I didn't manage to hold out but I did get a nice pink line for my efforts...

YouCantTeuchThis · 23/04/2008 16:43

sorry Cathers - can't you get a gynae referral after 6 months?

ChocolateEclair · 23/04/2008 16:45

Yey! Well done teuch! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!I'm really happy for you!!!! Are you due at Christmas then? Xmas day???

What CD was today then? and when did you ov?

YouCantTeuchThis · 23/04/2008 16:51

am only 12dpo and getting a edd of 2nd Jan for that.

But I am a bit wary since I know chemical pg's can happen at this stage.

but I do feel terrible

Heron23 · 23/04/2008 17:58

Hi Teuch, CONGRATS!!! , so happy for you!!!

Teuch, what time of the day did you do your hpt? morning urine? now i am very tempted to test myself....

OP posts:
Heron23 · 23/04/2008 18:22

i am getting cramps right now, i think AF is definitely coming. i feel like screaming and crying right now (but can't cos DS is here). i have to be strong. dont want to put in a tampon. AF is not flowing out yet, so maybe there is still hope

if AF definitely comes, will start clomid on cd2.

Heron, i'm crossing everything! Cramps are symptoms of AF and pregnancy. Sorry you feel so frustrated

Heron23 · 23/04/2008 19:25

thanks Teuch for your kind words. i feel better. sharing makes the load lighter!

what are your symptoms?

sureitsno3 · 23/04/2008 19:26

Teuch...What test did you use? < just being nosy>

YouCantTeuchThis · 23/04/2008 19:29

test strips from lookersgirl (ebay) which I have been peeing on for months and never got so much as a glimmer.

It is fainter than the control line, but not faint.

Pic on profile but is a bit blurred.

YouCantTeuchThis · 23/04/2008 19:30

Am cautiously excited though, since I know things can change drastically at this stage

sureitsno3 · 23/04/2008 19:31

I m 12 dpo and got a faint on CB, but going slightly mad as had a neg tesco one this aft.

sureitsno3 · 23/04/2008 19:32

My AF was due on Monday and a no show-er. I still don't want to accept i am pg until i get a dark pos.

YouCantTeuchThis · 23/04/2008 19:33

well, everything crossed for you too...

xserialshopper · 23/04/2008 19:33

Hi Heron, lmd and others. Will someone hold my hand? Im due Tuesday and I don't think that there is any chance I'm preggie, even though we did bd, so I wont be testing. I can feel af kicking in even now - and always can 7 days before

sureitsno3 · 23/04/2008 19:36

Teuch... Can you see a pos on the CB (pic on profile)?

YouCantTeuchThis · 23/04/2008 19:59

I do believe I can

I can just make out the pos on the test strip as well, although it is very faint.

sureitsno3 · 23/04/2008 20:01

Congratulations to you

Just think you can start a due in Jan thread don't think there is one yet.

Don't know about me, would you accept those tests of mine as pos enough to go to GP? i am a little stumped with this.

YouCantTeuchThis · 23/04/2008 20:09

When did you get the first faint one? When will you be officially late?

It is really common to get faint or no positives until well after period is missed (as many, many mners will testify) but if you continue to get faint positives after, say, Friday when the HcG should have approx doubled, then perhaps take advice.

It is frustrating that brands publish a detection rate, yet even tests in the same pack can have different sensitivities!! First Response is the most recommended as being consistently sensitive (reported 25 but generally 12) with clearblue digi coming in at 50 but anecdotal evidence of picking up less than 10ml)

YouCantTeuchThis · 23/04/2008 20:10

but certainly a cautious conrgatulations to you too

sureitsno3 · 23/04/2008 20:11

I am already late, AF was due Monday, but i am only 12 dpo or there abouts.

Heron23 · 23/04/2008 20:11

Hi X, i will hold your hand and being positive for you. Remember that AF and preg symptoms are very similar. My AF is due tomorrow morning. got cramps this afternoon so i have pretty much given up hope. BUT not over until AF is in full flow

so try and enjoy the evening. i am watching Dr Phil and eating thai food!

sureitsno3 · 23/04/2008 20:13

Got first faint pos (the cheapies pics on profile which are 10 miu) on Sat, the CB was yesterday afternoon.

YouCantTeuchThis · 23/04/2008 20:29

Hi X - I'll pat your back whilst Heron holds the hand

Sure - as long as you are dead sure about OV, then test again Friday before seeking advice from a GP or MW. The reason I say that, is because repeated false positives are very unusual, and although they don't always necessarily darken, you want to make sure that the hcg levels are, in fact, increasing.

Gawd, this baby-making is stressful, eh?!
