Thanks for suggesting that I start this thread - its a real honour. Won't be leaving it yet as am only on cd24, despite getting bfps from the 3 tests I have done today (paranoid or what?!).
Lots and lots of babydust to everyone. If this pg is successful, I will have conceived in the midst of an awful cold so that should give everyone some hope. Lots and lots of hugs.....

triceratops - sorry to hear about AF.

((((hester))) - a big chocolate coated hug for you. I don't really know what to say that could cheer you up (useless, aren't I?!) but I just want you to know that I am thinking about you and sending you lots of very positive babythoughts. If I could wish it for you then I really would (and then for me too, of course ). Let's just take it one month at a time and see how we all get on.

marinda · 12/01/2005 19:55

Jeds - Gynae quack appointment through - WHAT HO and it is Feb 24th. Will ring liiiiike you said to get an earlier one !!! Meant't to ask - how did you DH get swimmers test ? Did he just go to GP ?
Feeling very AF today - Only CD17, but I get the FLO systems at least a week before - what a bitch she is !!!!!
Hester - I agree with Jeds - Careful with the chocolate else your bottom will be shelf-like (and you won't see your tummy when your become pg - YES it will happen- if Arabica can do it on a wim so can you - do you feel wim like ????

Sorry for teasing 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!

velcrobott · 12/01/2005 19:56

Hester and Jeddah... can I ask if you have considered alternative therapies to help your body? I ask as I can see how desperate you are getting (totally understandable) and when someone is that keen soe of these therapies work well. I know people who got pregnant after these sorts of treatments despite years of trying without them....

Had periods... 1st time in basically 6 months (so am probably the only one on this thread happy to have a visit from AF!)... let's see if I ovulate now !

cockenzie · 12/01/2005 20:14

well was very bad today.went to Iceland and bought pack of 6 jaffa choc cakes and ate them all.i cant believe it! what about all those calories?? i still secretly hope that i am ovulating late.well CD19 here and weird sensations 'cramps' like which i always put down as periods getting ready.i keep on charting temp.

may i ask how old uare kiwicath and do u also bf at night?

am going to catch up with all of yous

sparkly · 12/01/2005 20:35

CD31 for me and still no AF. Not tested since Sunday but not sure there is much point. Don't feel pregnant at all. My cycles are normally 28-30 days without fail. Should I test at the weekend if nothing or sooner???

Going to try to catch up with everyone on here now!

velcrobott · 12/01/2005 20:39

Can you wait until Sunday???? I cound'nt!!! But I know what you mean about not feeling pregnant and not wanting to test again!!!

Kiwicath · 13/01/2005 06:15

Sparkly, EVERYBODY!!! You don't have to feel pregnant to be pregnant. I still don't and drinking a lovely decaf coffee as I write this. Still got wicked AF pains and boobs feel no different than they ever have. I swore I was pregnant last month as I was feeling really sicky and had all the "pregnancy signs". Whoever is pulling the strings is just having fun with us, I'm sure .

Cocenzie, feeding 7.30am, 12.30, 3.30, 7pm (all +/-). He never wakes at night but veeeery, ocassional will give him a quick feed at night if he has a fever and I want to load him up on fluids.

Jeddah, I seem to ovulate day 14+/- (regardless of cycle) so corner my hubby and have my wicked way between day 12-16 to cover all bases. Very tricky as he works nights so have to plan around when the littlin is having his nap - not very romantic is it . I do all the bum in the air thing as well. We throw a few quickies in throughout the rest of the month just to make sure. Have poured over my calendar and done the calculations and we conceived on day 15 this month???, well as sure as I can be i guess.

pooka · 13/01/2005 08:50

Sparkly. I test too early in December and got a BFN. The tested when AF due and got faint positives. Then later on BFPs. Due early September, hopefully (fingers crossed). So you may have tested too early.

munnzieb · 13/01/2005 08:51

morning girls,

Hester - ooh plain bounty, i've not had one of those for years! lol.

jedds - Our appt are the same yes, mine was put back by 2 weeks due to unfirseen circumstances of something - bloody cheek! it's not like I haven't been waiting long enough! i'll be around CD9 when I ahve to go in (noon as well, talk about a bloomin death wish or something) anyhow, at least the wait hasn't been as long as for some.

Marinda - that's quite a quick appt, about 6 weeks? how old r u if u don't mind me asking? (they must have some sooner apts, as not only did jedds manage to get one, they managed to rearrange mine as I said, so they must have some spares for when the gynos want a long lunch break!

Sparkley - I'd wait until the weekend if I was you, but then again, i'm no good at the waiting game! speaking of which, I have 3 tests in the house (left over from b4 DH was away) someone please take them away from me before next cycle cos I won't be able to resist the temptation! actually I think i'll get DH to hide them in teh attic cos I can't get up there!

Cockenzie - good luck with ur move today hon, (new house new baby and all!)

It's CD21 here - (7/8 DPO - do u take it from the first day of the O showing on persona or the second?) my usual LP is 12 days so i'm reconning on a 26 day month, even thou I was trying to hurry it along before DH came home (not worked at all as hes home tomorrow - YAY! loads a bd! lol, my neighbours are threatenin to knock on the door every hour and ring the phone! bloomin cheek!

munnzieb · 13/01/2005 09:09

girls if you ahve a mo can u look at rantu's thread of dissapointed, I think she needs a bit of support from us all.

hester · 13/01/2005 10:04

Hester the empty-nester reporting for duty!

Jedds, Marinda - my bottom already IS like a shelf! The only thing that saves me is a small waist (I'm one of those old-fashioned hourglass types) and you know if I ever get pg that will get blasted to hell and I will just look huge for ever and ever. Will be worth it though (advantage of being 40: you know it's going soon anyway, so there's not so much to lose).

velcrobott - I have been thinking of alternative therapies, actually, but don't really know what to go for. Any advice? Anybody? People seem to think reflexology is very good.

sparkly - test now!!!

cockenzie - lol at the jaffa cakes. C'mon you lightweight, you can do better than that!

Wifeof · 13/01/2005 11:18

Munnzie - been meaning to say for ages - hope all goes well when your dh gets back tomorrow.

Take it easy with him, we bd'd 5 times in 12 hours when my dh returned from the Gulf after 6.5 months (mind you that was 12 years ago!!) and we weren't ttc then. The poor guy'll need some strength to do the biz when you ov! Anyway, just wanted to say that I know what you've been through and really hope you enjoy his homecoming (sorry !!). Make a beautiful baby!!!

Sparkly - I'm also overdue, cd30, 13dpo, had loads of cramping and backache for about week, got tender boobs (and have had since ov) and keep being convinced for the last 3 or 4 days that AF is coming because of the aches but just loads of CM (sorry again!).
However I was very moody last weekend and have a face like a pizza which is a bit of a giveaway really as I suppose there's the usual ton of progesterone whizzing round my body. Apart from this I don't feel anything....???? Eating for England, no nausea, so I'm not feeling too hopeful.

I'm going to stick it out until tomorrow as I've got one test upstairs. Last month I got to this stage, tested and AF came a few hours later, and I can't face that again.

Love to all, Wifeof xx

sparkly · 13/01/2005 11:18

Kiwicath I know what you mean about not having to feel pregnant to be pregnant but when I was pg with my dd I felt horrid from day 1. Of course I didn't think I could be pregnant then (years of failed fertility treatments before this) so was diagnosed with IBS because of continual cramping. Sooooo, keep looking for comparisons and so far there are none!

Ok, ladies, going to go to Boots at lunchtime and buy a test (if I get out of here today!) and do it at work .... will let you know how it goes... last time I found out I was pg it was whilst I was at work so maybe it's a good sign??!

Sallie · 13/01/2005 11:24

Lots of luck Sparkly - let us know how you get on. Do get the Boots Digital test rather than the normal one....

OP posts:
Wifeof · 13/01/2005 11:24

Ooooh, good luck Sparkly!!!

hester · 13/01/2005 11:28

Sparkly, I'm so excited for you! So, so, SO hope you get the right result...

Sallie, in what way is Boots digital better than bog standard? Just more sensitive early on?

hester · 13/01/2005 11:30

Wifeof, I'm due too (tomorrow). Am just imagining us all sitting here typing, frantically reading every cramp and twinge, thinking, 'I'm pregnant! No I'm not! Yes I am!' This way madness lies...

sparkly · 13/01/2005 11:35

Thanks everyone! Hester, you are so right this is madness. DP is away, too, not back till Sunday. Have more or less convinced him it hasn't happened this month so would be great to shock him like that. Getting ahead of myself, still keep thinking I'm not pg ... oh to be proved wrong would be soooo wonderful!

hester · 13/01/2005 11:37

You're going to have to test today now; we've got you all excited!

All fingers crossed for you and I'll be popping back in throughout the day to check your progress. In the meantime, KEEP CALM!

munnzieb · 13/01/2005 11:39

ooh thanks wifeof - are u guys still in? i'll be nice to him for about 10 minutes! he he I have a stack of odd jobs for him to do as well! lol, and he thinks he's coming home for a rest! good to hear form some one else who's been there thou, all of the lads out there with DH at the mo are singlely so im all alone really here. :9 apart from u guys of course and work

munnzieb · 13/01/2005 11:41

even! hest - r u going to test on the w/e if AF hasn't turned up?

Sallie · 13/01/2005 11:47

Wifeof - good luck too. Here's hoping theres some more good news very soon. Good luck to all testing soon and babydust to everyone ttc, whatever stage you are at

OP posts:
Sallie · 13/01/2005 11:53

I was utterly convinced it wouldn't happen for us this week as had the cold from hell over the relevant ov time. But just shows...maybe I relaxed a bit when I had the cold because I had something else to worry about. No 3 (all being well) will have been conceived Xmas Eve/Xmas Day - agh............

OP posts:
Sallie · 13/01/2005 11:53

...oops - meant to type this month, not this week!!!!

OP posts:
Tania2 · 13/01/2005 12:01
