning application to draft today but will try and get out for a walk in the sunshine at some point

Hope everyone else is having a good Monday

Missmodular · 23/06/2008 10:44

God I really wish I hadn't tested now - half an hour later there's a faint line - though I know you're not supposed to take anything into account after ten mins and it could be an evap line. It was a CB - not an FR test as I said before, though this one says it can detect four days before af is due.

According to FF I'm 11 dpo although I still think I'm 14 and FF got my O date wrong.

So a bit inconclusive really - should've just waited a few more days!!

Here's my chart

I think I'm probably not pg but it's annoying that I can't be 100% sure.

lastboxoftampons · 23/06/2008 10:50

Yarnie - what's your job? We went through a grueling planning permission process! Originally rejected and then had a successful appeal, so we finally got our permission although it took over a year in all. The builders just started two weeks ago and I can't wait for my new kitchen!!! Although it's VERY messy in the meantime

I think my BBT just isn't really reliable. I've been holding out on getting OPKs because I didn't want to spend the money and because I didn't want to stress about it. But I realize I've been offered them for free twice now and I've turned them down. stupid me! It never really occurred to me that my BBT might not be a true indicator of when exactly I ovulated (Lottie and Sorky have been really helpful in explaining to me that my body may have a delayed response to progesterone). Anyway, going to buy some Clear Blue digis in Superdrug at lunch to see if we're not too late and then we'll BD with preseed tonight. I'm on CD16 and usually, my temp seems to indicate ovulation on CD18. The month I did get PG, I had tons of EWCM on CD16 and we GOF'd 16, 17 & 18, had temp rise on CD19. So it had to have happened sometime in that 16-18 window because we hadn't had sex for about a week before. Sorry if this is all rambling and long and me, me, me! I'm just confused!

lastboxoftampons · 23/06/2008 10:57

Hmm...difficult to tell MM - FF is probably giving you CD16 because of that rogue temp on CD10 - even though you've discarded it, the software won't be able to detect 6 previous temps before the shift. It's also probably confused because you've got EW on two separate occasions and because CD 15, 16 & 17 have open circle temps. Did you cover yourselves BDing anyway? I would wait until tomorrow and if still no AF (are you due soon?) do a FR. Fingers crossed for you!

God, how confusing MM. I'm no help at all, I'm afraid, except to agree with LBOT that FF is probably confused by some of your fertility signs. In any event, I'll keep my fingers firmly crossed for you

LBOT I'm just setting out on the path to be an interior spatial designer after resigning from the law last year. I've just finished my graduate diploma, so I'm in the process of writing to various firms to get some "work experience" (at my age!). We're in the process of appealing a planning permission at the mo! Fun, isn't it The application I'm working on today is our fall-back position if we lose the appeal.

I can understand your concerns about OPKs. It's another thing to buy for a process which is meant to be "natural" and which we were "born to do" and which might be of limited usefulness. However, I reckon it's worth doing in the short term. If you're having problems, I think the more information you can have about what's happening in your body (provided you don't stress about it) the better. Anyway, it sounds like you've been doing everything right

Missmodular · 23/06/2008 14:12

Afternoon all,

LBOT - I completely understand your reservation about OPKs - it's just another 'thing' to have to think about and from what I've read on these threads, they can cause confusion too. BUT if temping alone isn't working for you they might be worth a go.

Lottie I too am in London and can see lots of pretty white fluffy clouds outside Hope you get to go out and enjoy it while it lasts, Yarnie!

Feeling quite crampy and can hear the distant cackle of AF along with the swoosh of her broom (for some reason she's become the Wicked Witch of the East in my imagination, lol).

lastboxoftampons · 23/06/2008 16:38

Lottie yes, I remember Sorky saying that. I've just bought a kit from Boots and am holding my pee as we speak! Only about a hour and half to go! I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to peeing

Now what should be my strategy - obviously if it's positive, need to go home and jump DH. But if it's negative, do we think that I've already ovulated and shouldn't bother tonight? Or should we do it anyway and then test again tomorrow? See, this is exactly what I was trying to avoid!

MissModular Here's hoping she gets a house dropped on her before she gets to you

lastboxoftampons · 23/06/2008 16:38

Well no great surprise there and we are back at the top.

Off to see consultant tomorrow to move things on to the assisted conception stage. Will report back tomorrow.

ready glad new job is giving you something to focus on. I have been much more relaxed since starting this Talking Tots franchise and don't have much time for stressing about what is missing IYKWIM. Chill out and forget about it. I will be thinking of you
OMG does that make me the only one left from last year on this thread???? No wait I forgot about Lottie. You were there when I joined and then had a break I think. Hopefully not due to me joining this thread!!!

lastboxoftampons · 23/06/2008 20:07

So sorry Nappy But good luck for tomorrow!

Speaking of - didn't get one on the CB digi tonight. So, I guess we'll see what tomorrow brings.

Lottie - I want to give you a huge hug! {{{}}} you WILL be a mum!

Actually he's not home yet, so no jumping here...not yet anyway. Think we'll try with preseed tonight, as I don't have much CM now. Should be interesting to see what happens in the next couple of days. As we've discussed () my temp seems to indicate on CD18, but after you and sorky mentioned I migh have a slow reaction to progesterone, I was pretty curious to see if I o'd earlier. I guess we'll tomorrow and Wednesday. Either way it'll be good to have some answers - if I ov earlier, our GOFs probably weren't timed brilliantly, BUT I'll be better equipped for next month - plus I'm meant to visit my parents without DH around the later end of my ovulatory phase in July. If I haven't, then we still have 'opportunities' left this month!

Yarnie · 24/06/2008 06:56

I'll stop by later. Hope everyone's ok.

Yarnie you're up with the lark - I thought I'd be the first poster this morning

LBOT LOL at house dropping I say GOF with abandon until you're absolutely sure you've ov'd!

I'm an East Londoner btw - funny so many of us on this thread are Londoners - where's everyone else from?

Lottie agree with LBOT - you WILL be a mum, just hang in there. Fingers x'd the NHS sorts out an appt for you soon.

Nappy - fingers x'd for you also today - let us know how you get on!

Well, same story from me today - high temp and no af - YET. Am beginning to think that FF got my ov date correct - if I'm pregnant, it was too early for the HPT to detect yesterday and if I'm not then af's probably due on Thursday.

Now I'm beginning to wonder if there's something wrong with my thermometer - or if I'm clinically dead?!!? I probably sleep with my mouth open - but I probably do that every night. And I don't think sleeping with my mouth open will totally mask a post-O temp, right? Okay, see, now I'm obsessing and I don't like it one bit!

Anyhoo...MM fingers still crossed for you! whatever FF says, a high temp is still a good thing. Hope it keeps up past Thursday!

And as for all of us tempers being from London...well, maybe it's because we're impatient city folk and NEED to know what's going on at all times

Did you guys see the article on IVF on the NHS in today's Times? Interesting reading...

Yarnie · 24/06/2008 10:18

MM Good to see high temps from you. Here's hoping for a happy outcome this cycle

Lottie I'm right there in boringville with you. Enjoying the GOFing (just practising at the mo ) but missing the high drama of the second half of the cycle...maybe!

LBOT I'd ignore your daily readings and just input them into FF and look at the pretty patterns. Obviously look out for temp shifts, but try to be nonchalent about what your temp is on any given day.

Nappy Hope you had a good meeting with your consultant today. Let us know how you get on.

I'm a Londoner too, but my 'hood's west London(!)

!Hola! to anyone else out there.

minxi · 24/06/2008 11:18

Hello girls - thought I would pop in and say hello!! {smile]
MissMod brilliant temp!
Lottie hope you are well - every day is all very well - we keep trying that but it is so restricting in the spontaneous feel its quite hard to do - was fine 8 years ago when ttc first!! and was on honeymoon!
LBOT hope cycle has settled down and you get lucky this month - I have also joined local tennis and health club and am exercising every day - feel better but have also suffered a cold which wasn't too bad but has left me with a blocked ear and headache last two days!
Yarnie hello to you
Nappy I am still around and not doing very well at avoiding mumsnet... good luck with the consultant... sorry to see you back at the top again!

I was loooking back at my charting and as I saw the consultant over a year ago - he gave me clomid which didn't work - but it was to help my cycles after the depo... so in realistic thoughts I have only been successfully trying with a normal cycle for about 14 months - do you think that would be the right way to look at it - although it is longer than that for the first 2 years since Jan05 cycles were all over the place (just trying to make myself feel better)

Anyway hope all of you are okay... I am fine and actually started a little temp check yesterday - I know I said Iwouln't but its quite hard not too as it is in itself quite fascinating.... Dh working quite close to home this week so will and are trying to get on with it...cd13 today.

P.s. I'm not from London - quite close in Berkshire..

NotSoNewAnymore · 24/06/2008 11:40

Hi there,

Can I join you please? I have been temping for 3 months now (since a mc in March) and am trying for my first.

I must admit that I have been lurking on this thread for a while but decided to take the plunge and leverage your collective temping genius

I am on CD1 today, new cycle...new start....all that stuff!

BTW - am a West Londoner too! And am definitely an impatient city-folk...
