Wow, you lot have been chatty! I need to stop dropping by every few days as I can never catch up or remember what was said.

HC, sorry to hear about your hols, everythign sounds like a bit of a mare, I hope things work out with your dh's work.

Willmouse, glad you survived the first day. Good luck tonight!

Junaitad, great piccies!

CE, yes, it was me that had/has the doppler. I thought I heard the heartbeat for the first time at 9+3, but at the scan I meausred 5 days ahead, so it might have been 10+1, lol! They are hard to find at that age and STILL hard to find at almost 19 weeks, but for different reasons, lol!

Bellie, I would have slapped my hubby had he refused to go and fetch something I was craving, no matter how pregnant I was. As it is, I don't really have any cravings, never have

I'm waiting patiently for the Tesco man to come and deliver my shopping. I manage to forget something major ever week, lol! I really only want the cloudy lemeonade and magnums, lol, my fad of the moment (but I wouldn't call it a craving as I can live without them, lol!)

MrsPuddleduck · 03/06/2008 11:20

Sado alert!

Just spent half an hour writing a script of what to say to BIL (to limit chances of causing offence), did 10 circuits of the house doing heavy breathing, phoned him up and.......he's out at court

My nerves are in tatters.

Where's HC - I need someone to remind me that there is no reason to feel guitly.

Mandy73 · 03/06/2008 11:37

Willmouse, I would have done exactly the same - thinking of you! Don't feel guilty.

What's the 2ww? The two week wait?

HM2J, Hope you get your Magnums soon.... mmm...

MrsPuddleduck · 03/06/2008 11:45

PMSL - I have just realised that H2MJ - is waiting for Magnum ice creams. When I read it I thought it said Magners - I thought you were craving cider during pregnancy!!

Heartmum2Jamie · 03/06/2008 12:07

PMSL Willmouse, I will share the magners with you, sounds like you have had a tough morning, lol! Was well impressed with Tesco today, arrived 20 minutes before the start of the delivery slot. Unfortunately, the thing I forgot to order this week, blardy cloudy lemonade .

Guess what???!!!!!

The flippin' OB/fetal medical centre saga finally comes to a close!! Not without a hiccup though. I called Birmingham yesterday, still no referal, so called the OB's secretary back, as she was back from her annual leave and told her to fax it, which she did while I was on the phone. Letter arrived from the fetal medical centre this morning, offering me a scan for 27th June! Sounds great right??? We don't return from our hols until 28th June . Thankfully I could rearrange without too much longer to wait, now have an appt for 1st July (fil's birthday, not sure if that is a good sign or not, lol!) and I will be a day shy of 23 weeks. I've just called dh, but because it is less than 5 weeks from now, his schedule is already full and he can't come with me . I am sure everything will be fine, apart from being a very long day as the appt is at 2.30 and the hospital is further away from me than Birmimgham children's is and I don't even know how to get there, lol! Still, mustn't grumble! I am sure if anything major is wrong it will be picked up at my scan next Thursday as they will be taking a good look at the heart for me, not that I think anything is wrong. Power of positive thinking and all that, lol!

Oh well, I can try and relax for now, lol!

HumphreysCorner · 03/06/2008 13:16

Hi all

All gloomfui in the HC household still.

willmouse-make sure you have answers to some possible responses you might get but other than that, say your piece then stay silent. DO NOT FEEL ANY GUILT WHATSOEVER! As we are finding out at the moment that you need to do things to suit yourself and not others all the time. Go girl-rah, rah, rah!

Heartmum-what an absolute nightmare you are having. 23 weeks is quite late but OK.

DD1 back at school tomorrow so a touch of normality but DH back at work too. Obviously only him and his sister know of their dad's plans. Waiting to see how his dad got on at the accountants-perhaps it won't be a viable option.

Must get some lunch ready. Have been ironing for hours and still have some more things in the washer.

Hope all OK and will catch up later.

Just a quickie....I have handed in my notice!!!! Yipee.......

the sound of a great weight dropping of a mouse's shoulders!

ChocolateEclair · 03/06/2008 16:45

Afternoon girls

HC - hope you have recovered from your week from hell! Have to say it didn't sound like much fun at all. I would have been a tad annoyed about having to cook for unexpected guests. (and don't get me started on work/family stuff! That's awful! )
It will be nice to get your dd1 back to school and have a bit of a rest if dd2 will allow it?!?!?!

Willmouse - very proud of you! Well done girl! You must feel SO relieved and can now finally relax. (Apart from running round after 2 ds's!). Glad your first day in 'new' job went well! Also feeling very relieved for you that spotting has stopped

HM2J - sooooo glad it is all finally sorted. Maybe you too can now relax just a tiny bit, apart from obviously wanting the scan to go well of course. Thanks for the info on the doppler...I wish I could hear something already but I know it's far too soon. Will keep trying though for research!!!! Hopefully in 3-4 weeks then! (watch this space!)

Well I feel officially rubbish today . I was almost sick in the car on the way to work (something to do with the heavy rain on windscreen!) and then actually was sick when got to work! I just wanted to come home and go to bed all day! Never mind, it's all good right! I have doctors tomorrow and I think I will be 6 weeks pg on Thursday!

Hi to everyone else - soosy hope you have lots of symptoms!

Bellie · 03/06/2008 19:18

Hee Hee - brought myself Mr Kipling Apple Pies today - they were ...........not as good as the thought of them....! Still the sausage sarnie hit the spot!

CE - I am 6 weeks on Thursday too!! - my gp reckons on a due date of 30th Jan for me based on LMP of 24/4. Hope you are feeling better soon with your sickness. I get a sickie feeling in the evening, but nothing more than that.

Willmouse - that it went well last night and that you have told your BIL. Well done Nothing to feel guilty about.

HC - sorry that still no better - hope the week gets better xx

HM2J - really pleased that you have got your scan sorted, but still that it has taken so long for you. Did you enjoy the magnum (even without the cloudly lemonade ).

Soosy - how are things with you?

Knax hope you are feeling ok - have you been to the doctors yet?

Mandy - hope you are still trying

Belgian - are you still lurking - hope you are ok hang on in there.

Waves to everyone else xx

ChocolateEclair · 03/06/2008 19:29

see now I'm wanting apple pie! can't go to shop due to being in PJ's so might have to have some caramel shortbread instead ....yum yum yum

Hope BB and Angel are ok?????? If you're there?????

HumphreysCorner · 03/06/2008 19:57

Have just been to the chinese for a yummy Sweet and Sour Pork Cantonese and fried rice. Feel very full especially after the choc ice cream and choc buttons. Have pounds to lose before next Monday.

ChocEclair-you need to change your name as it might make you feel more icky.

Bellie-ugh, sausage sarnie.

willmouse-well done girl!

MJIM-are you OK?

soosy-how are you?

Waves to everyone else.

HC sorry you had a c**p holiday, it is the sort of thing my PIL would do too. Glad to hear that the Chinese has helped couple with the choc buttons an ice cream! LOL about CE's name change!

Mandy, there is always tonight with the smiley face, LOL it is the one I used as well. I sometimes used to jokingly ask my DH to wait until I was asleep!!!

Bellie, I used to be so hungry in the evenings when I was pg.

CE sorry about MS, this too shall pass.

Willmouse, Well done handing in notice, glad to hear the new job going well, and that the spotting has stopped finally.

MJIM where are you?

Majormoo how was the scan.

HM2J Glad to hear that you have finally have a date! Well done for standing up to the bureaucrats!

Yes BB where are you? if you are lurking say hello, we would love to hear from you.

Thanks Bellie and HC, the spotting has stopped, it stopped on Sunday, I am still trying not to symptom spot, but am feeling tired, but that may be because I keep waking a four or five in the morning! Can't blame it on DS anymore as it seems his nightmares seem to have gone.

Juanita will look at the photos after posting, I am sure the bump is cute.

Hello to everyone I have missed

Hi all.

Mjim - sounds like you have had a lovely time despite the weather.

Hi to everyone else - for once I am far too busy to do a long post!

I have just started the Special K diet - which is a good job really - I don't have time to eat at the moment (other than my tea which DH kindly re-heats ready for me when I get back from work LOL!)

........

Mandy73 · 04/06/2008 14:43

Myjobismum: >DS has just come and given me a big hug and kiss which was adorable, so think I will go and cuddle him some more

Aaaaw.

Just to ask you oracles:
It's the 48 hrs after getting the OPK smiley face (surge) that's really bcrucial for DBing, right?
Just couldn't manage yesterday, both of us working late and then just crashed.

Does the 2WW mean 'two week wait' (sorry, couldn't find it in the abbreviations section)?

x

HumphreysCorner · 04/06/2008 17:04

Evening all

MJIM-how cute is your DS Conjunctivitis is awful so much sympathy to you.

ChocEclair-hope the sickyness is better today. {{hugs}}

Mandy-yes, after your +ive OPK you have a good 48 hours to go at so get going! 2ww does indeed mean 2 week wait whichb is the longest 2 weeks ever!

One of the mum's at school has confided in me that she is 9 1/2 weeks PG with a surprise baby-she has 3 boys. a) I am chuffed to bits for her b) am delighted she could tell me her secret c) am a tad even though we have only been TTC 1 month. Have told her we are TTC-it was good to be able to tell someone in RL.

Busy, busy willmouse and attempting to diet. I am totally off my diet and drinking far too much wine.

CD7 here so not long until the vital 48 hours.

soosy, Bellie, Knax, Heartmum, ceebee, Angel, juanitad, majormoo et all. Hope all OK.

Bye for now

MJIM - sorry about your dh's birthday picnic - it is so annoying about the weather - and hope your FIL is ok (but a small grr at him for moaning at you). Glad you enjoyed your meal last night though! At least you celebrated 25! DH spent the day on the sofa under the duvet when he was 25 convinced the end of the world was nigh!

Willmouse - sounds like you are still busy! Did you speak to anyone last night? Did it go OK? Hope you are not going to get too tired to bd [sink]

HC - what a lovely person you must be for people to confide in you . Obviously it is tinged with a bit of envy/sadness for you but at least you have someone in RL to talk to about it now too.

Fell asleep on the sofa this afternoon dd playing happily and managed to get about 30 mins before I was rudely awakened by a soft toy being given to me to snuggle with! Am also starting to notice that I start feeling sick at about 4.30pm and the only way to stop feeling awful is to eat ginger nut biscuits!

Not sure how I am going to cope tomorrow - going on the nursery trip to the farm - 14 under 4's! wish me luck as might not be around tomorrow as likely to go to bed at the same time as dd after a full on day!

Wave to everyone else xx

majormoo · 04/06/2008 18:29

MJIM-we often end up having picnics in the car. I reckon they will be memorable for the kids!

My scan was fine yesterday which is a huge relief. I find scans impossibly difficult and it went on for AGES as the baby keep moving when they wanted to get the measurements. Plus at Kings they have two people do the scans-so someone more junior does it first, then the expert. I was gripping my cross for dear life and just praying for it to be over. Still, all looks good. Trisomy 21 odds are 1 in 9600 and Trisomy 13/19 1 in 4300. Obviously you could still be the one, but really pleased.

Soosy really hope your FET has worked.

HM2J good you have a date for the scan.

HC sorry to hear things are tough. I would hate my in-laws to turn up unannounced on my holiday

Willmouse glad job going well

CE hope the sickness improves. About six weeks is when I tend to start feeling rubbish.

Bellie hope the farm trip is OK

Ceebee-i am very excited about the apprentice tonight.

Hi to everyone else

ChocolateEclair · 04/06/2008 18:54

hi to everyone
Majormoo - sooooo glad for you that scan was good. I have not been able to get you off my mind since yesterday. You must be so very relieved. Those odds are tiny but yes, it is a real fear. Hope you can now relax and enjoy your pregnancy.

bellie- sickness and farms don't really go do they? and lots of toddlers? Hmm, good luck! I worked my dates out wrong and the doctor told me I am not 6 weeks til sunday, so you are a little ahead of me! It went OK though, Blood pressure and pulse normal (despite fear of doctors!) and he filled out a form for the midwife to contact me in a few weeks. He kept talking about the 20 week scan, but never mentioned a 12 week one. Is it feasilble that they don't do them here???? Not sure I want to wait til 20 weeks!

MJIM - the birthday sounds lovely, despite the weather being out to get you. It is awful when your plans are ruined isn't it? 25 is still REALLY young! Oh, what I would give to be 25 again! (tell him that)Also, sorry you have conjunctivis that's horrible. Hope your ds and dh don't get it.

HC - that's so nice of your friend to be able to tell you. And now at least you can talk to her. You don't want to tell close family etc as all you get is "any luck yet??" etc which is very annoying! Wine sounds good...build up your enthusiasm for BD days!

willmouse - hope your 2nd day was ok. Diets? Pah! I'm rubbish! I do try to eat healthy, especially no, but I HATE being hungry. Good luck!

Mandy - yeah, I reckon you did well for 48 hours! You can probably have a rest now...(Mandy aka John Wayne!)

hope everyone else is ok, HM2J, soosy, BB, angel, Juanitad etc

soosy · 04/06/2008 20:11

Majormoo, glad everything is looking good! Now you can enjoy your pregnancy.

MJIM sounds like you had a lovely time yesterday your DS is really cute, much cuter than the 2 girls I can hear next door playing their recorders really badly!

Bellie, stay away from the poo! and make sure you wash your hands after touching the animals, as you are pg. You maybe should tell someone at the farm you are pregnant.

Mandy yes 36 - 48 hours after smiley is when you ovulate and the egg lives for another 24 hrs after that, so you have done ok! 2 ww is the longest 2weeks in your life esp with IVF!

I am feeling horrible, my progesterone pessaries (SP)/suppositories are making me feel about four months pg and giving me very painful wind. This of course is no indicator that I am pg I wish that it were. I am also knackered as DH went away on business this am and left at 5am leaving me wide awake! Hope tomorrow better as I feel a little glum.

HumphreysCorner · 04/06/2008 20:49

{{Hugs}} soosy

majormoo-so know how you feel when going for a scan. Sounds very good to me.

Getting ready to watch the Apprentice. Love it!

Mandy73 · 04/06/2008 23:24

Majormoo, so happy your scan was fine.

Bellie, you're a brave woman entering that farm. Channel the mum in The Little House on the Prarie if it gets rough.

Willmouse, you're good to iron! I gave it up I was so rubbish.

HC, thanks! I know what you're saying about the wine... Had glass'o beer for the Apprentice though. I've told a friend too. She's PG #2, DS took 3 years TCC, multiple MCs, so v understanding.

CE, thanks... I'll change my user name to Wayne in a minute.

MJIM, you and DS are both sooo cute!

Soosy, thanks. I can't imagine what the wait must be like on IVF. So sorry you're feeling horrible, hope tomorrow is better. x

HM2J, any magnums left?? Hope you can relax a bit now.

Hmm. So it's 48 + 24... Should have stuck with BD a bit longer in hindsight but hey. Mr Wayne is getting on a bit after all.

Waving to everyone.

MrsPuddleduck · 05/06/2008 09:41

Morning all

Job went well last night. I have now got the hang of cold calling people who have been beaten up !! Also looked after Godson yesterday morning which again, went really well. DH says he is going to buy a Taxi so he can send me out working in the evenings as well

AF turned up yesterday (CD25 - officially my shortest cycle ever!). Let's hope things get back on track next month.

HC - I know what you mean about diets. I am now officially bored with Special K and have only lost 1lb so far this week (well, in the last 3 days so perhaps not too bad). I blame wine entirely for my weight problem. The only real way I am going to lose weight is to cut back or eat less

Bellie - hope you get on OK at the farm. Watch out for the lambs (I hear they are potentially deadly in early pregnancy).

Mandy - hope you're OK cowboy! LOL!

CE - don't worry about 12 week scan. You will DEFINITELY get one!

Soosy, hope you are feeling better today.

Majormoo - I'm glad that the scan went well. You must feel relieved with results like that!

I also love the apprentice. I am quite glad Lucinda went, she was getting on my nerves. Can't wait for the final next week!!!

Anyone going to be watching Big Brother tonight? We gave it up about 3 years ago due to the fact that it ends up consuming your whole summer.....for some reason DH wants to watch it again which is odd because he hates it more than me may just switch on to see which gays and strays go in this time!
