hey ladies im Sooo confused.
I'm cd 40.
I got my opk peak on cd 20
BFN tests (Inc this morning)
No signs of my period. Cervix is high.
Couple days a go I started getting discharge, like ewcm but thinner. I did an opk and it was low.

Today I've had proper ewcm so I took another opk and it's high/possible peak

The preggo tests in using are internet cheapies if that makes a difference.

Hi any updates? I'm in a similar situation, so confused

Lala87 · 11/01/2025 22:50

I've been through this. My LH would rise so much so that I would get a positive opk just before my period. It is not unheard of. Also the cervix position was not a reliable indication of pregnancy for me, especially early on. I speak from experience as I am pregnant with no2 after 19 months of trying and endless symptom spotting and peeing on sticks. It's very frustrating so you have my sympathy

Lulu89x · 12/01/2025 01:00

I just thought I’d throw this in there - I’m currently pregnant and if I used a LH test, it’s the darkest test I’ve ever seen in my life. Before pregnancy I’d never had a test line the dark.

I just did one as an example - see pic and this is with extremely diluted urine (dipped straight from the bowl - lol!)

the pregnancy tests you’re using - what sensitivity are they? 10ml? 25ml?

My friend also didn’t have a positive pregnancy test for three months..

I only mentioned cervix being high as I get a very clear change and drop to low right before my period which hasn't happened.
So frustrating!

The tests are cheap dip sticks from Amazon that are meant to detect at 10miu

I don't feel pregnant, especially like with my first two (one eptopic, one child)

It feels like ovulation, ewcm, increased sex drive etc
But i wasn't sure whether I would ovulate again without a period.

Okay so erm... Update.
Bloody shocked cause yesterday's preggo twat was completely stark white

SkaterChick · 12/01/2025 14:35

A clear blue was BFN 🤷🏼
I did fuck up and forgot I had a wee on the way out of the house so I only held that wee for maybe 2 hours.
Will try again in the morning I guess.

OP posts:
SkaterChick · 12/01/2025 14:36

Would have expected a faint line if I was preggo even if I didn't hold the wee that long tbh.

It was an early detection one

Yeah but clear blue are not very sensitive abd a line is a line. Have you tried a FRER.

That was a clear blue early detection that supposedly pics up at 10miu

I also took another of the internet cheapies from the pack I got the first line as well as a early detection test I found in my local pharmacy that says it detects at 10miu (both pink dye) after holding urine for 4 hours and both negative.
(Excuse the side of the bath 🤣)

Did two more tests this morning and both are BFN.
I also took an opk last night and this morning and the lines in there are getting fainter.

So I don't think I'm pregnant but I've had an LH surge so either my period may FINALLY show next few days (cycle day 45 I think)
Or it was ovulation and I just didn't have a period last month.

Hey just wondering if any update? I'm literally in the same position. Cd39 for me. I wrote a post just now with all my symptoms nausea (to the point I was sick), strong cramps but not as bad as AF, my boobs are slightly itchy, an abundance of lotiony type cm but still bloody bfn. I had a positive opk confirmed by clear blue 19th Dec and dtd all over the right days. Slowly driving myself crazy over here.

OPKs pick up pregnancy early on before an actual pregnancy test will. Maybe try doing one?

Miracledust29 · 14/01/2025 14:09

Yeah you're right I have heard that. I have none in the house only tests. As frustrating as it is I'm going to try and hold out until the weekend now, it's all so draining!

Hey so my opks have gone faint again so that's consistent with a surge.
It's now been 48 hours since I got the one off positive and further tests this morning were negative

I'm nauseous, yesterday I was almost sick 3 times.
Cramps but not as bad as period pains
My boobs felt weird this morning, reminded me of a slightly engorged feeling from when I was bf my first, we stopped breastfeeding in may last year and when I gave them a little squeeze I got a mix of milk and colostrum. They're slightly achy and maybe feel sorta heavy but don't feel bigger or anything I don't think.
I'm bloated, can barely get my coat zipped up.
I'm tired, I'm getting a huge wave of fatigue around 3-5pm and it's a struggle to nap.
Mt cervix still feels high (it gets super low when I have a period as I can feel it when inserting/removing my moon cup)
I've got from loads of ewcm at the time of the opk peak to a thick dreamt lotion type discharge as well, tmi but it's enough to collect in my knickers!

Drs can't fit me in till next week and that's just a phone call so I'll see what they say I guess.

My opks log and today's preggo tests

(Ignore the cd cause I haven't had a period since start December and even though there isn't a period logged in premom it's started my cycle count again and I don't know how to change that)

Hmm strange as you're opks are looking strong. Annoyingly I don't have any in the house to compare but I'm literally the same as you re all the symptoms. Usually when I read people symptom spotting I'm a bit sceptical but it's frustrating when you really do feel different yourself.
I'm the same I had a dr's appointment booked to discuss options for fertility as I'm 35 so time not on my side but that's not until 29th. I'll have driven myself insane by then if AF hasn't arrived. My cervix is same as you it's been high and soft the past week so much so I can barely reach it and like you said mine is always super low before af......not that I started checking until reading these threads 😬

SkaterChick · 14/01/2025 17:03

All I can think is that I've skipped a period and ovulated again
And the test must have been a false positive.

OP posts:
SkaterChick · 15/01/2025 18:13

Cd45 and still no period!

OP posts:
Tcsha · 15/01/2025 18:20

You may have ovulated late. I had this, my period didn’t come for 2.5 months!

Also, it’s probably not the case for you, but my friend had this when she went through perimenopause at 34, could that be possible?

SkaterChick · 15/01/2025 18:42

I also had an opk peak in Dec. So who knows!

I'm 34 so I guess it's possible but I don't have other symptoms of peri menopause.

OP posts:
Miracledust29 · 16/01/2025 13:21

I'm 35 and perimenopause scares the hell out of me 😩 cd41 still nothing. Thought I saw a shadow line on a test today but so hard to tell that I wouldn't accept it as positive so have to wait longer.
Have you had any cramping? I had such bad cramping 26/27th Dec when I got my positive clear blue opk so was convinced I ovulated then but then I had the same cramping (like af cramps) 2 days ago all day which is so bizarre they died down but I've just had twinges now and again. I had a laparoscopy last year so I know mines not endo. My periods have never been an easy ride ever since I started so I always knew TTC would probably take some time so praying I've not left it too late.

I had surgery almost a year ago to remove a lost contraceptive coil.
They said I have no endo or pcos, no fibroids and no scarring and everything looks all good.
Periods continued like clockwork for another few months till augustish.

It's so weird I had that properly positive test and nothing since.
I expected it to be a chemicals and Mt period to show up but nothing 😅

OP posts:
Miracledust29 · 16/01/2025 17:34

So you're like me you know there's nothing else sinister wrong. I forgot you had the bfp that one time 🤔 so strange as it's not even faint. I mean I've had a chemical but mine was followed by very light pink to heavy bleeding within 2 hours for a week but who knows perhaps maybe you don't always have bleeding. It's a minefield isn't it 🤯
Maybe book a doctor's appt and explain about your positive test, lack of period and they may do a blood test just to rule out anything.
