Is anyone else bored silly with temping? I have been contemplating stopping temping and OPK'ing. I have regular cycles, have ov'd each month on day 14 or 15 so not really sure what continuing to temp is giving me (other than lovely support from all of you of course).

tinkerbelldust · 23/04/2008 11:22

ff says

ewcm may suggest ovulation between cd30-33
today was my last high temp says i need 3 more to confirm ovulation
have had ewcm since thurs drying up now.
also increased sex drive

tinkerbelldust · 23/04/2008 11:24

not bored silly just feel like throwingthermometer out of window as not sure if i have ovulated this month ff doesnt help
ant thoughts clairpo

ClairePO · 23/04/2008 11:31

Love you new name Clair I have been thinking of changing mine too but not sure what to.

Tink just looked at your chart, I don'tthink you have ov'd yet. Odd though if your EWCM is drying up. But then I find I get most about 2-3 days before ovulation.

have now been on high fertility for 9 days

I have bought a digital clearblue Ov kit and I'm using that as well this month only because I think my persona is scamming me.
plus i like the thought of a smiley face telling me i'm about to ovulate

Tink it doesn't look as if you've O'd yet. did you say you last cycle was 55 days? your chart looks similar to fruity's atm. if you have another 55 day cycle you would probably expect not to O until cd40 ish, so maybe next week you'll see the shift needed.

Of course I truly hope it's closer than another week for you

Squackycake · 23/04/2008 13:26

just to add for ClairePO, once ff has given me O and a coverline I'm not going to temp at all. I'm just going to wait until 12dpo and then test if no period, cos last month I watched my chart with bated breath for dips/rises/spotting/signs etbloodycetera.

I'm not doing that this month.

PrePG · 23/04/2008 13:29

Sorry, Tink, but I have to agree with Claire. Are you sure you're taking your temp every day at the same time before doing anything else, ie talking, getting out of bed, going to the bathroom, etc? Did you say it was your first cycle off the pill? It may take a while for your cycle to settle down. I know my cycle was longer first month off BCP.

Claire I know what you mean, but if I were to stop temping then I would just wonder all the time... But if you don't think you would, maybe you need a break - but don't you dare leave the thread!

Squackycake · 23/04/2008 13:32

Where's fym? she's 2 days late, eek!

ClairePO · 23/04/2008 13:35

Squacky you have changed your name too! I like it.

I like your idea about not temping after O. I may stop now until AF gets here then start again. In fact I will. And decide when AF is here if I want to start again! Leave me on the list just in case.

FYM where arrrre yoooouuuuuu?

tinkerbelldust · 23/04/2008 13:39

cheers sorky

i have had ewcm since thurs and increased sex drive?
ff analyzer says :- ewcm may suggest ovulation between day 30-33
cd33(today)last temp shift.
great idea sorky to stop temping once you get ovualtion confirmed

Squackycake · 23/04/2008 13:41

I'm convinced that looking and wondering about charts is not the way to successful pg (imho), too much stressing!

I bet it'll be liberating Claire I really do think so. Last month I stared at my chart so much first willing O, then an implantation dip, then a triphasic chart and look where it got me .
Nope not again, temp to make sure I've O'd then leave it to nature and get back to some normal life rather than the madness of a 2ww.

Well, mini rant over, please keep me on the list too and I'll keep checking on everyone as well.

PrePG · 23/04/2008 13:42

Ooooooh, FYM!!!!! Fingers crossed for you!

So how do I know who's changed their name to what? Is there a place to look? And how do I change my name as well? I don't have another name in mind at the moment, but I'm wondering if PrePG is negative karma or something - like if I don't start thinking positively, I'll be 'PRE'-PG forever!

tinkerbelldust · 23/04/2008 13:46

hi prepreg
any thought on my chart?

have had ewcm since thurs drying up now and increased sex drive
ff reckons ewcm may suggest ovulation between cds 30-34
have removed temps as had a bug then

PrePG · 23/04/2008 13:54

Tink I commented a few replies up on this page.

You may want to have a search through the FF gallery to see what a typical chart looks like. You need to have three temps in a row that are all higher than the previous six in order for FF to indicate that you've ovulated. Your two most recent are both LOWER than ALL but one of your previous temperatures, so no I don't think you've ovulated yet, sorry - and no one on this board will be able to tell by looking at your chart unless your next 3 temps are higher than 36.8 degrees.

Also, if it helps - I usually get EWCM a few days before I O and by the time I do O it's already started drying up, so maybe yours is coming.

tinkerbelldust · 23/04/2008 13:56

cheers pp

Squackycake · 23/04/2008 13:59

My new name is squack, but i've locked down variations of it for seasonal changes etc. My interim name is squackycake so people can still know who I am lol

Go to my mumsnet, enter details, go to registration, enter a different name and save changes. that simple. x

Squackycake · 23/04/2008 14:24

I've updated the temp charts thread.

Please click the "watch thread" link next to "threads I'm on" as then we won't have to keep bumping it so often

fym

I'm gonna have to get this hypnotherapy CD, I'll go hunt out the link, I'd never thought of putting it on my MP3 player until someone else posted that.

PrePG · 23/04/2008 16:04

FYM But what a great outlook. Good for you and best of luck for this cycle!
