Right, so I can't start this thread using anything like..."Here we go ladies!"

So, will have to come up with something completely different....

How about Congratulations Kay!

I love those types of programs. Dh doesn't though.

Diege · 05/04/2008 21:47

Hello! Another 'I'd do anything' fan here, though mainly for the JB factor I must admit . Had a nice day in Chester with the dds and dh, with lovely food at 'Zizi's' - I had a gorgeous smoked salmon calzone, and for once the dds ate everything in front of them!
Trying to do a bit of work that needs finishing for next week, but failing miserably, hence my diversion onto MN
KAY, tis never too early to start flexing that pregnancy muscle! Get dh out there on a search for pickled onions (bleughhhhh!!!!). CALS, you're so right about the horror that is work-clothes shopping . I have had to smarten my act up a bit in my new job, and no longer can I get away with jeans and combats - now I need a separate 'work' wardrobe, which I never feel 'me' in (I am a real jeans and converse girl!)Good on you for getting back into the running though - it's a brilliant way to shape up, and helps with stress levels too!
LL, I think you and dh certainly deserve a glass of wine or two!!TEUCH, are you saying there are no Takeaways on your island ; surely a gap in the market there?? .
Right, best re-open my work file window...honestly, at least with maternity leave I'll get a bit of a rest!

YouCantTeuchThis · 05/04/2008 22:48

no god damn takeaways or colourful houses

last summer and over the winter we had fish and chips but nobody offering that just now

I can't watch 'I'd do Anything' despite the lure of JB...all those precocious little turds very talented boys...

YouCantTeuchThis · 05/04/2008 23:57

okay, so no-one around but I'll post and you can all 'mull' over with your morning coffee/choc milkshake (kay )

DS is 2y 3m and started poos on toilet a few weeks ago. I made a big fuss but didn't expect much to come of it, just a phase IYKWIM. So, now he is back to generally poo in nappy, sometimes on toilet but he always wants nappy changed after piddle.

I swear "i got a piddly nappy" is the theme of my month week!! I keep saying "wouldn't it feel better if you tell me before you piddle" but he obviously isn't ready for that yet.

He may bankrupt me...

kayzisexpecting · 06/04/2008 07:10

Morning.

I could live without takeaways!! I want to live on Skye and poor old dh says we'll be in the middle of nowhere. Suits me fine But I am a country bumpkin and he prefers big towns.

Teuch I have all that potty training to come, I am honestly dreading it. I am a bit squeamish.

Oh yeah WE HAVE SNOW!!!! YAY!!! I love snow!!

Diege · 06/04/2008 08:15

Morning . Brrrr, it's freezing here too Kay, lots of thick snow! dh has taken older dds out to the local park as they were so excited. I can take it or leave it myself, as it usually stops me getting places (work, so not all bad!)
LOL Teuch at 'piddly nappy' . I'm being very lazy with dd3, after doing it pretty much by the book with the other 2 (well, dd 1 at least!). It's true what they say about no.3 child - poor L is 2.4y, still in nappies, and has even been known to drag out the baby annabel potty and make appropriate noises. Maybe she's trying to tell me soemthing? .
Right, breakfast is calling. Speak later x

sorkycake · 06/04/2008 09:25

I caved and poas:
first response- negative, FMU.
I left it on the side whilst I sorted out breakfast, had a quick second look after 20 minutes and there was a verrrry faint line.
I took the test apart (i know, i know) to get a better look and sure enough when it's held up o the light there is a PINK line.

So I've waited until I need the toilet again, tested with a Sainsbury's own brand, not with fmu, but it's a clear positive.

It's still faint but def there (no tilting or squinting or moving to another room/light source required lol

YAY!

kayzisexpecting · 06/04/2008 09:26

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can come and join me!!

YouCantTeuchThis · 06/04/2008 09:29

G'morning all!

I thought you might be interested in this. It is basically saying that the 6 days before ovulation are the fertile window, but if you look at the rates, 2 days before is actually more likely that 1 day before .

Anyway, I found it interesting

Other research states that you should have sex every day (or more ) in that fertile window, unless you or DP have a medical reason not to!!

Also, abstaining for 10 days or more (waiting for the fertile window!) is known to reduce the quality of sperm!!

Gawd, we are going to be busy...

YouCantTeuchThis · 06/04/2008 09:30

Fantastic news Sorky!!!

kayzisexpecting · 06/04/2008 09:33

Thats interesting.

There was so much conflicting stuff around. Sex everyday, every other day and every 3 days.

calsworld · 06/04/2008 09:43

Congratulations Sorky!!

MoosMa · 06/04/2008 10:17

Congratulations Sorky! We're not going to be on the AN thread again then!

Diege · 06/04/2008 10:34

Congrats SORKY!!! What an exciting morning for you . Do you have a due date yet?
Teuch - good tech work there . Yes, I'd heard about reduced sperm quality if you have a break before ov, but not about timing of goffing. V. Interesting! Yes, we will be busy .Morning Moos

sorkycake · 06/04/2008 10:43

EDD 18 Dec 08, i think.

kayzisexpecting · 06/04/2008 10:49

NatalieJane · 06/04/2008 10:59

Have a lovely Sunday all, especially Sorky See you tomorrow xxx

kayzisexpecting · 06/04/2008 11:02

YAY!!!!!!!!! Good one Nat!!!

Good Luck!!

YouCantTeuchThis · 06/04/2008 11:18

I think this could be a big month!!!

After all of our humphing and heying about Dec/Jan babies...

Diege · 06/04/2008 11:31

Well I'm back off the wagon after my plan to 'miss out' April. My concern really is the sickness as I really was bed-ridden last time and would feel awful about letting new work down...but there again I'll be 38 in May and am missing June out anyway, so before I knew it the summer would be gone...so yes, lots of gof-fing me for too .
On af-front, sore boobs now gone, so expect a visit any day now

kayzisexpecting · 06/04/2008 11:33

Diege, can I ask you something?

Was your dh as interested and excited everytime. Dh doesn't seem to be very interested or excited and its worrying me now.

kayzisexpecting · 06/04/2008 11:36

I think I am being a bit emotional(dunno why) as he is lookng at mothercare catalogue.

Diege · 06/04/2008 11:43

Looking at Mothercare catalogue is a GOOD SIGN . TBH, no dh wasn't as excited with pregnancy 3 & 4, though just because he didn't seem as enthusiastic of couse doesn't mean he wasn't so excited inside if that makes sense? I think with no.1 it's all so new, a real adventure for both of you. I think with dds2 and 3 dh was more concerned about the practicalities etc, whereas with dd1 it was all sparkly and new (on and erm unplanned after just 5 months together, which was novelty enough in itself!)
I do remember getting quite cross with dh later on when pregnant with 2 & 3 - they don't seem to get how much more tired you are second time round with a lo already to look at. Lots of hinting at the least will be needed, plus make the most of any offers of dh taking ds1 out for the day etc...pamper yourself and enjoy!

Diege · 06/04/2008 11:45

Meant with pregnancy 2&3 - getting a bit ahead of myself there
