Hi Soosy - nice to hear from you (I was just wondering about you this morning actually as we hadn't heard from you for a while!). So sorry you were upset about losing the post....computers are rubbish aren't they!

It must be very hard to hear your ds say things like that. Really really really hoping your Frosties work this month. I sincerely have everything crossed for you

Hope you are OK

MJIm - so glad that everything went well today The photos are fab but you have put me to shame by loading them on already!! Besides, as my hospital charges £4 per photo, it would cost us a fortune to get 12!!!

Soosy - keeping everything crossed for you for the frosties.

Willmouse - please share on here if you feel it would help you in anyway.

Hi to everyone else.

Will try and get the photo of my bump on tonight but DH needs to do some work and I need to watch Lost so it may not happen.

Heartmum2Jamie · 15/05/2008 20:03

Ceebee!!! You can't leave us hanging like this!!

Myjob, yay for your scan!! Sounds excellent and how sweet of your ds to get his own pic. Like Ceebee said, our hospital charges £5 for 3 pics BUT, gave me my 12 week ones for free . Your pics are lovely and I am LOL at your ds's mascara incident

Soosy, I too have everything crossed for your frosties.

CE: I did that too, every month I would calculate my possible EDD, definately normal!

soosy · 15/05/2008 20:04

Thanks CE for your message, did offer DS the chance to live with his friend from school and his brother, sadly he didn't say no! LOL must be evil mother. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you too CE this month.

MJIM Glad to hear all is well with baby, your DS is soo cute!

Ceebee lets see that bump.

Watching House and Grey's anatomy tonight fab, going to cook DH supper....

Sx

HumphreysCorner · 15/05/2008 20:05

MJIM-fab pics. Great that you got so many and different ones too.

ChocEclair-lol, I worked out a due date too (6th Feb). Have always done this as one day it will be a real due date.

congratulations on your scans going well Ceebee and MJIM

soosy good luck for your FET

ceebee74 · 15/05/2008 21:36

Right, just a quickie as I am absolutely shattered and need to go to bed! I have added my scan photo to my profile (plus one of me and DS) although the scan photo is not great as we don't have a scanner so I had to take a photo of the scan and the light reflected on it

ceebee-great to see your pic of bubba. Yup, here in Lincolnshire it is a staggering £4 per pic (well, was in 2006). Probably gone up by now like the horrendous Council Tax.

Got all my patio pots done yesterday and potted 2 cucumbers. Just need to do the tomatoes and hanging baskets. Weather dull today. Hope all OK.

willmouse-you OK today?

soosy-hope this FET is a success. Haven't been to Wales for years, have a lovely, relaxing time.

HC - it was £4 per photo with DS so the price has stayed the same here!

Heartmum2Jamie · 16/05/2008 13:24

Awww Ceebee, just looks at that little babe! Very cute! Is it more realy now?!

HC, well done on getting so much done! It's bloomin' rainnig here, so no work in the garden for me, but at least I don't have to water everything tonight.

MrsPuddleduck · 16/05/2008 13:50

Hi all.

I am lurking!

Love all the photos!

ChocolateEclair · 16/05/2008 16:46

Ceebee fab piccie!

Willmouse - getting a little worried about you. Hope you are OK. You know we are all here if you want to share

Also I was wondering where BB and majormoo are. Haven't heard from them for a while have we?

IT'S FRIDAY!!!!! yey!

I have just spoken to my sister, and we are trying to arrange camping in Wales with her and the 2 dc (3.5 and 5.5) at half term. Good practice for DP and I!!!!! I can't wait actually, they are great kids and I only get to see them every once in a while .

FF has now decided that I didn't ov on CD17 but CD19! Oh B!!! That means I have to wait an extra 2 days on the 2ww! Still fairly positive about the BDing though. Today is CD23 of 33! Long time to wait

CE xx

MrsPuddleduck · 16/05/2008 17:03

Don't worry about me.

I am really stressed about all things work related at the moment (of which there are 4 ). I think about it all so much I can't be bothered to talk about it

I am just enjoying reading at the moment - and looking at all the piccies

HumphreysCorner · 16/05/2008 17:37

willmouse-we are all worried about you. A problem shared and all that.

ChocEclair-drat! FF has told me I OV'd on CD12 which was the day I got me OVing on so the day we sent the men in-phew. Oh, and my due date is now 3rd Feb 09-lol! What I don't understand is that FF shortens my cycle when I OV early but regardless, I always have a 28 day cycle. It has got my test date before I would normally get AF-fine by me as I am an early tester but MJIM wouldn't agree with that

DD1 has to dress as a Lost Boy for the dancing show in July. Help!!!!!!

Must get some tea on.

Problem shared alert then:-

  1. I am currently working for my BIL but it is conveyancing, there is no work, hence no money, hence in the financial SH*t. I am dreading telling BIL that I am not going to work for him any more. He told me that he had paid £1,600 for an advert in our local Thompsons which comes out in June. I am not sure whether I believe this. I will feel really relieved to give it up though, as you know I am none to fond of SIL and she makes me feel as if I am in her debt because her husband employs me.
  1. DH managed to get me a casual job at Staffs Police phoning up victims of crime to check they were treated property. Great - 4 hours a day 4 days a week probably 4-8pm but could be even more flexible than that if I want. All I have to do now is juggle a bit of childcare between 4-5 a couple of days a week....... and do the training..... Good news is that it will start next month so will sort of cancel out the fact that I will not make any money from job 1.
  1. Decided to register as a childminder to make money and spend more time with DS2. DS1 starts school in September so I will be able to look afer up to 2 under 3's and 2 5 and overs - great again - childminder earned £25k last year doing similar. Have got briefing session with council next week and have then got to write a load of policies and check OFSTED regulations etc. This can take up to 12 weeks but possibly less. I was really excited about this in the week as we have a playroom which would be an ideal set up and then.............
  1. The nursery thing. We have now found a property which would be ideal (I thought this would take ages - it has taken a week) I am also going on a briefing on setting up a day nursery - basically a bloody nightmare between Ofsted, heath and safety, environmental health, fire safety etc etc. Plus Ofsted take 25 weeks to process your application and during that time we will have to rent a property (which will also require change of use btw at a cost of £265 and the neighbours may complain etc). However, if this works out it will be really profitable.

You may all notice that ttc doesn't come into this at all other than if option 4 is sucessful I will be able to live my dream and have 4 children (subject to the fact that I am only allowed one more c-section). I don't feel I should be here any more on that basis

It is a miracle that I ever sleep.

Sorry its long but you did ask.

All comments/advice greatly appreciated

Bellie · 16/05/2008 17:56

fantastic pictures!

Sorry to hear that you are stressed willmouse - rant away on here (if you can of course!) Or just lurk whatever works for you!

HC/CE my cycle seems to be about the same regardless of when I ov although I don't use ff, I am always confused/perplexed by it all!! When I mentioned it to my gp she looked at me as if I bonkers (no pun intended ) and told me that af always arrives 14 days after ov.

i was wondering about majormoo and bb too. Hope they are both alright - also Angel not been around for a while has she?

Yay it is Friday - american idol and wine night!!

DD at a party tomorrow which was supposed to be bouncy castle in the garden - although the weather is forcast to be raining all day

ChocolateEclair · 16/05/2008 18:15

willmouse - my god! You have got a lot on your plate! Sometimes just writing it all down like you have done, and getting it out, can help, so I hope it has . But thinking nice helpful thoughts for you, OK? As for not wanting to stay on here if not ttc, of course you can!!!! Half us are pg and they stay!

I'm not great with advice, but here goes:

  1. Sounds like this is a no brainer. Stop working for them immediately. The £1600 advert is not your problem/fault
  2. New job sounds good. Are there any family who might be able to help with childcare?
3/4. Could you do option 3 while you are setting up option 4? Could be a remporary fix and not too expensive, then you get your dream a bit later? Sorry if this is all c*, I have tried my best!

Bellie/HC - my cycle varies in length, but AF always arrives 14 days after ov! I must be a walking textbook! LOL!

Yes, Angel???? Where is she aswell???

MrsPuddleduck · 16/05/2008 18:24

Thanks CE - you have it in a nutshell really.

I am definitely giving up number 1.

Mum is going to cover my hour childcare two days and as DH works for Staffs Police in the same department, the other two days we are going to do a change around on the car park at 4pm!

I think I really want to just do number 3 which is the safe option. I have a gorgeous room which would be ideal and I could employ an assistant and take up to 12 children

4 is turning out to be really stressful. My CM thinks we can rent the property and both childmind out of it until we get approval to cover a bit of the rent.

Still feel like letting out a primal scream though!

Note to Mjob - I took your advice and cut DS2's hair myself (actually my best freind helped by running her clippers over it on the huge setting once I had cut the fringe). It looks fine and saved me a tenner. DS1 wont let me touch his - but I am growing it as a cost saving exercise as he has lovely curls so all I need is someone to cut the fringe!

Bellie · 16/05/2008 18:38

oh x-posts willmouse.

Glad that you felt that you could share.

Sounds like your life is really busy at the moment! Sorry to hear that the working for BIl is not going so well, although in someways may be better to get some distance with your SIL.

Fingers crossed about the police job, as sounds like that could bring some money in in the short term.
Will you be able to do the childminding and the nursery preparation at the same time? This would ensure that you still have money coming in whilst you have to pay out during the paperwork - can't beleive that it is so much!

Having all this on your plate at the moment understandably means that ttc has dropped off your radar screen - however they do say as soon as you plan/have something else important in your life you will fall pg so you never know

Ignore all my advice if you want to but wanted to try and be as constructive as I could.

majormoo · 16/05/2008 18:57

Hi All I am still here but been busy so by the time I have caught up on the thread no time to post much.

Willmouse sounds like you are really getting things moving.

Have 4 of my friends coming to stay at the weekend, while DH takes the kids to a friend's so really looking forward to a girlie weekend. Then my sister's 20th wedding anniversary party Sunday. So I will catch up properly next week. had tried to escape upstairs while DH got kids ready for bed but can hear DS yelling as he now thinks I have gone out so must go.
