Oh no Still no sign of your period coming though, 'tis not over yet!

DS1 is absolutely glued to the telly, Crystal Maze, he's never seen it before, he is loving it - strange child!

Jacanne · 20/04/2008 11:22

Hi, can I join in? We have been trying for about 6 months for number 3. I finally caved and bought some ovulation tests - turns out I ovulate about 7 days earlier than I thought (duh) so maybe we'll have a bit more success this month (think we'll be going to bed early tonight...)

Does anyone know if my cycle is always 30 days exactly will I always ovulate at the same time or will I need the tests next month too (luckily there was 7 in the pack and I've only used 2)?

MoosMa · 20/04/2008 13:37

Sorry to hear you're feeling down BB, we'll all be here waiting for you when you're ready to come back!

Welcome Jacanne, I think most people OV at the same time, give or take 1 day, each cycle so you shouldn't need to test (but I bet you won't be able to help yourself!).

MoosMa · 20/04/2008 13:42

We've just been to town and I've bought 4 Superdrug's own HPTs - buy 1 2-pack get 2nd half price

I shall be testing again on Wednesday if nothing's happened by then. That will day 42, so 6 weeks, which is the longest cycle I've ever had and would be 18dpo (has anyone ever had a longer LP???).

YouCantTeuchThis · 20/04/2008 14:31

Moosma - for you too, but for bargain hpts!! Your LP shouldn't vary, so if you are sure your LP is shorter than 18 days usually, then you either OV'd later than you thought or you are PG without enough HcG to show a +ve yet.

Welcome Jacanne - did you definitely get a +ve on the sticks? It must be as dark or darker than the control line. I ask because many women get more than one LH surge a month, and sometimes our bodies gear up for OV but it doesn't happen for whatever reason and it tries again later...

BB - do what you have to do to get your head in the right place, then come back and let us know what support you need...if we can do it, we will, if not, there a tons of Mnetters all offering support!!

Starshinetiger · 20/04/2008 14:40

Moos - sorry, but glad for you too on BFN, as I know you said you didn't really want to be pg yet. Superdrug HPTs are what I used when I got BFP with DS - although was already 7 days overdue AF when I used the first one, but did come up clear as day and v. quickly - should have seen the shocked expressions on our faces in 1st month of trying !!
BB, sorry you're feeling down. Hope the time out does you some good. 1 week to go then AF is due and we really are going to TTC in May - yay!! I think DH has just seen me get broodier and broodier this month and he's quite looking forward to it too.
Was DH's bday yesterday and he got given some free tickets to Fulham Liverpool for Liverpool end, which was really fab, so he had a great day and I didn't have to cook last night, as he wanted indian takeaway - yum.
My Mum was over looking after DS this week as CM on hols, so on Thurs, DH and I went out for dinner ON OUR OWN!! First time out together on our own since September, so was really lovely - good job I didn't come on here afterwards though, as was a little tipsy to say the least . Was so lovely just to get out like a normal couple.
Diet starts in earnest tomorrow - my theory is that if I lose a stone in the next month then I'll fit into all my old clothes, then when I put a bit back on in the first few months of pg, I'll just put my current clothes back on and everyone will just think I'm pg again! - D'ya think it'll work.
Bluelines & Jacanne, sorry forgot to say welcome! Hope you enjoy our little madhouse.
Oh, and did I tell you all, my friend had her baby on Tuesday morning - a little girl - so very excited for her (probably did tell you all) - is contributing greatly to my broodiness and I've only seen photos on email so far!
Btw, I'm in Berkshire, so not far from you Hampshire and other southern girlies. Up for south or north meet up, as we travel up north sometimes having lived in Edinburgh for a few years. We're off up there to visit friends at end of May (right on my first testing time , so will be passing some of you - we'll wave in your direction Diege - probably stopping in near you either on way up or down to visit friends in Great Sankey too.
Right, must get on with some internet shopping - another long post from me . Enjoy your Sundays!

Jacanne · 20/04/2008 14:54

Thank you for the welcomes

I used the digital ones and you get a little smiley face if there is an LH surge. Do you think that I should carry on testing or is it likely that this is it? I have the right kind of CM I think.

luvingtinkerbell · 20/04/2008 15:04

Welcome Jacanne. You'll love it in here, I promise.

Right I will talk to you all Thursday evening/Friday morning. I am so looking forward to have a break and doing some shopping. My mum said she'd give me some money for my birthday for me to spend in London.

Talk soon.

Bye XXX

Starshinetiger · 20/04/2008 15:35

Hi Ladies, shorter message this time! Can you let me know what you think - want to buy a pressie for my friend's new little girl. Have seen a gorgeous outfit, but think that maybe a toy is better, 'cos it's longer lasting. What would you/did you prefer to receive as pressies?
Thanks in advance for your opinions!

Starshinetiger · 20/04/2008 15:36

Sorry - meant to say, have a fab time in London Kayz. Hope you and DH have an amazing holiday!

luvingtinkerbell · 20/04/2008 18:01

probably a toy outfits are gorgeous as well

lardylumps · 21/04/2008 07:25

Well BFN this morning ladies so looks like I am not pg as AF is due today... Just nipped on whild dd is eating her breakfast to let you know but wont be back until about 4. Af will probably have arrived by then.

Bye for now..

NatalieJane · 21/04/2008 08:20

BB, I don't know if you are still around sweetie, but I am soooo sorry for you. I know how stressful it is, especially when you are waiting for a period to arrive that seems to have gone AWOL. But please try not to get too disheartened, wasn't it the week before last that you the EWCM? If that was OV then you wouldn't even have had your period due by now, so the test/s you've done will have been too early. I think it is very easy to get to the point where you don't care whether it is your period or a BFP, as long as you get some answers. I think if I were you, I'd try and wait it out this week, if nothing either way by Friday then go see your GP, that is what she is there for. Fingers crossed you get an answer from somewhere ASAP. You know we are all always here if you want to rant

LL, sorry for your BFN as well, again don't be defeated, it is very common to not get a BFP until a good few days after your period is due, fingers crossed it doesn't come today

Hi and welcome to Jacanne

Kay, I know you have gone, but I am winging over some 'have a lovely time' vibes all the way down there Don't forget to think of us whilst your strolling through M&P's

I had a dream about us all last night, but haven't got time to go into it now, first day back at school today, will be back in a bit xxx

luvingtinkerbell · 21/04/2008 08:27

CD40, still no AF but some killer cramps so I guess she's on her way.

luvingtinkerbell · 21/04/2008 09:08

hi moosma sorry for mean cramps lets hope she doesnt get you

NatalieJane · 21/04/2008 09:39

Sounds good Tink

Moos, fingers crossed, cramps mean nothing!

OK so my dream....

We had a meet up in my old school, Diege had organised it all, and she bought along that Keiran bloke that Kay is always harping on about, and the press, we were all sat in my old class room, and Keiran walked in followed by the press, they were taking pictures of everyone with him, and Kay was running around with a big fat pregnant belly going "Oooooho Diege, I haven't got any make up on, he's never gonna want to marry me while I'm in this state" and then I woke up.....

Also have a small celebration, I think I have said before that although my pelvic floor works very well during the day, when I first wake up in the morning the first thing I have to do is go for a wee quickly, and it is a mad dash to the bathroom before I lose erm... control.... well this morning, woke up, needed a wee as per usual, stood up and I felt a sneeze coming, I didn't know whether to try and run to the bathroom (not easy with crossed legs!) or just brave it and sneeze, well I didn't have much choice, the sneeze came, two of them, and my PF actually held out, I did feel like I was going to either pull all my stomache muscles, or give birth to my internal organs, but I didn't pee myself

luvingtinkerbell · 21/04/2008 11:49

thanks nj lol @ dream
well done u with sneezes

Broodybabywannabe · 21/04/2008 12:15

Anonymoos · 21/04/2008 12:17

Congrats on not weeing Nat!

Well the cramps got really bad, then I had a mahooooosive poo and they went away!

I'm starting to get a bit worried now, I really wanted to wait at least another month. DH will be annoyed too, so I've come up with a plan [devious]. If I get a BFP I won't tell DH yet, I'll just crack on with the list (only 18 things left to go!) then tell him when I either a, finish the list or b, start puking and falling asleep.

Anonymoos · 21/04/2008 12:18

Glad you're feeling a bit brighter BB, you'd better come back here the second you get that BFP!
