The tww feels like forever! I'm hoping to find cycle buddies! Looking forward to symptom spotting, testing and everything else!😅

@1stbabyat39 Welcome!
They're good lines on the OPKs! Fingers crossed this is your month✨
I had very sensitive nipples post ovulation which was a new one for me. How are you feeling about TTC?

OP posts:
amichel · 07/07/2024 21:32

@1woodpecker
That sounds good, it's can be interesting to get other peoples opinions. My tests have been stark negatives, but it's good to know if i ever have a line I'm unsure about.

Sorry to hear AF came! What's Agnus cactus? I'm not sure what to do different next cycle. I feel like we did it enough prior to ovulation, but maybe we should have continued post ovulation too.

@Samthenanny
Hopefully that's just implantation CM. It's so hard to tell when we're running around after toddlers. I'm tired as hell most of the time so that doesn't help😅

@amichel feeling good I was sick yesterday unusual for me and just hoping we timed it right for this month 🤞x

amichel · 07/07/2024 21:34

@26dX

I would probably do a digital on the day AF is due if I had a positive on a strip. How are you feeling? Have you done anymore tests?

OP posts:
26dX · 07/07/2024 21:37

@amichel done one more this afternoon just because I need to believe it! Will hold out a couple days for the digital x

@Marie1990x
I'm in the same boat although I've had a pretty chilled weekend. Tested again today and BFN!
What tests are you using? I was under the impression the easy@home tests were sensitive (10MUI), but the reviews say the ones from Amazon are 25MUI.

I don't want to waste money on buying an expensive early detection for it to be negative especially as I'm due AF anytime from Thursday.

@26dX Congratulations on your BFP!!!🥳🥳 That's a really strong line! What tests are you using?
Happy for you!✨

@amichel thank you ❤️🥹
They are from Amazon, Ferris / pack of 2 pregnancy tests xx

Marie1990x · 07/07/2024 21:56

@26dX congratulations! Lovely lines 😍. I’d say your digital would definitely pick it up with those lines!

@amichel I have e@h tests from amazon too. They’re advertised as 10mui aren’t they?

I’m 11dpo so I’d have expected to see something by now I think, but mine were stark stark white. Just want AF to come now. Although I’m so close to just giving up, if it’s not happened by now after over a year then I can’t see it happening ever really, unfortunately

amichel · 07/07/2024 22:05

@Marie1990x
I've attached some reviews. The official website for easy@home tests are 25MIU. I'm not sure if they're falsely advertised as 10MIU. Either way I'm not hopeful for this cycle so I'm not blaming the tests for a negative result (yet).
I'm sorry you're feeling this way about the future. It's easy for me to say we've got to carry on and one day we'll get our positive, but I could be feeling the exact same way if I takes me over a year to conceive.
After 12 months of trying can you get some support from a fertility specialist through a doctors recommendation?
Deep down I'm hoping we get our BFPs, it's just shit having stark white negatives.
🤍

I’ve just looked at the leaflet from the box and says 10 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I doubt I’d be entitled to any fertility checks as I already have a child? I keep saying I’m going to call the gp and see but I never do 😂.

I think I just need to have a more laid back approach and not get too worked up over it all every month.
Makes me more grateful for DD though, she must have just been a miracle 😂

@Marie1990x
Oh I'm going to check mine! Just realised those reviews were from a couple of years ago.

I would like to think you'd be entitled to any tests/checks free of charge. It would definitely be worth a call!

It's so hard to be relaxed with every month that passes by. I don't know how I would ever stop tracking ovulation whilst TTC. Admittedly I need to chill out with the pregnancy tests.

My DD makes my life complete. I just want to give her siblings and to grow our family. Seeing a newborn brings me to tears.

Agnus castus/Vitex is a herbal supplement, meant to be good for low progesterone and PMS. Ive hard lots of people say they got pregnant first time using it!
Ive been listening to the podcast “Don’t tell me to relax” which has been good. Talks a lot about all the lifestyle stuff - getting good sleep, stress, environmental stuff (reducing toxic products - lots of the stuff we use is full of chemicals which can affect our hormones!), drinking alcohol etc. My main thing is weight but I find it so hard to lose weight 🙈 but I’m already taking vitamins and supplements which so far hasn’t worked (Proceive, vitamin b6, vit c, magnesium, starflower oil before ovulation, maca). Partner hasn’t had sperm analysis though - I actually saw a sperm test on the shelf in Tesco recently!!

Have you thought about doing some tests privately? I’ve used Hertility a few times and they’re really good! You can also do day 21 progesterone tests - I bought from Superdrug. Told me I have low progesterone and oestrogen.

I did the hertility test a few months ago. It all came back in range apart from my AMH was slightly high, the comments were that it could indicate PCOS but because everything else was fine and it was only slightly raised, it wasn’t likely 🤷🏻‍♀️. I would like to see if I can get the 21 day tests, thanks for the tip I will have a look into it 😊 x

I think it’s a bit of a postcode lottery to be honest! Some areas seem to do it and others don’t. My sister had some bloods done when trying for a second but everything was fine so they didn’t do anything. She conceived not long after and had been trying for a long time too.

Haha the pregnancy test addiction is real! It’s just too easy now isn’t it with the bulk buying and cheapies.

Yeah that’s the same for me, would love for her to have a sibling. How old is your DD?

Sevillegarden · 08/07/2024 08:59

I'm now about 6/7 dpo. I've been feeling exactly as I usually do in the week after ovulation but I'm not unduly worried as this was the case with my first - if I wasn't actively TTC I wouldn't have noticed anything different to prompt me to take a pregnancy test. I did have a little colour to CM yesterday which is unusual but trying not to read too much into it.

I'll start testing from Thursday. My cycles are longer now and still not totally settled. Expecting period to start any time from Thursday (CD32). Time is going slowly!

JC084 · 08/07/2024 10:47

Period arrived a few days early today 😞
Ah well, time to focus on the next cycle

amichel · 08/07/2024 11:09

@1woodpecker I'll look into that thanks! I do really need to change my life style, running on small amounts of sleep, constantly dehydrated, poor diet etc😅
I took folic acid for the first cycle. Does anyone take folic acid every day whilst TTC?x

OP posts:
amichel · 08/07/2024 11:11

Oh really! That's annoying they didn't look any further than blood tests. There's hope!

I took a clear blue 6 day before period test and stark negative. I'm going to try and avoid buying the cheapies next cycle. If I can hold off until the last few days before AF is due I'll be impressed.

She'll be 3 in September. How old is yours?x

OP posts:
amichel · 08/07/2024 11:13

@Sevillegarden I didn't have a clue with my first until I was 5 weeks pregnant. The only thing that prompted me to test was that my period was only 2-3 days and super light.

Same here! Anytime from Thursday really. I have been a day early or even 2 days late sometimes so we'll see x

OP posts:
amichel · 08/07/2024 11:13

@JC084 sorry to hear that! All the best with the next cycle. Is there anything you'll do differently with the new cycle?x

OP posts:
JC084 · 08/07/2024 12:07

@amichel I'm going to back to my clear blue ovulation tests. They always seem to do the trick for me as are so accurate

Samthenanny · 08/07/2024 12:39

@amichel i take folic acid daily, i read it’s beneficial to take daily 3 months before ttc, i did with my first and forgot this time, I started taking it about a month ago now.

I had another cm/pinky show last night when I wiped, so that was 2. Once in the morning and once before bed with nothing in between!
im 10dpo, my flo app says i can take a test from tomorrow but i might just wait until Wednesday if i can x
