Can I join please? Ttc baby no.3 after what I think was a chemical in August. Hospital never called it a chemical but it was an early loss that I passed naturally myself so I think it was a chemical. Im 6dpo first month back trying and I didnt ttc last month

Northernsoul90 · 11/10/2024 10:19

I can also see faint lines @Carportforme Fingers crossed for you 🤞🤞

Hi @ThatSnugSwan sorry to hear about your chemical 💐. I'm currently on cycle 4 after chemical in June... I've just got my surge on OPK yesterday so hopefully I think I should be ovulating today. Wishing you lots of luck this cycle x

Yes, you are welcome to join us. Although it is not a good girl's club, everyone here is super supportive and we comfort each other and provide advice. I am sorry for your loss. This year I too had an early loss at 6 weeks and 1 day and a chemical pregnancy at 4 weeks and 6 days so I understand what you are going through. After starting the previous thread, I am confident to say that I will be able to help you in terms of providing useful information if you have any questions about TTC after MCs. x

Thank you so much. It was the first loss Ive had so emotionally very tough for me. My cycle seems to have returned to normal in September and I used some ovulation sticks this month so Im keeping everything crossed but I am so aware it may take time. I think mumsnet is a great place because Im not openly talking to friends or family about this

Sorry to hear about your Chemical. So horrendous and sadly common 😫

Carportforme · 11/10/2024 12:28

Bit depressed today to be honest. Did another cheapy. Think it might be very slightly darker than yesterday but 13/14 dpo and really faint still. I also have a pink discharge this morning. Not sure if it’s post implantation or AF starting. Colleague just announced her shock and unwanted pregnancy. I nearly cried! I still have no symptoms whatsoever either. Test today believe. Will update when I know x

I believe you had also never been aware of chemical pregnancy until this happened. I experienced the first early loss in March and waited for a cycle to recover then got my second BFP in April. Unfortunately I didn't know I was experiencing chemical pregnancy so I was devastated to see the the line growing fainter. I am also like you, mumsnet is the only place I can talk to people about my MCs and ttc journey because they understand me. So far my husband and one of his friends know about my MCs (He told this friend about it just a week ago because I gave him a green light and also she lives so far away). I still don't feel comfortable to share it with friends and relatives/families. Perhaps one day I will be honest with them.
The ovulation sticks are good. I also used BBT and the app to determine if the test line was darker than the control line.

@LucyCL Yes I was unaware about it and had no idea about anything to do with a loss. I felt so shocked it happened after two healthy pregnancys and beleive me its made me so so grateful for what I have but the longing is still there to complete our family. Its a tough subject and Im amazed how common it is sadly. Sorry for your losses 🤍

Wow, unwanted pregnancy announcement is definitely triggering. I assume your colleague didn't know what you had experienced. Usually people will be more considerate when you kindly tell them not to use any sensitive words which could be emotionally triggering. However I totally understand you haven't told anyone or still don't want to tell anyone about it because I also haven't told anyone about my ttc journey and MCs. It is annoying that you cannot avoid hearing any pregnancy announcement or seeing pregnant women on the streets. I am sorry that you had to experience this again. Because you just got your super super fainter line last night, it does make sense that this morning you still got faint line. HCG doubles every 48 - 72 hours so please be more patient. The first week after the day when I got the second BFP I also didn't have symptoms. Plus everyone's body functions differently and please don't worry about it for now. I also know that you will be anxious and scared to test if the line gets darker. It is going to be an exhausting week for you but please trust your body and try to do something you enjoy in the meanwhile. Sending lots of love to you!

Thank you LucyCL. I am just hoping the pink spotting is post implantation. I have a digital on the way so I will see how that goes tomorrow x

To be honest, the first two BFPs I got ended up in early losses and it has definitely affected my confidence about my body being able to carry a full term viable pregnancy. I am very happy that you had two successful pregnancies before and just let you know chemical pregnancy doesn't affect your fertility and the next pregnancy. 💜

@Carportforme Sending lots of best wishes and positive vibes your way, it's so hard to wait to test when you just want a definitive answer. 🤞 It was implantation related, at least with a digital there is no deciphering lines!

I totally relate to the pregnancy announcement, it can be really triggering. I have several friends pregnant atm and due around the time I would have been and whilst I am obviously happy for them I must admit I find it hard at times to not compare and feel a certain way.

@LucyCL That was exactly how I felt after losing my first pregnancy in June 2020 which was a MMC at 9 weeks. I felt like I would never carry a baby to term. I did though and had my daughter in Sep 2021 but it's really difficult to get out of that mindset, it really knocked me and my confidence in my body. I then had the chemical in June this year which I naively didn't think would happen again for some reason after already having had a miscarriage. It really is so common and sadly not spoken about enough, which is why these forums are so important imo xx

Hi could I join aswell please! I had a chemical last cycle, I found out at 11 dpo, started bleeding at 16 dpo which was 10th September. I usually have a 32 ish day cycle so should have been due my period around now but I was tracking ovulation and didn't actually ovulate til CD 25!! So think the hormones must have thrown my cycle right off. I'm pretty sure I'm only 6 dpo right now. No symptoms so far but 🤞🤞🤞

Carportforme · 12/10/2024 10:52

Morning all, tentative good news from me today. Think I am about 14 dpo but wondering if I may have surged and then surged again a few days later without realising. Had pink spotting yesterday and thinking that 14 dpo is well outside the implantation window which is why I think ovulation may have occurred slightly later than I thought. Anyway, sore boobs today…

Hi everyone!

I hope you don’t mind me joining here <3 I had either false positives (blue dye tests so maybe evap lines), or a chemical pregnancy back in April. My husband and I were so excited, and I told my mum etc, then AF came about a week later, we were devastated.

My cycles are really irregular and I am currently having tests done for possible PCOS (as both of my sisters have PCOS and uterus didelphys and I’ve always had weird cycles and other symptoms). Amazingly, I’ve had positive tests (quite faint but getting a little bit stronger each day) over the last few days (11dpo,12dpo, and today which is 13dpo) on red dye tests.

However after getting excited early and being absolutely crushed earlier on in the year, I’m trying to hold back on getting too excited. I was wondering if any of you know at what dpo roughly the chance of a chemical pregnancy reduces? I’m trying to work out if there’s a certain day where I can start to get excited without getting crushed again, should I wait until I get a dye stealer? Or am I being overly cautious?

Tentative congratulations. When I had a chemical, I barely got past the 'expected period date' before I bled, think it was 16dpo, so I would be 2 days past my period date.
I think if there's progression past 1 week late, then that generally is a good sign. Some girls will do digital and feel more calmer once they see 3+ weeks. Or even 1-2 weeks, going to 2-3.
Your line progression looks good though. Wishing you best of luck!

Thank you for the input I really appreciate it <3 last time I didn’t have any line progression at all so I’m feeling cautiously hopeful :) think I will wait until next weekend (20dpo) maybe before celebrating just in case

@OchreBird I have decided not to test any more at all. When I had my Chemical I was testing every two days and my tests were getting darker. I got to the last day I was going to test, as i was going to be exactly 5 weeks on the following day, and the test was suddenly stark white not a shadow to be seen. It didnt even stop progressing or fade, i started bleeding the following day.
Testing is just stressing me out. I saypw decent progression between 12 and 14 dpo and I'm going to leave it there. I am finding that I am already getting realky anxious, even though the symptoms are setting in!
I think they call it a Chemical up go five weeks loss because it is too small yo be viewed on ultrasound. After that it can be seen with an internal ultrasound and they therefore seem the pregnancy clinical.
Everything crossed for us all x
