bellie - that's fantastic news! I am so relieved for you . Are you going to relax a bit now??? Will you have to wait til 12 weeks for your next scan then? very happy for you x

MJIM - you must not worry about putting on weight!!!! You are tiny anyway! I don't think it's good not to eat much - you should try to keep to your normal healthy diet (which it sounds like you have normally!). You will soon lose any weight once baby is born running round after 2! Sorry also about the nipple....mine are killing so I do sympathise (it's one of my few pg symtpoms!)

Waves to everyone else

Bellie · 07/06/2008 10:11

Yes I will try to relax a bit now. Next appointment is my booking in appointment with the midwife on 7/7 - I will be 10+4 and then scan at 12+4. It seems really odd to have to go to the hospital for everything as last time I had the most wonderful midwife at my old surgery and then saw the doctor too. This time it seems that I see the 'team' of midwifes at the hospital only adn no mention of seeing the gp.

My nipples are still killing me too - that is my major symptom and nauseous in the evenings.

MJIM - don't worry about putting on weight - it sounds as though you are eating healthily so the weight is probably normal gain at your point of pregnancy.

Hope everyone enjoying the sunshine!

Hi everyone!

Bellie - so glad everything was good - it must be such a relief for you and how lovely to see the beanie so early

MJIM - OUCH! That sounds very very painful - I never go braless, even if wearing my PJ's otherwise they would be ot of control

Willmouse - what happened with the shoes? Did they really just buy DS1 a pair? I can't imagine any gp's would do that??

Hi to everyone else

Well am 15 + 3 today and it seems like I have been pg forever! I can't believe how slowly time is dragging with it!! I have a definite bump which starts quite high up under my boobs (nowhere near as neat as MJIM's and HM2J)! Have still not felt any real movement - a couple of flickers but not for a while. I felt them about 19 weeks with DS so expected to feel something by now with this one

Right off to have a shower - just been to aerobics and am v sweaty! One of my midwives was in the changing room at the gym afterwards so I had to avoid her so she wouldn't see how sweaty I was and start lecturing me about taking it easy

Have a good weekend x

majormoo · 07/06/2008 13:13

Hi All
Bellie that is great news. What is your due date after the scan?

MJIM ouch to the nipple injury. I am sure your weight gain is normal and you will lose it afterwards anyway. Glad your garden is looking good-DH is out in ours trying to prune the wild bushes back.

DS is asleep and DD watching 'Tom and Jerry', though I know I should be doing something more constructive with her. Her lip is much better thank goodness.

Ceebee I have a bump too already (as confirmed by my tactful friend) and will be 14 weeks tomorrow. Thing is with the other two my bump barely showed til 20 weeks so no idea why everything is all hanging out this time. Must be the fact that everything is stretched from before.

We told DD yesterday. She was lovely and even said she didn't mind if it was a boy or a girl which surprised me. This was earlier than we had originally planned to tell her, but I was getting so stressed about someone mentioning it at the school gates in front of her, that we decided to just tell her. Have to pray everything goes smoothly now.

majormoo · 07/06/2008 13:13

well of course we were praying for it to go smoothly anyway, but now have an additional reason!

Bellie · 07/06/2008 16:43

Ok well the sunshine has gone here too now!

ceebee - very impressed that you are still going to aerobics.

My due date is 29 Jan but I reckon beginning of Feb just because mentally it seems further away from Christmas!! . We are not planning to tell dd until after the 12 week scan, although I am sure that she knows that something is up as I am falling asleep all the time !

morning ladies

pmsl at the 'out of control' boobs....I wish! I am seriously looking forward to them getting bigger...soon hopefully! LOL (Hope MJIM's nipple is better )

Yesterday we went to visit DP's cousin with the newborn (well 3 months old now!) and he was lovely....awwww. Was great to see him cuddling him - thought it suited him a lot! Thank god!

Glad your dd was sweet majormoo - bet she will be kissing your bump etc very soon.

Hoping today is sunny as we are planning on going to the car boot sale then a nice long hike/walk...I don't seem to be feeling as tired at the moment but I have been getting about 11 hours a night so that might have something to do with it!

MJIM - we will definitely keep you in check!!!! Were you a worrier with ds? You said you lost your last pg weight quickly, is there a reason you feel differently this time? We will be your personal nutritionists and keep you sane!

Bellie - I don't have any dates yet - the doctor said the midwife will ring me! I am officially 6 weeks today! (yey!)....wishing we hadn't found out sooooo early now! It feels like we have known for ages!

ceebee and majormoo - we def need piccies of your bumps on here! Would be nice to see how different they can be. Very exciting!

Your gardens sound great (esp HC!). You must spend hours doing it!

ceebee - how energetic are you!?!?! Is it ok to do stuff like that? I am supposed to be going on an outwardbound day with work in 1 month. DP has told me he doesn't want me to go, just in case, as the mountian biking will be very bumpy and also my canoe may capsize! I'm not going to go obviously, don't want to worry him or take any unnecceasry risks, but would you guys go or not?

Have a fab day everyone xx

MrsPuddleduck · 08/06/2008 10:31

Hello all.

Having a great weekend here. I REALLY enjoyed the paediatric first aid course! And today it is sunny so we're off out to the pub for lunch as we can walk there!

The shoe outcome was really funny. There were no Doodles in his size so they ended up buying him a nice pair of sandals for his holiday LOL! All is forgiven! Willmouse saves herself the cost of a pair of shoes . I think my parents spoil DS1 more as they have looked after him an awful lot - they still have him on Fridays even though I don't work and I just have the day on my own with DS2. I think they think that DS2 has had a lot of attention because of his reflux etc so in their own way have tried to compensate. I have told them that they will have to stop it all soon when DS2 realises he's missing out. I don't really mind at the moment. DS2 is so gorgeus and adorable he gets away with blue murder!

Which reminds me that I forgot to tell you all that DS2 has now 'officially' grown out of his medication and no longer has reflux. HOORAY!!!

MJIM - don't worry about your weight! You could have more waters and don't forget your boobs will be weighing you down as well - it wont all be fat!

Bellie - glad the scan went well! Hopefully you can start to enjoy the pregnancy a little more now!

CE - get you with all of the babies - are you stalking new mothers LOL!

Majormoo - glad you told your daughter and that she is so pleased.

Ceebee - don't go too mad with the exercise woman!

HC - are you OK???

Hi to everyone else!

ceebee74 · 08/06/2008 16:47

Just a quickie - will post a photo of my bump tonight but it is huge considering I am only 15+3

CE - personally I wouldn't go on an outward bound day - midwife said it was absolutely fine to continue doing stuff that you have already done (which is why I still go to aerobics) but I think mountain biking and canoeing is a completely different kettle of fish (mind you I absolutely hate those kind of things so would use any excuse to get out of it

x

soosy · 08/06/2008 21:08

You have all been busy this weekend, we went househunting (rental) on Saturday which is ok, but I think I have to see if there is anything else first. I had some more spotting on saturday morning so am feeling not very optimistic about the outcome of this cycle. AF due Wednesday or Thursday.

HC sounds as though the sun isn't shining where you are, hope you had a better sunday.

I wouldn't go mountain biking either, pregnant or not!

Majormoo. glad your DD is pleased about the new baby, just don't let her name it! a friend has asked her daughter what she would like to call the baby and the names are hilarious!

MJIM, no more nipple jamming now, they have a higher purpose!

Bellie, glad to hear beanie all well, take it easy for a few weeks.

Hello to everyone I have missed.

Sx

HumphreysCorner · 08/06/2008 21:49

Aw soosy, so sorry about the spotting. Take it easy.

ceebee-are you mad doing exercise??? I hate any type and being PG is a great excuse to avoid it. Good on you though.

We have had a beeyootiful sunny day today so had a Bar B Q instead of struggling with Sunday Tea. Put my £1-60 Tesco bikini on and actually sat on my sun lounger and read my magazine. Looks like DD2 might have chicken pox-really need to take her to the Dr as not 100% sure. Trouble is I am expecting 2 parcels tomorrow and would hate to miss them.

MJIM-hope your poor nipples have recovered. [ouch emoticon].

majormoo-can't remember telling DD1 about DD2. She was very excited and wanted her to come out very soon so she could play. When she was born DD1 was most disappointed to find she wasn't able to play with her immediately-lol!

Had a very light line on my OPK last night so hoping it will be darker tonight then it will mean OV on CD 12 again. Have booked DH for Monday and Tuesday night (his B'Day is Tuesday). He has had to save the men up since Thursday-has to be at least 2 days but no longer than a week.

The sun has made me quite tired so will be turning in soon.

Waves to everyone else. BTW, the thread is filling up again.

Right ladies, a photo of my bump is on my profile now - please be kind about it as, compared to MJIM and HM2J's at this stage, it is HUGE!! In my defence, I was nowhere near this big with DS and was still wearing my normal clothes at 20 weeks so am blaming the 'second child syndrome' (and yes, I know MJIM and HM2J have also had other children!)

x

HumphreysCorner · 08/06/2008 22:14

Lovely ceebee, not huge at all-can't wait to post some pics. Bearing in mind I have always been stones overweight and nobody could tell I was actually PG. If I do get PG I will show immediately-well, more than likely (if I stop stuffing my face with icecream )

Night

Hi everyone!

Sorry, I am not even trying to keep up, my bad . All I seem to be able to think about is my scan on Thursday. I can barely keep a thought in my head apart from that. The boys aren't helping, ds1 reminds me every single morning of how many days are left. At least it is taking my mind off turning 30...on FRIDAY .

Soosy, how are things with you. I have managed to keep thinking of you and keeping everything crossed. I am sorry about the spotting, but it could be implantation spotting (I WILL be optomistic!)

Bellie, good news that baby is in the right place and has a heartbeat. Try and relax and enjoy now (quite sage advice coming from worry wort me, lol!)

Hope everyone else is well. Off to enjoy some sunshine, after slathering the kids in suncream. May get the paddling pool out and have a laugh seeing if I can squish myself into last years tankini, rofl!

MJIM: Sorry to hear you throat is still sore. Seems you have had more than your fair share of cold type bugs this pregnancy. Enjoy the party tonight!

Right, I feel bad as I haven't posted much recently and now I need advice, lol!

My lovely, but rather aggrivating dh bought tickets for the 2 of us to go and see a comedy show in Wolverhampton on Saturday evening as part of my birthday gift. The tickets were bought back in April. He had plenty of time to arrange a babysitter and this weekend, I asked him if it was arranged. He looked pretty horrified, said he forgot. Now we are in a pickle, as the people we usually use for babysitting at busy. The inlaws are going away tomorrow for a week and my mother is at a work conference on Saturday in Birmingham. We used to use my Nan too but she now has alzheimers and is a danger to herself, never mind others. There isn't anyone else we would trust enough to leave the kids with, or that they would stay with.

What would you do? Would you go on your own? Would you try and find someone else to go with you? Would you sell the tickets and try and find something else to do/go to together in a few weeks?

I am very sad about the whole thing as dh & I almost NEVER go anywhere together. Now I am not complaining as I knew that when I had children that I would be making sacrifices and I wanted to be the one to bring up my children, the one putting them to bed everynight (Not that there is anything wrong with using babysitters and going out as a couple if that is what you are comfortable with). Dh & I are happy to wait our turn, until the kids are bigger. However, this would most likely have been the last time we would be spending quality couple time for a loooong while, lol! I really wanted us to be together, so am sorely tempted to sell the tickets quickly, or even freecycle them and cut out losses. My hormonal mind is all over the place. What would you do?

MrsPuddleduck · 09/06/2008 13:58

Can you not think of anyone at all who can babysit for you....such as a friend?

Me and my friends never babysit for eachothter (for no particular reason) but if one of them came to me in such circumstances I would be happy to do it for them.

The only other thing I would suggest is that you find a friend to go with you instead - afterall it is your birthday present and he has had since April to make some arrangements...... hope that helps.

Feeling icky today, think its the heat!

Off to sit in the garden though LOL......

HumphreysCorner · 09/06/2008 14:46

MJIM-hope you feel a tad better soon.

Heartmum-personally I wouldn't want to go on my own so would cut my losses and throw out tickets. Hope you get sorted.

willmouse-steady on in that there heat if you feel icky.

Had the brightest red OPK line last night.

Have waited in all day for some parcels and now have to get DD1 from school then it is off to mum and dad's. Typical that they will come when I am out!

Waves to everyone else!

Bellie · 09/06/2008 15:03

MJIM - hope the throat is better soon.

HM2J - what a shame about babysitters. Have you thought of registering with one of the agencies? Or one of the ladies at nursery? If not I would try and return the tickets or sell them and go another time. Hope the scan goes well.

HC - guess you won't be on here tonight then . How is DD2 today? Did you take her to the doc's?

Soosy - still keeping my fingers crossed for you - it could be implantantion bleeding. Hope you find somewhere to live soon.

Willmouse - lazing in the sun sounds like a great idea! Wish I had the time this afternoon, but it is dd's swimming lesson.

Ceebee - you bump looks very petite! (Well compared to my 6.5 week tum!!)

CE - hope you are feeling ok. I wouldn't go on an outward bounds weekend, but then it's not my thing really! Can you not support from the sidelines?

Hope everyone else is enjoying the sunshine.
Saw my best friend today with a 3 day old - she was adorable and made me want to reach Jan even quicker!

ChocolateEclair · 09/06/2008 17:53

well ceebee I think your bumpy looks great! I would be very happy if I looked anywhere close to you! Be proud!

HM2J - Surely you could ask a friend? Another mum? I would be VERY loath to get rid of the tickets especailly as you say it will be your lsat bit of time before you get another new arrival! Good luck for scan and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! for Friday!!!! It's great being 30 actually - I don't know what I was so worried about!

Soosy - still got everything crossed for you xxx

Willmouse and MJIM - sorry you are feeling rough. It's rubbish ot being able to take anything isn't it? I had a headache at work and stopped mentioning it after the first 3 people said "oh I've got some neurofen you can have!" and me politely saying err...no thanks!

HC - I don't want to see you on here tonight!!!! Get BDing with your 'booked in' husband!!!!!

Bellie - how are you feeling? Apart from the boobs do you have any symptoms? I don't even feel pg this week!

Lovely sunny day here, kids totally don't want to be in school! Nightmare!(Was wishing I taught PE!). Thanks for all your thoughts about the putward bound day. I had 99% decided not to go anyway, but now am 100% so cheers. It's not the sort of thing you can just watch, you have to get from A to B with the kids. Someone else can have a turn and I will go to the Railway Museum not too much can happen to me there!
