Well, an inconclusive chart from me this morning. My temp fell 0.01, which is not much, but still a fall. If it wasn't the fact that the temps are quite a bit lower than my c.10DPO temps, I'd get a bit excited. Will be knicker checking all day.

Sorry to be all about me.

How's everyone else doing this morning?

Yarnie, how long is your usual LP? Chart still looks good IMO

I don't have ANY idea about what's going on with me. Today I have spotting Have made an appointment to see the GP for Friday morning, but will try to get in tomorrow AM instead.

Yarnie · 18/06/2008 11:11

LBOT I'm sorry things are so random for you at the moment. I hope that GP has some useful suggestions for you. Hope you get to him sooner rather than later, too

My LP is usually 14 days. I say "usually", but I have only been charting for one and half cycles and this one isn't over yet, so it's possible I am not as regular as I think I am, IYSWIM.

Unless I am deluding myself, my cycle is always 27 days and I usually get AF in the morning, after I have been up a short while. I was up at 6 this morning and still no AF. I also have a reasonable amount of wet cm (can't remember whether that is "normal" or not) and no spotting at all, which is not usual. I am very aware that I spent a fair degree of this cycle freaking out about an important project deadline, so this could have thrown my cycle off.

If I can remember to retain my FMU and I still don't have AF in the morning, I'll test.

Thanks, Lottie and Yarnie. My one consolation is that the month I got PG I had spotting on like CD12 - I'm CD11 now. Also, I just went for a poke up around there and it seems like there's some EWCM It's not much, but it stretches between my fingers and I know it's not semen because last BD was Sunday. So maybe it's ovulation spotting and I'm o'ing earlier than normal? It's my first month on a B complex and Starflower oil, plus cutting out all caffeine and drinking green tea and grapefruit juice - oh and this is the month I was going to not obsess Anyway, we'll see what GP says.

Yarnie - if you 'threw your cycle off' it would've affected ovulation not your LP If you've ov'd around the same time as you did this month, then you can assume that your cycle will be pretty much the same length. Fingers crossed for you!

Yarnie · 19/06/2008 06:52

LBOT Glad to hear you've got some promising ov signs and your regime seems to be working. Is everything looking good this morning?

My temp plummeted below my coverline this morning, so AF must be just around the corner. I wish it would hurry up

Hello! So sorry you got AF, Yarnie But it sounds like you're actually happy about it, so glad for you too if that makes any sense?

EWCM today too - this is all very interesting. I totally think it's down to the caffeine. Dont' know if we should start BDing at this point though. I think maybe we'll take an every other day approach from tonight and see what happens...

Oh, Lottie, I'm sorry How insensitive of your friend! Do you think she got the message and will adjust her attitude accordingly this weekend? I hope she does.

Yes, I cut out caffeine this month. Haven't had any coffee or tea. But I've also started a B-complex and a starflower/evening primrose oils combo vitamin - plus one cup green tea a day and one glass of grapefruit juice each morning. I've also been back to the gym consistently and have been making an effort to eat well. So I'm not sure if it's anyone of those things or all of them together - but caffeine is the one thing I haven't really tried before. I've done B-vitamins, but mostly B6, and evening primrose before and they didnt' seem to make a difference. Have also tried the grapefruit juice, but not consistently enough I don't think. Anyway, I think I'm in for an early ovulation this month - I have no idea how that would've happened! but I'm excited for the first time in a long time!

Your running regime sounds great! And congrats on the 5k - that's wonderful! Where do you run? We're just a block away from Brockwell Park, and I joined the new gym there in September, so that's where I go. I've been really good about going in the mornings because we have builders in and I can't lie about in bed anyway And every morning there are people in the pool Absolute NUTTERS! It's freezing!!!!

In a way I'm really pleased with myself for being so healthy and on top of things this month. But then I think how is it possible that I need to do ALL OF THIS just to get some EWCM, let alone pregnant? I mean, I'm pretty healthy in general anyway and I wonder how other people manage to get pg and carry to term so easily/casually???

lastboxoftampons · 19/06/2008 18:15

Oh, I didn't reply to anything that you wrote! I'm so sorry about your friend. You know of course that deep down she doesn't mean to be so insensitive - she's just amazed by it all. And rightly so, but I think she's just so blinded that she doesn't realize that her comments are making you feel worse about your situation. You might have to actually say to her 'When you say Y, it makes me feel X' iyswim? And about the play with the baby comment. That's just weird! anyway, hopefully one day soon we'll also be in such a far off wonderful place that we won't realize what we're saying also

and, yes, of course any early ov'ing is all down to you! I will totally give you credit on my FF chart! Right at the top where it says 31/TTC 3 months/short lp/early ovualtion as predicted by Lottie

Hi everyone, I've been a bit quiet recently because there's nothing to report! Oh, except my imaginary pregnancy symptoms of course - won't bore you with them here Oh alright just a little bit. Things like: is that a metallic taste in my mouth or have I had too many cups of tea today? And: is my chest genuinely sore or is it my ill-fitting bra? And lastly: Is my stomach bulging because I'm pre-menstrual, pregnant or just fat? Ah the joys of the 2ww!

Lottie I'm actually a bit at your friend myself! Don't feel guilty at having to spell it out for her, she needs to know!

Yarnie sorry to hear af got you but well done for not wasting any tests.

LBOT impressive health regime! Hope it puts you in good stead for this month.

Yarnie · 20/06/2008 07:47

LBOT I am seriously impressed with your regime! I have made a few adjustments, like only one cup of coffee a day, I take Pregnacare and two Evening Primrose and EPA capsules each day. I usually eat fairly sensibly anyway. I must follow your good example and get down the gym more often - although I've been running around so much lately, I think I've been getting a bit of exercise despite myself! I should probably drink more water, too. I am sure your regime will pay off very soon and you'll be damn glad you were so diligent

Lottie Like Missmodular, I was at your friend when I read what she has said. As LBOT says, I'm sure it's not malicious, but I'd hope I'd be rather more sensitive if I had a friend who had been ttc and not hit the jackpot yet. I hope she took on board your comments

Missmodular Fingers crossed this is your month. Nothing wrong with a bit of symptom spotting in my book!

Lottie sorry your friend was so daft, I suspect she is just in that zone after having a baby where you are so tired you don't know your name and you become incredibly selfish - she will come out the other side. And you can do it when it is your turn (yes it WILL happen). Still doesn't stop it hurting though.

LBOT I also found a dramatic increase in EWCM when I cut out caffine many months ago. Just one thing though, you do know that green tea has caffine in it right. It is less than "brown" tea though. have you tried Redbush as that is natuarally caffine free.

Also general comment about caffine - don't go cold turkey when giving up caffine, you need to wean yourself off over a couple of days, otherwise you cna have extremely severe head aches, nausea and vomiting. Even if you only drink 2-3 cups of tea a day.

Ok soap box away now.

I am sleeping really badly at the mo and waking up tired AND having wierd dreams about lego (playing Indiana Jones Lego on my DS at the moment) - yes I am a closet geek. Maybe I'll get kicked off MN now!!

Sure sign AF on the way.

Morning all

Went to the GP this morning and she was less than helpful, as I imagined she would be. It's funny how they know absolutely nothing about temping and just seem to disregard it! I said I had a very irregular period this past month and she said well, let's do a pregnancy test. I told her I was sure I wasn't pregnant because my temps were back to their preovulatory state and she said well, let's just do one anyway. of course it was negative! Anyway, just as I thought she said it's still really soon after the mc and to give it a few more months. Oh, well, I guess it's a good thing that there's a record of me having been there so if I go back in a few months they might take me a little more seriously. I hate the feeling of panicking watching the months go by and my cycle being so weird, and then getting to see the doctor and suddenly feeling like you're completely overreacting!

ANYWAY, how is everyone else?

nappy the funny thing is, I never really consumed all that much caffeine to begin with - usually only one regular latte a day and sometimes a cup of regular tea in the afternoon - and maybe a cup or two of filter coffee on the weekend. I did go cold turkey but wasn't ever sick - I just had cravings in the mornings for coffee that were pretty strong to begin with but have now all but gone. I know green tea has some caffeine, but I've only been doing one cup a day, so I know it's alot less than the latte I was drinking. Who knows, it might be down to the starflower oil or something else that I've been doing.

Ready · 20/06/2008 18:13

CD3 here. I don't think I am going to go back to temping, certainly not for the foreseeable future. In fact, we are not going to be monitoring much for a bit - we found out that with unexplained fertility they won't refer for assisted conception until 3 years ttc. And if you consider we are not even at 2 years yet, we've got a long wait. So it makes sense to just enjoy life for a while

Will be popping in to see how you are all doing though.

Lottie, I think that it's because I have started my new job, and have that to focus on - once I have been in there for a few months and am fully up to speed, I will probably start stressing again!
It's funny you should say that about the Bug Bee, nomoremagnolia and I went looking at pushchairs in JohnLewis when we met up earlier in the year. We weren't impressed with it either.
How are you doing with work? Is it busy now that summer is here? I thought you were going to look into a different field perhaps? Or is that on the back-burner?

Morning all - I didn't realise how much effect caffeine could have! I've had to cut out coffee because it was making my endometriosis pains worse but find it really difficult to get through the day without at least three cups of tea. Maybe I'll try redbush.

This month feels like the longest I've had in my life! Should temping be recommended to people who feel like life is passing too quickly or does it wear off after a while?
