Yes, its that time of the month, save your sanity (and the cash) by waiting as long as possible.

YouNeverKnow · 01/05/2008 21:58

YouNeverKnow · 02/05/2008 06:38

Still no af today :-(. I'm baffled well and truly

LenniEd · 02/05/2008 20:42

Hi all,

That time of the month again! AF due next Saturday - have managed half the 2WW without thinking about it (too much ) - need some help for the last 7 days...

How's everyone else doing? Right, I'll go back a few pages now and have a read...

tsom · 02/05/2008 21:41

Hello fellow stick-wetters - had a faint positive with CB - more obvious when it had been standing for a while and then 2 negatives with first response. Was 2 days and 1 day before AF due (if cycle 28 days, sometimes late).
Anyone else had a false positive test - I know it says to disregard changes in test after first 10 minutes but can't help hoping - although don't feel pregnant.

OracleInaCoracle · 02/05/2008 21:42

afraid you should definately disregard any tests past 10 mins. sorry. when is your period due?

Meeely2 · 02/05/2008 21:50

AF due Sunday, have pack of 8 remaining early detection tests upstairs, help me to NOT test in the morning.....and wait til Monday at the earliest

OracleInaCoracle · 02/05/2008 21:51

meeley, do NOT test. those tests arent great and you will save yourself a lot of heartache if bfn, and if bfp.. whats a few more days? RESIST!

OP posts:
Meeely2 · 02/05/2008 21:53

these are the simple strip ones off ebay - look like the ones the doc would use if you rolled up thinking you were pregs (only cost 49p for 10) - single sachet, have to wee in a pot then dip stick.....should i bin em and get the £11 for 2 ones?

OracleInaCoracle · 02/05/2008 21:55

i would tbh, those tests are ok if you are a compulsive stickwetter, but if you want an answer they arent that accurate. get a 2 pack from tesco instead, £3 for 2.

OP posts:
OracleInaCoracle · 02/05/2008 21:55

and they are fine for the day your period is due.

OP posts:
Meeely2 · 02/05/2008 21:58

thanks for the advice! will send dh on a preg test mission while i am away at my folks! last time we used boots own and got a BFP straight way, but i was late, we weren't trying and it was twins!

tsom · 02/05/2008 22:03

AF due today - not arrived yet but flat boobs suggest no pregnancy, not going to test again as agree is too depressing to have bfn and then still have to wait for AF.

OracleInaCoracle · 03/05/2008 14:54

you know meeely, i absolutely hate those tests that claim to be accurate from 4-5d before your period is due. the odds of getting an accurate result arent great, they make a fortune out of women like us, who are desperate for a/another baby.

tsom, its not over yet! every pg is different. BUT if af does arrive then buy a bottle of vodka wine with the money that you have saved.

YouNeverKnow · 03/05/2008 21:41

I tested again today as still nothing but another -ve

OracleInaCoracle · 03/05/2008 21:42

right, gp on tuesday then for you m'lady!

OP posts:
YouNeverKnow · 03/05/2008 22:19

my boobs have whats like colostrum in them could that be whats left from 8months ago when dd2 was born? not noticed it til now!?
gggggggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr lol

OracleInaCoracle · 03/05/2008 22:28

you really need to get checked over, breasts with milk in at this stage is not normal. i have had 7 mcs at between 4.5w and 8w and have never had colstrum leakage.

OP posts:
funbags · 03/05/2008 22:53

re boob thing - i still have a bit of colostrum looking stuff in my boobs, only comes out if i give them a squeeze - stopped BFing last August after doing it for 15 months. HV said nothing to worry about, but if its troubling you then ask!

KaSo · 03/05/2008 22:59

I'm on CD31, AF was due yesterday and I've stupidly pee'd on the cheapie sticks and got a BFN. Thing is, I have no idea how long my LP is , or when I ov'd so I don't know when to test. I think the Bank Holiday is my friend as it'll stop me running to Boots for a decent test until Tuesday by which time Af might already have arrived.
