I get a scan in about 4 weeks so I'll just wait. As I said to Diege last night I can spend the £70 I would've spend on a scan on shoes and baby clothes.

It will be fine, and without making it sound worse as this goes for everyone, even if something went wrong it isn't because you had/didn't have a symptom.

Bit random but this morning while I was brushing my teeth my gums started to bleed in three places - and in the middle of the gum - not the top or bottom. It was quite painful and has never happened before. Now, googled it and what comes up but bleeding gums can be a sign of pregnancy! Now, almost certain there is no way I am, but how odd...Maybe it is something to do with hormone levels.....Any thoughts?

NJ - yeah I think that was what it was. It lasted for only two days though. Have only done the deed once, with a condom, and that wasn't around the time of the EWCM.

Well you had a very odd cycle, it would explain the short 'period' especially after a long cycle, and your gums are bleeding.

I'd test just to rule it out, if you absolutely haven't had any sperm near your fanjo, not even a quick dip, or you touching him then touching yourself, then maybe still test and if BFN go to doc's. It might be worth you going anyway, to have only two days of bleeding after a long cycle is a bit odd - certainly not majorly odd, but odd all the same.

Thanks NJ. I am a bit worried now - self-diagnosing through google is not clever and now I'm getting concerned. Was a it surprised by the short period, if I'm honest but we literally have only done it the once with a condom and that was a few days before all the EWCM....oh bugger.....I'm seeing the Dentist on Tuesday, so I will see if he can tell me what might have caused it.

Cosmo, I'd test before you see your dentist, there are something they need to know before they do anything, and pregnancy is one of them.

I don't know whether to egg you on or not, can understand really wanting to be pregnant, but not just yet.

But one thing is for sure, you are much better off knowing one way or the other.....

Don't have a test in the house LL!! Was not expecting to need one until October. Trying to remain sensible and not attribute this to possible pregnancy. Probably just have dodgy gums. Has never happened before though so is rather strange. However, I did floss a lot the other day....could be connected...

Go and get a test, put your mind at rest. If there has been no contact whatsoever with sperm, then you do have very little to worry about.

And at this point you can take whatever the result as a correct one because of the timings.

Just do it really quickly and get it over with, no point stewing!

hi cosmo i had bleeding gums a couple of days ago too!! on 4dpo
today have had abdominal twinges and was freezing earlier
