Right, so I can't start this thread using anything like..."Here we go ladies!"

So, will have to come up with something completely different....

How about Congratulations Kay!

But Teuch I was told by the MW that it continues to implant until about 7 weeks and that most people get a bleed around 5 weeks.

lardylumps · 14/04/2008 14:05

Teuch is the fountain of knoledge kay.... how are you feeling now?

kayzisexpecting · 14/04/2008 14:07

Fine, bit annoyed that NHS direct were useless, told me that discharge is normal in pregnancy and that its normally pink. Asked me 32 questions about me feeling sick and then told me it was morning sickness

YouCantTeuchThis · 14/04/2008 14:10

It is difficult to get the balance between being reassuring and presenting the facts, I think!

Everyone is different so some people will not have implantation until later, if at all. The MW was correct to suggest this as it is possible, and is reassuring for you in the meantime, and you can discuss with your own MW at your appointment. It is impossible for her to diagnose over the phone.

I personally don't think it would be implantation, but I think there are a dozen other explanations, none of which are sinister (cervical or urine infection, for example). And I'm no expert...

I htink you can feel reassured that bleeds are comon, whatever the reason, and that it will be investigated with your own MW

lardylumps · 14/04/2008 14:14

Ohhhhhhhhhh kay I know how you feel, just keep calm and take it easy today. if it turns red go to GP but i was told as long as it is small amounts and no clotts then there is nothing to worry about and they were right then (and i had proper red blood as well)...... Big kisses and hugs coming your way.

kayzisexpecting · 14/04/2008 14:16

I don't even want to think about it anymore as I don't think its anything to worry about and I know I will worry if I continue to think about it. If it was the MW would have said to go into the hospital.

So what is the weather doing where you are?
I don't understand how it can rain/hail all while it is very sunny.

kayzisexpecting · 14/04/2008 14:33

Can I ask a favour?

Where is my hairbrush? I cant find it anywhere. Last I saw of it ds was playing with it and now it has gone.

I am using Pregnancy brain as my excuse.

I'm hoping that pysically(sp) one of you will know where it is.

lardylumps · 14/04/2008 14:42

in the nappy bag??

kayzisexpecting · 14/04/2008 14:43

Nope looked there. I thought it would be under his playpen as he puts everything under there. I now think dh may have moved it out of ds's way and not put it anywhere sensible.

kayzisexpecting · 14/04/2008 15:16

Thanks GeordieJogger I think I might well go for it, I guess if it comes back ok then I'll be put at rest and if not I can sensibly go to the doctors.
Sorry your DP isn't ready, I don't think there's a lot you can say to make him ready. We'd decided last year to start in January thinking it would be oh so easy and of course it's not. Wish we'd started earlier .

lardylumps · 14/04/2008 15:46

I had the same thing with dp but he came around. Good luck hope he changes his mind.

kayzisexpecting · 14/04/2008 16:25

It was under his lion walker thing.

I really hope that he comes round GJ, there is never a great time to have a baby. You don't have enough money or the house isn't big enough or the cat might get jealous(a reason my friend gave his dw)

lardylumps · 14/04/2008 16:42

I agree and its not like you will blink and have a baby... It will be 9 months at least..

lardylumps · 14/04/2008 16:43

dp has job interview tonight... So hopefully he will get it

kayzisexpecting · 14/04/2008 16:44

Wish dp good luck for me LL.

lardylumps · 14/04/2008 16:55

Will do thanks Kay

YouCantTeuchThis · 14/04/2008 17:12

Good Luck Mr Lumps

GJ - how honest??!! I mean, I would probably go for honesty mixed in with some ego-massage . Seriously, I know he has your list of concerns, but how about, before tomorrow, you put together a list of reasons why he is fab, why you love him and why he will be a great dad?

The last thing you want is the 'talking' to tuen into fighting, as few babies are successfully conceived this way...

MoosMa · 14/04/2008 17:22

Good luck Mr LL, and GJ I had a similar problem with DH before DD1 happened. I think in the end he was persuaded when I was curled up in a ball on the sofa sobbing my heart out wailing 'You don't want babies now and I don't think you ever will but IIIIIII doooooooooooooooooooooo!' Dramatic? Moi?

Before I came off the pill I had promised to do all the baby stuff myself and never ask him to do a nappy (I think he's done a total of 6), don't expect him to get all gooey etc. By the time we were TTC he was getting quite keen on the idea and once she was born he was besotted

It all takes so long that none of it comes as a big shock, like LL says, even once you start TTC you're still at least 9 months away from an actual baby!

lardylumps · 14/04/2008 17:33

moos did dh have to stay in a hotel in the end on Saturday?
