Right, so I can't start this thread using anything like..."Here we go ladies!"

So, will have to come up with something completely different....

How about Congratulations Kay!

LL it sounds like you've got it covered but if it doesn't happen then you can blame it on bad timing rather than worrying it never will IYSWIM?

BB you sound remarkably calm, I'd be going mad with a 60+ day cycle!

lardylumps · 12/04/2008 15:59

There are a few Previer Travel Inns in and around manchester. Good value about £70 per night I thinnk.

lardylumps · 12/04/2008 16:00

failing that go to lastminute.com they have some good deals.

MoosMa · 12/04/2008 16:06

£70 - eek! Just had another message from DH saying the tyres cost £115 in the end. He's delivering a piece of furniture but I think we'll have made a loss on it now with all the problems.

lardylumps · 12/04/2008 16:13

go onto lastminute.com you may find someting cheaper.

MoosMa · 12/04/2008 16:20

Thanks LL, I've just had a look and it looks useful but I don't know how far he's going to get tonight so I shall wait till he's decided how far south he'll get before he has to sleep!

He's promised DD1 he'll be here all day tomorrow (1st day off in a long time) but he's not going to be here when she wakes up.

lardylumps · 12/04/2008 16:30

oh poor dd.....

lardylumps · 12/04/2008 17:56

I AM OFF NOW ENJOY THE REST OF YOU WEEKEND XX

calsworld · 12/04/2008 19:18

Anyone around?

We've been out and bought a stroller today, DS's buggy fills half our boot (7 seater grand scenic so its a blimin big boot) and we struggle for capacity when we go away for the weekend - god knows what it'll be like with two of them!

We bought a silver cross pop, quite expensive for a stroller BUT its perfect for travelling (by this I mean to visit my folks or the outlaws In-laws for the weekend), we can have loads more space in the car. We didn't want to get a really cheap ones just yet coz they don't recline and he sleeps in his quite a bit still. By the time we get to have a new babe, he should be walking a lot more ()....

Got it from mothercare using a 10% discount voucher I got emailed so was same price as babies r us. But babies r us only do it in black whereas mothercare have it in a grey / red combo called [http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product/B000TGGDAQ/sr=1-2/qid=1207761965/ref=sr_1_2/202-8429787-213986 6?ie=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=44352031&mcb=core salsa]] which we thought would be better for hiding marks / dribble / mashed marmite sandwiches etc!

So if when i get pg again, we can manage two strollers easily in the boot in terms of space and there'll always be plenty of people volunteering to push. Then the new babe can have the silver cross and we'll be get a real cheap one for DS.

And if when I have another DC, my sister has a graco double buggy i'm going to use.

We'll have more wheels than JK from Jamiroquai!!!

I'm talking too much again aren't I.

Oops. Been a long day! Off to join my DS in the bath!

Evening everyone.

Hope you all have had fairly good days.

We are definetly going to get the Phil & Teds one. We really like it. We're going to get in the Navy we think.

MoosMa · 12/04/2008 21:12

Good choice Kay, can I claim my commission now?

If you change your mind and want a red one, you can buy mine so I can have the new style one

How's your morning evening sickness now?

Diege · 12/04/2008 21:54

Evening . Cals, you have had me surfing the net for strollers all night . I have heard v.good things of the silvercross pop, and as the brakes are dodgy on my quinny zap, I may well need to buy a new one myself. I've always liked the Maclaren volo for a stroller though doesn;t come with a raincover from memory which is a bummer.
Kay, ooh yes phil and Teds in navy sounds good. The p&Ts is really growing on me, though I've done my time with double buggies and will just get a buggy board for dd3.
Moos, your weekend sounds fairly stressful! Fingers crossed dh will get some time with dds (and give you a break!). My dh is away for the London Marathan - hey maybe that's where yours is heading, what with them being the same person and all .

Would you believe I have to write a lecture now on research methods for social workers. I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday night . Think I'll make a start and pick it up again tomorrow - starting things is always my worst fault, so just need to get going on it!!!
Hope everyone is having a good weekend, and speak tomorrow, diege xxx

calsworld · 12/04/2008 21:55

Hi Kay, it was okay - DS finally ate home made sandwiches and home made dinner today... small step in the right direction. He eats everything nursery cook for him, just refuses anything I make usually. But he had a good munch on my home made chilli! Must have been all the mexicans I had during pg...it was about the only meal I could eat!

How are you feeling? Still feel real?

I do like the P&T but DH not so keen, he's a bit traditional in taste!

Did some clothes shopping for DS as all his t-shirts are too short, apart from that, not much doing today.

Tomorrow on the other hand, we've got a WHOLE lorra cleaning and tidying to do to sort our house out, I can't carry on with house in chaos anymore. Need to get it all organised and tidy, find a home for everything so that I can stay on top of it!

calsworld · 12/04/2008 22:02

Hey Diege, x posted! Love the lightness of the Pop, and the fact that when you fold it up it clips on both sides so holds together really well - loads of the other ones kind of sagged IYKWIM?

Lecture sounds tricky - rather you than me!!

calsworld · 12/04/2008 22:05

Hey tbbsb, upsy daisy pants sound cool! We bought DS a little soft iggle piggle, now when he's had his tea and he comes into the lounge to watch ITNG before bed, he goes and picks him up and sits him on his lap to watch it together! Very cute!

tinkerbellbringingsexyback · 12/04/2008 22:06

how sweet!!my daughter is 2 and a half
she has big musical upsy daisy and iggle piggle and all small beanie characters!!

calsworld · 12/04/2008 22:37

DS is only 16 months but Totally Addicted!!!

Tink - I have now clue how temping works but I thought a peak in temp was OV - which would have been your day 14 wouldn't it?

I can't make head or tail of FF - I've created a spreadsheet instead as I'm far more familiar with those!

Anyway, DH nagging that its bed time and he's probably right. Goodnight all...

MoosMa · 12/04/2008 23:25

Diege, don't you live in/near Manchester? If you'd looked out your window you'd have seen DH drive by (wih big binoculars that can see round corners to the M6)!

Diege · 13/04/2008 06:48

Morning!!! Come on you lot, out of your beds on this bright sunny morning ! .Better night with dds last night, and a 6.15 wake up call this morning, so quite pleased .
Will be looking out for dh in the Marathan with dds this monring, then mum and are coming over for the afternoon. Lecture planned, and all ready to write .
MOos, I'm about 25 miles from Manchester, in Warrington, so no doubt your dh would have been passing close by if he was heading South!
Anyone else hate The Hoobes?

kayzisexpecting · 13/04/2008 08:16

Morning all,

Sorry MoosMa. I hate the red ones. Everyone has red ones where I live and I refuse to be the same as everyone else!!

I might watch the Marathan today as its funny watching the people in their funny outfits.

Morning sickness appears to have gone now. But knowing my luck I'll get it when we're in London.

Have a good day everyone.

Disenchanted · 13/04/2008 09:44

Morning gals.

I did a couple of cheap tests form £1 shop and a very,v,v,v,v faint line came up,

so yesterday I did a 'predictor test' and it was negative

Am on CD31 today, AF came cd27 last time.

Have woken up today feeling very sick which could be PG but am SERIOSLY doubtful now and think AF is just late

Also the sickness could be a migrane starting which happens every months before AF. So she might show up soon.

ALso feel really dizzy today which Ive never had before.

Hope you are all well.

Anyone mear testing yet?
