It is looking good Tink

Think I am getting a cold, feel all bunged up, but strangly my nose is clear (i.e. I can actually breathe easily through it!) though I wish I couldn't because the bungedupness seems to have made smells all yukky and then I feel sick, am thinking the feeling faint yesterday plus the nose/sickness thing must be all part of a bug, I don't want a bug, have spent the last couple of weeks either laid up with migrain or my back, and now something else is going wrong Hope it is gone by next week, DH and I have stuff planned all week.

CosmogirlIsStillWaiting · 01/05/2008 08:40

Morning ladies,

Just a quickie before I dash to work. Happy birthday to your LO Squacky. You are all such good mummies with your balloon blowing etc.. NJ - takeaway does sound good. I haven't had one in yonks. Having a very fat week this week, in fact, I am pretty sure that I have put on weight after coming off the pill. A little depressing since I thought you were meant to lose weight after the pill not gain it. Ho hum, best start doing some exercise I suppose and stop moaning about it!!

Have a good day everyone. The bank hol weekend can't come quick enough for me.

CosmogirlIsStillWaiting · 01/05/2008 08:42

Ooo and pinch punch everyone! Another month closer to those start dates for those of us still waiting!

Playingthewaitinggame · 01/05/2008 10:39

Morning everyone.

Happy Birthday Squack Junior.

Must have been a night for not cooking. Had a meal out with DH at a nice little Italian restuarant. Lovely evening with just the two of us, but I ate a bit much, 3 courses is slightly excessive, well it tasted good .

Yay, another months closer . Only 4 more months to go now .

I also think the shoes are sweet.

NJ, hope the light-headedness was just a one off

Hmm, sure I missed something, but by the time I've read it, got distracted at work and then posted, I've forgotten half of whate I've read.

Diege · 01/05/2008 10:46

Aww, hope your cold is just one of those 24 hours things Nat - can be really draining when you're just getting over other things..
I know the shoes you mean TInks - agree, they are scrummy. I need to get dds new school shoes as winter ones are wrecked. Not sure whether Clarks still do the 'in-between' styles, as don't want heavy winter, or open sandals either...
Mmm, chesse slices Kay - admit I do like them 'raw', nice to nibble on. Hope your day goes OK and that MIL behaves herself. Mone was here last night trying to 'help' as dh is away. Of course I appreciated her picking dds up from childminder etc, but then she also brought without asking loads of shopping for me. Great you might thing, but I'd booked a Tesco shop days ago that also arrived last night . So she's now pee'd off thinking I'm not grateful, but she just assumed I'd not thought about food etc...
Echo Cosmo's sentiments, happy 1st May (my starting month hopefully, just waiting for smear result)and another month closer for those that are managing to hold off!

Diege · 01/05/2008 10:47

Hi Playing, x-posts! Italian meal sounds gorgeous - what did you have??

NatalieJane · 01/05/2008 11:06

It won't be long now till we are off the pimped up wagon The thread is 4/5 months old now, so it is only that again, and I don't know about anyone else but it has bloody whizzed by! How exciting?

I feel OK, head just feels full of 'stuff' IYKWIM? Not very often I have much 'stuff' in my head!!

Diege grrr at MIL, tell her to do it again next week, and the week after, and the week after, then you won't have to pay for shopping all month - MIL's do have their uses! (Well mine doesn't we have done her shopping for her god knows how many times, and I don't think she'd ever bought us so much as a pint of milk back!

OK, am about to open the PayPal Dispute thingymebob about this sodding slide, does this sound OK: "Having bought a "Brand New in it's Box Water Slide" from this seller, and recieving a very dirty, damp and smelly used water slide, we advised the seller imediatly of the poor condition, and the seller agreed that it wasn't new at all. After having sent numourous emails and attempts at contacting the seller via telephone, we have had very little communication from the seller. We really didn't want to have to come through PayPal, but the seller has left us little choice, stalling and offering replacemenet goods which are of no use to us, does not constitute a full refund. We are very happy to have an open and frank discussion with the seller, either via email or by telephone to sort this out, however, we have been trying to do just that for over 3 weeks now, and to be honest, we have just lost all patience and any compassion we had for the seller. If the seller could get back to us, by the weekend (Saturday 3rd May 2008), to send us a full refund, we are willing to drop the PayPal dispute as soon as we have recieved a cleared refund."?? Would normally ask DH, but he is working in the Trafford Centre, so he's not got any signal on either of his phones!

NatalieJane · 01/05/2008 11:07

Also I know I have said 'the seller' 1000's of times, but think if I used her name, it sounds a bit too friendly?! And I don't feel very friendly at the moment!

Playingthewaitinggame · 01/05/2008 11:15

Hi Deige,

I had melzanne alla parmargiana (baked aubergines in yummy tomarto sauce with cheese on top, simple but lovely) followed by Chicken stuffed with cheese wrapped in parma harm with a cream and tarrgon sauce and veggies. Then tiramasu for dessert.

Natalie, maybe you have hay fever? I am stuffed up and my eyes are itchy and stinging a bit, think it must be hay fever. Oh, and your pay pal dispute sounds fari enough to me.

Diege · 01/05/2008 11:17

That's an excellant e-mail Nat . I think you have been more than reasonable, I really do, and I'm sure it will do the trick re; getting a refund wither way. Only prob might be if she empties her paypal account, but fingers crossed it won;t come to that.
Lol at MIL and shopping. Yes, would be a good weeze if I actually liked bakewell tarts, cockaleeky (sp?) soup, fritter-type old peoples things...Oh I am so ungrateful aren't I ...
Off to get my roots done in a minute. dds at school nursery and enjoying a few hours to myself!! OK, so there is the small matter of writing 2 lectures and marking 45 essays, but hey they can wait . I am a strong believer in the law that 'work expands to fill the time avaialble' .

Agree, can't believe how fast the last few months have gone! Esp April which only lasted two weeks I'm sure. Just desperately hoping that my smear comes back ok, otherwise that's my ttc put off for several months if anything like my past history. Having said that, have had normal results for 2 months, so should be positive .
Right, hairdresser's calls! Speak later

Diege · 01/05/2008 11:19

Oh Playing [deep intake of breath] what a wonderful choice of scrummy food (apart from the taragon, bleughh . Oh and titamisu is just about my fave food..

Diege · 01/05/2008 11:19

tiramisu

NatalieJane · 01/05/2008 11:30

PMSL at Titamisu LOL

Don't think its hayfever, never had it before, and haven't got itchy eyes or anything, just blocked up right at the back of my nose/sinuses - lovely!!

Have fun at the hairdresser Diege. Fingers crossed that the smeer results are OK, if the last two have been clear, that is a good sign no?

DS1 had board games after school yesterday (I let him go because he'd been so good yesterday morning) he said they were doing some colouring, and the teacher said they were playing the quiet game (which I am a little bit at, surely the point of any activity like that is that they can talk, and relax a bit? Anyway...) the teacher said "Right now, c'mon let's play the quiet game" DS put his hand up, and when the teacher said "Yes Thomas?" he said "Haha I made you talk while we were playing the quiet game!" LOL Cheeky sod, he said his teacher kept giggling at him Glad she took it as the joke it was intended to be though, I think it could have easily led him into trouble!

nobodyputsBBinthecorner · 01/05/2008 11:32

hey all! just on a early lunch!

poor Nj getting poorly again!

Your thing about fainting worries me, it happens to me 4 out of 5 times so much so that DP has to be with me when i get out of the bath (very) im also constantly tired, do you think ive got CFS, or just eing a bit of a hypocondriac!

happy bday mini squack!

right gotta dash talk to you all this evening if your all hear! x

nobodyputsBBinthecorner · 01/05/2008 11:33

*here x

NatalieJane · 01/05/2008 11:37

If you are worried BB, go to the docs. CFS/ME is much more than constantly tired and feeling faint. You could be low in iron, or have a virus, or anything really!

Playingthewaitinggame · 01/05/2008 11:43

Yeah BB, NJ is right, I am the CFS/ME/PVFS/CFIDS (how may acromyns can one condition have ) expert, and yes you would have more symptoms. Would be worth talking to gp though, could be something else causing it?

Playingthewaitinggame · 01/05/2008 11:44

If you really interested I'll list em all but that might do more harm then good!

NatalieJane · 01/05/2008 11:46

Even too much stress can cause those symptoms.

Also if you often feel faint after getting out of the bath, don't have the water too hot, and get up very slowly. You might find the way you lay in the bath, is stopping your circulation somewhere along your back/legs, so when you stand up out of hot water, hit the colder air, blood rushing everywhere, it's enough to make anyone feel faint!

nobodyputsBBinthecorner · 01/05/2008 12:01

lol i thought as much! im a natural worrier, its probably more to do with my anemia!

tinkhasovulated · 01/05/2008 12:06

hi to other ladies

NatalieJane · 01/05/2008 12:43

BB, how long have you anemic? If you have been on iron tablets for a while and they don't make any difference go back to your GP.

Thanks Tink, fingers crossed it will be the boot up the arse needs to refund us!

nobodyputsBBinthecorner · 01/05/2008 12:48

have been anemic on and off for almost two years now, the gp isnt much use about it, he has said because its not consistent i am to buy iron tablets and take them "when i feel worse" ....not much help really

NatalieJane · 01/05/2008 12:50

Go see the nurse, or a different doctor.

Don't forget you need to be in tip top shape to TTC, don't let one grumpy-arsed GP ruin it.

kayzisexpecting · 01/05/2008 13:24

Hello!!

I cant have Tiramisu Its so unfair. I'm making DH make one as soon as I have this baby.

Work is pants, MIL was ok this morning. My feet are killing me. I so wish I didnt have to stand up all day.

The doctors thought my brother had CFS when he was younger but I think it was just anemia(sp). It worried the hell out of mum and dad though for a while.

Hope everyone is ok. I have only skimmed the thread.
