I'm sorry. It's so tough. I'm almost running out of words to say but just hang in there. I know it has to happen eventually

It’s just so difficult isn’t it.
weve even started discussing alternative options… adoption etc…

Have you considered ivf if that's an option. I never asked you, how long have you been trying before your loss? It's bloody exhausting and no one who hadn't experienced loss or it not happening can understand.

What I will say is, I know you had your loss at Christmas but I hold out the belief that you can get pregnant and will again. Keep going.

I’ve made some enquiries about IVF, I think it’s going to be around £5000 and I need to lose around 3 stone in weight before we can start anything so I’m trying that at the moment.
but then I also think it’s a lot of money we could spend making memories with a child that needs a loving family.

Ella31 · 12/05/2024 10:17

11dpo bfn. Af should be here tomorrow. Onto month 6. I had a very emotional few days with the month that's in it. I met people and we were talking about ttc and all that. I explained how worried I was as this is the longest it's ever taken me and kindly they said the fact I'm only 6 months post partum, lost the boys, the grief and even just hormonally after twins is a lot. That I need to relax and it will happen.

But that's the trigger word for me. Relax. How, how is anyone supposed to relax. I always find it's people who ttc has been relatively without drama saying this.

Well done to you for bring so proactive. I know the hse (nhs) ones here are strict about bmi but some aren't. Though I can see why you want to be in best shape for this as well. I need to get myself in gear. Haven't shifted as much weight now since the boys as I'd like to.

I hope you get your bfp soon ladies! May I ask is that price quoted for one course? It seems much more better priced than the options I've been looking at!

Ella31 · 12/05/2024 12:40

Af just came. Absolutely devastated

So had a good cry yesterday. Rang my mother, she's my rock since my boys died. I kept saying, how can I be going into 6 months without a whisper of a line.

And she said 6 months, are you seriously counting the first 3/4 months. You were rushed into an emergency section. You had to give birth knowing one of your babies had died. You had to make the decision to turn off life support for his twin and he died in your arms. You had to bury your twin sons 6 weeks before Christmas and then get through Christmas knowing they should have been sitting with you as you rang in the new year. Your body gave birth 6 months ago to two babies, not 1. And finally the grief, on top of all that you have to live with the grief.

Part of me thinks that's true. It's a lot. And maybe my body is just taking time. Either way, I'm cycle day 2 today of round 6.

Well. Starting my peeing on ovulation sticks fun again ready for ovulation this weekend.

This is month 8 since we decide to start TTC but only our 4th cycle trying due to having to miss a few months with work and bits.

Fingers crossed for BFP in May for us all

i totally second what your mum says @Ella31 you’ve been through a massive trauma and your body is probably just taking some time. I’m so sorry about AF!

We’re cycle 5 now and this one has been a weird I’m usually spot on every month without fail. This cycle AF started 3 days early then lasted 3 days longer than usual and I’ve only today gotten a positive OPK at CD 17 I’m usually always CD13 so I’m fully expecting my next AF to be all over the shop. Or even better it doesn’t come.

My ovulation was 3 days late this month. Very odd month. Maybe your weird month will be the month @Beanie14

Beanie14 · 14/05/2024 10:56

@Ella31 yes that is strange. Why do our bodies do this? How are you feeling today?

I can only hope, when I got pregnant with my son I ovulated late too at CD 17 so maybe it’s a trend? I guess we’ll see

Ella31 · 14/05/2024 12:36

Morning all, how is everyone. I'm feeling better today. Cycle Day 3, ready to tackle this month. Apologies for my mini breakdown 2 days ago😅🤣 can I blame hormones 😅🤣

Trying to decide this month's approach. I'm thinking of just going for the fertile week this month. Did Smep last month and it was tough. Kind of felt by fertile week Dh had enough. I ovulate around day 20/22 so thinking going from day 15 would be more than enough

OP posts:
Beanie14 · 14/05/2024 13:03

This is what I did this months too @Ella31
every other day during fertile week. My OH had enough too by the end of it. It’s cause we both work shifts and do nights so we’re exhausted.
Were in the 2 week wait window now.

Exciting Beanie when will you test?

Beanie14 · 14/05/2024 16:13

Well my OPK was positive yesterday so I’m assuming ovulation is today, but my Flo app says AF due in 9 days so I really don’t know with the late ovulation this cycle.

narwhalsarereal · 14/05/2024 20:09

@Libbynznz today is cd10.
I usually start ovulation tests around cd9/10 as otherwise it gets so expensive and I'm pretty much spot on each month with ovulation on cd14/15
