Morning all, can't say I feel any cheerier today but we've resolved to go for the every other night sex throughout the whole of the cycle in an attempt to "relax" about TTC. Honestly as if that's even possible!

Glad to hear you had plenty of sushi LittleSquirt, I reckon you should just keep going for it, your next chance will be Jan 2009!

Scully hope you're having a better day.

Hello to everyone else Jaamy, ei, Lou and Sparkly and anyone else who's around. I love all the support on this board.

beaniesteve · 15/04/2008 09:33

Need a moan and winge.
On the way to work this morning my boyfriend suggested that if I am not pregnant this cycle we could have a rest for a couple of months. So I asked if he meant we would start using protection for a while and he said no. I don't think he understands that if we are having unprotected sex then there's no way I will just forget about hoping for a baby .

I'm not sure why he's suggested it. I mean he is as keen as me to have kids. I am 6 years older than him and I feel like I am running out of time so I just want to keep trying.

I just bought a CBFM and he is thinking about having a rest!

Oufton · 15/04/2008 09:55

Poor beanie that's a rather bizarre attitude! It's like when people tell you to relax whilst trying to conceive - how on earth is that possible? Unless I was solid drunk for a month I'd be thinking about it because it's impossible not to when it's your own body. Unprotected sex means you're trying as far as I'm concerned!

Is he perhaps feeling a little hard done by on the sperm bank front (as in feeling like one)?

beaniesteve · 15/04/2008 10:31

I dunno - we were generally chatting about our sex life and I said I was worried that we were going for it hell for leather while I was ovulating, but we don't seem to make the effort that much the rest of the time and I thought we needed to. Thing is it's me who's been too tired all this week, and I mean absolutely knackered. I fall asleep straight away at night which is quite unusual for me.

Anyway - we've decided on an early night tonight after some nice food.

Part of his justification was that we're going on holiday in early June, then Glastonbury and he said I would be able to have a better time if I wasn't stressing about TTC. I think his heart is in the right place but I don't want to give up

Oufton · 15/04/2008 10:56

I know what you mean, we're in much the same boat, making huge efforts around ovulation and then being too tired the rest of the time. I'm instigating an every other night this month to try and get us into the routine!

tbh I think the holiday and glasto are perfect times to be ttc because you'll not be worrying about normal day to day stuff that's going on and just having a good time so it would be crazy to stop now. It's sweet that he's thinking about you though, perhaps he's just worried that it's stressing you too much bless him.

JustJaamy · 15/04/2008 12:42

beanie - yes, perhaps DP is just trying to take some pressure off you. Bless them, men don't understand the way we can't turn off the part of our brain that builds us up every month to that much sort after BFP.

Scully - glad you are having a nice relaxing day. I agree - don't know what I'd do without my little monkeys

Oufton - here's hoping that you'll be so busy BDing that your BFP will creep up on oyu wihtout yoiu noticing.

Gosh Jan/Feb 09 is going to be a very busy time with all out newbies

Ei - how're you doing, hun?

SparklyGirlFriday · 15/04/2008 14:17

Oufton Hope you feel better soon. xx
BS We haven't had sex since OV which was a long time ago! Men aren't very good at saying the right things but he does seem to be thinking of you. Hope you have a lovely evening tonight.
Jaamy Hello. Hope you're ok. xx

lou2311 · 15/04/2008 19:36

Oufton · 16/04/2008 09:29

Morning, thanks to everyone for the good wishes, I'm feeling a little more upbeat now I'm getting towards the end of my period. I'll be starting the every-two-days jazz at the weekend, I've informed DH and he's starting to look at little nervous at the potential effort involved . I've also decided to go for acupuncture because I'm just too damn impatient to let things happen!

How are things going ei and scully, hope you're both ok. xx

Hello to all the recent posters Jaamy, beanie, lou, josie and sparkly, keep it up, it really cheers my day up popping on here!

Anyone close to testing, treats, jb?

beaniesteve · 16/04/2008 17:27

OH

Just went to the loo and I have a bit of pinkish blood. CD22! Thing is this cycle was the first I got any real spotting at the begingin of my period so I counted CD1 as the first proper flow which was 3 days after the first spotting, so now I am confused. Are my cycles getting shorter? FFS.

10DPO and I am not stupid enough to think it may be implantation bleeding

OH it's not fair!

SparklyGirlFriday · 16/04/2008 18:10

Lou Agree about the MN anger!!
Eleveld Thanks for doing the list again today. I meant to do it (to give you a break) but you beat me to it.
Oufton Goodbye AF-hope she doesn't come back for a while . I'm thinking of acupuncture but haven't looked into it yet.
BS Day 1 starts when AF does and not spotting .. did spotting look like this last month?. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an implantation bleed for you. [hugs]

beaniesteve · 16/04/2008 18:39

Hiya Sparkly: usually I don't get any spotting at all, last month was an exception and I was quite excited. I had pinkish discharge about 3 days before I got my full flow and my period was over a week late. This month it's looking like I've gone back to a 24 ish day cycle which is a bit of a disappointment seeing as my cycle was so long before. It's also my first month using a fertility monitor.

I'm so disappointed about my cycle remaining at 24 days and I don't want to tell my boyfriend about the spotting yet but at the same time I know it's probably silly of me to hope I won't be in full flow by Friday ... ho hum.

JustJaamy · 16/04/2008 19:00

BS - . Hope you're wrong. Didn't your cycle length increase last time or am I getting mixed up?

Oufton - LOL at your nervous DH!

Hello Sparkly, Eleveld, Lou and everyone else!

JustJaamy · 16/04/2008 19:04

Sorry BS - crossed post. Interruptions from DDs. Not silly for hoping that AF won't arrive. We have to keep hoping otherwise we'd be completely miserable all the time. Bet when you tell DB he'll be just as disappointed as you.

lou2311 · 16/04/2008 20:42
