hi all,

Am back from Spain - v v v v tired after 5 long days of being responsible for 40 days. 2 managed to lose their passport which made getting home interesting! But we made it. Not read the thread at all, apart from the very last message which got me v excited! Will now have a good long read through everything I've missed and post again later

juanitad · 26/05/2008 16:39

I mean 40 kids.

Need more sleep

juanitad · 26/05/2008 16:59

Right, have skimmed through the 6 pages I had missed over the last few days and blimey, it has been an eventful time! I was hoping May would be a good month for this thread! 2 BFPs is brill, just amazing! Congrats to Bellie and CE, you both must be over the moooooooooooooooon.

This is now officially the best thread ever....all those other TTC threaders need to get themselves on here, it brings such good luck. I'm sure that good luck will rub off on to the rest of the ladies very soon.

Welcome to knax and mandy, hope this thread helps, it has certainly helped lots of us!

Hi to everyone else, mjim, can't believe 20 weeks is here already! Can't believe I am 15 weeks either! It is starting to feel much more real, even though it isn't obvious yet - none of the kids have worked it out yet, but I guess it's only a matter of time.

Despite being v tired today, I actually had a really good time in Spain. The kids behaved themselves so well and really got into the spirit of it, trying out their Spanish at every opportunity, I felt so proud! Was gutted to miss the Eurovision though, I absolutely love it and always watch it! When I saw how the voting had gone though, I was not impressed! When are the UK ever going to win again? I really like our song too.

Anyway, I have loads of telly to catch up on - Apprentice and Desp H being the most important, so will head off now. Hope everyone is well and happy.

CE/Bellie - do you have due dates yet?

ChocolateEclair · 26/05/2008 17:08

Hi to Juanita and Majormoo!

Glad you are both OK! Spain sounds wonderful and the kids sound great! Majormoo - it must be really annoying when people say that in front of your DD

Willmouse - the party sounds horrible, and just emphasises what a prat your SIL is!

We are just off round to both our parents to tell them our news! (We realise it's far to early but we are close enough to prefer to tell them, even if it goes wrong)

FF estimates my due date at approx 5th February 2009!

I agree about this being the MOST successful ttc thread EVER!!!

HumphreysCorner · 26/05/2008 17:21

Awww thanks myjob - you just made me cry! . (We're not really going to call it Leaf by the way!)

Going to bed shortly as I am soooo tired....not sure if it's the excitement of the day or a pg symptom!

Love to all xxx

Mandy73 · 26/05/2008 22:03

Hi Juanita, Majormoo, Ceebee & Babydrip (+ anyone I may have missed, sorry!) Thanks for making newbies feel so welcome here.

CE, that's amazing news, congratulations!!! Bloody h*ll, this really is one lucky thread huh?

Willmouse, you OK? Your post reminded me of how much I hate my SIL and will do anything to avoid her. She just had her first baby. That's not why I hate her though. It's because she's a sanctimonious tight lying psycho. Sorry, rant over. She has a lovely brother though! I think she just can't stand other women near her brothers.

HumphreysCorner · 26/05/2008 22:08

Off to bed now-if I don't get on tomorrow then I will 'see' you on the 2nd June. Hope to see some more BFP's by then.

Missing you already!

Soosy - sounds promising for you for Friday - will definitely be keeping everything crossed that the frosties succeed!

Juanitad - glad your trip went well although you must be exhausted now! Time to put your feet up now for the whole half-term

Majormoo - we obviously share the same good taste in men - Jose and Sawyer - mmmmmmmm

Willmouse - how's things this morning? Any more bleeding?

HC - have a super holiday and hope the sun comes out for you soon.

Hi to everyone else!

Right work beckons

MrsPuddleduck · 27/05/2008 09:37

Morning all.

I have had no furthe bleeding now since Sunday night so I am going to give the dr a miss (I don't really see the point in going).

Juanitiad - glad you had a nice time in Spain and that they all behaved themselves! The spanish in this house doesn't go futher than Dora the Explorer (and 'dos beers')!!!!

HC - hope you have a great time. Looks like the weather is getting better from Thursday so you've picked the right end of the week to go! LOL at going to the wine wholesalers before holiday - that's the sort of thing DH and I would do!

Mjob- glad to hear you are still well.

Soosy - good luck on Friday.

Mandy- you sound well blessed like me with your SIL - mine is just awful and it does't help that at the moment I am in partnership with her husband (DH's brother - we are both solicitors). That said I am about to give up (yipeeee) so we will be able to greatly reduce the amount of time we spend with them!

Majormoo - LOL at your daughter! How old is she? Southerners !!!!

CE - enjoy your week together with DH sharing your news. Give it a couple of weeks and you will realise what 'sore boobs' is really all about (for me excruciating) and you will feel permanently green at best!!!!!

Which reminds me that I am going to check that I have my CD right I am wondering whether I recorded them correctly due to a complete lack of interest. I will report back later!

MrsPuddleduck · 27/05/2008 09:46

Ok

  1. What day do you count CD1 as? If it is the day I started spotting then I am on CD22 if it is the day it started properly I am on CD18.
  1. I am bleeding again seems to be every other day .

Can't get to the doctors today. DH is at work, I have both boys and have to get there for 10:00 if I want to go to the walk in clinic.

What is wrong with me?????

Mandy73 · 27/05/2008 09:59

Hi Soosy. Good luck on Friday. Im not sure what a follicle is but learning fast... is it like an egg 'blister' you need to grow before IVF attempt?

  1. What day do you count CD1 as? Willmouse, I wonder the same. I've started 'shedding' stuff & spotting 5 days before proper AF. I'm so sorry. If I lived near you I'd come babaysit.

1st day of OV sticks tomorrow but DH has to go away unexpectedly for work/house move during what may be OV. Should I save the sticks for next cycle? Whay would you do? Oh and we still haven't had The Talk.

MrsPuddleduck · 27/05/2008 10:06

Mandy - I would still use the sticks - you never know when you may ovulate and he may get back in time (how long is he away for?).

Thinking of phoning NHS direct.

Mandy73 · 27/05/2008 11:52

Thinking of phoning NHS direct.
Do it.

We probably won't meet CD 12 - 16. But I still want to know if I actually OV - and when?!?

MrsPuddleduck · 27/05/2008 11:55

Just use the sticks Mandy - hey - no-one on this thread needs an excuse to pee on stick! After all, you can always get the cheapie ones next time. Plus I would want to know if I'd ovulated even if I hadn't managed to do the deed!

I am going to phone NHS in a bit. I am trying to exchange contracts for a client - it was supposed to happen all last week and we are finally on for today so daren't pick up the bloody phone

Heartmum2Jamie · 27/05/2008 11:56

Wow, you lots have been chatty!

Am very tired, so am not doing lots of individual mentions except for the ones that stick out.

First, CE!!! Congratulations hon!!! I am thrilled for you, obviously adventurous BD is the way forward, lol!

Willmouse, I'm sorry you are still bleeding on and off. I think calling NHS sounds like a good idea.

HC, sorry to hear about AF.

Good luck for Friday Soosy.

Had a busy day yesterday as was ds1's 7th birthday, so we went out for the day to the reaceway to watch banger racing and destruction derby, lol! Typical boyish thing to do! Weather held up but was very, very windy. Have been having stabbing abdo pain since Saturday, but was definately much worse last night after my busy day. Midwife came around to check all is well, thinks it is most likely muscular, either growing or pulled somehow. Baby sounds good which is the main thing. I feel like I am in a constant state of fear, roll on October I say!

Mandy73 · 27/05/2008 13:11

hey - no-one on this thread needs an excuse to pee on stick!

Hi Mjob! Glad you are well. I always pile the pounds on when pregnant with DS2 I was in my maternity clothes at about 9 weeks - don't worry about it. Could your boobs be bigger this time or you could have more fluid.

I have phoned NHS direct - they were no help at all so I still don't know what to do. I think I will just be sent away again and told to book in for a smear.

Heartmum2Jamie · 27/05/2008 14:37

Good guess MJIM, I'm 18 weeks tomorrow, lol! Big scan is booked for 12th June, so 2 weeks on Thursday. I'm really excited, lol! I didn't want to find out, but hubby & the boys said they HAVE to know . We took a vote and I lost hands down, so we will be finding out if baby feels like sharing. I guess it isn't such a bad thing as one of my boys is going to end up upset as ds1 says girl, ds2 says boy. Oh dear!

As for the weight gain, I am really not the person to be asking as so far haven't gained a thing. I honestly have no appetite and have to force myself to have a little something to eat. I did start wondering if the pain was related to lack of food so have been forcing myself to eat even more, lol.

I did see a great link about pregnancy weight gain somewhere...

Ah, here it is! Makes me laugh that it is called Inian curry

www.indiacurry.com/women/pregcalc.htm

Knax · 27/05/2008 14:50

silly question that someone may know the answer to... Although I'm not using a pg test stick yet because I'm resisting (Like you advised Myjob!), I did just use a persona stick for some reason, as I thought it may test the same hormone?! It had a 2nd fainter line on it and I am hoping that may be a good sign, but as it's not a pg testing kit but an ov testing kit it probably isn't. I know, i know, I'm kidding myself in testing using a non-pg testing kit. It's almost as barmy as peeing on a cotton bud (I haven't done that by the way!)
