Second peak day and I am wondering if we are doing enough. Very unspontaneous sex last night but at least the BF is happy to go on demand , before that we had sex on Wednesday and Thursday and will do again tonight and maybe tomorrow. I hope I am catching these eggs in time!

PrePG · 07/04/2008 11:02

Thanks Lottie I always forget how to post my FF chart, so only managed to when there were explicit instructions a few posts up! but will post on the chart thread now that i know how!

I agree that no other signs point to O and it seems like FF is grasping at straws! Also, my spotting was more like a light period on Saturday morning (just one instance really) but if I record that FF starts a new cycle - I know it's not time for a new cycle! I thought temping was supposed to help make sense of my cycle! {sighs}

That's okay, Lottie no one could possibly remember everyone's individual situations on here! It's my first cycle since MC, but I charted three cycles before I got pregnant. Actually, I didn't temp the first cycle off the pill, but I kept track of CM - this cycle is looking similar, which makes sense in terms of my hormones re-regulating themselves. My second cycle off the pill, which was the first I temped, was okay, but things really fell into place on the third cycle. We're not TTC for this cycle, I'm just anxious to O and then get my period so that we can start again I'm so impatient!

PrePG, it almost looks like FF is following the old rule of "three over six" for your temps. Maybe you have O'd and just had a slow rise? I agree with Lottie. I've been doing FF for 22 cycles and it usually sorts itself out given enough time/information!

I'm back after a fabulous week off work. I didn't go away, but my sister came over from the US - haven't seen her for 2.5 years, my brother came up from London - 5 years since the whole family were together . Spent a lot of time with her childhood friends and their kids. Also got a new job, which I am extra excited about. No more money but I have been stagnating here for the last eighteen months and the new job will be fun . Of course, now I'm thinking how awful it would look if I turned up pregnant - but that is one disaster I am prepared to face.

Just skimmed through the posts to get me up to date - think it might have been another thread, but most amused by Ready and Lottie's enquiries about prams and nursery places for their theoretical babies - those positive thinking CD's seem to be working . Lottie, as ever you behave just like me with your projecting temps and positive OPK's - at the moment FF says I am 4dpo, but messing about with FF shows a couple of higher temps will change that.

Need to check out the weight loss thread next - nearly back up to my terrifying weight due to a week of dining out afternoon teas and saying sod it to the low alcohol consumption. Very pleased to see a BFP - we're taking it steadily, but eventually we'll all make it off this thread.

My temps this month have been a bit erratic due to late nights and lie ins and occasionally leaping out of bed to deal with cats threatening to vomit , so I will try not to expect too much from it. When AF next arrives I'm going to work out when would be a good time to plan our summer holiday - we'll be cycling again, but perhaps somewhere a little cooler so we feel more up to other holiday activities . Have to enjoy baby unfriendly holidays while we can - okay so I said that last year, and the year before, and...

I wish someone had hidden my last HPT....I caved in last night and got a BFP and this morning I had a massive dip down in temp. Saying that though, AF not arrived and I am pretty much always on time or early - I suspect she's just round that corner. I also have sore boobs, which I don't usually get anymore (or do I - maybe I've not paid much attention to it recently and suddenly have....). Don't know why I'm speculating really - I just need to WAIT AND SEE !! although I think the temp (massive nosedive) is the surest indicator that I'm not PG....Already decided that we won't try this month. I would have a dd of mid Jan and as DS was early and also I had to have emerg c-section I suspect that they'd whip another baby out a couple of weeks early which would end Dec. I did also think that maybe I should just throw caution to the wind but I don't think one month will make a huge amount of difference.....(let's see if I'm tempted )

PrePG · 07/04/2008 12:57

herbgarden Maybe it's an implantation dip??? Fingers crossed for you!!!!

I don't get the not wanting to have babies born at certain times of the year. I guess I got it at first - I'm American and I was trying to time things so that it would always be a convenient time (ie cheap!) for parents to visit for birth and subsequent birthdays no matter which country we were living in. But by now, I'm just so desperate I don't care how or when it's born, I just want a little one

prepg....I know where you're coming from - a lot of people don't - I have a summer birthday and have always been able to have parties outside/bbq's etc and it's always been great (except usually it was near exams) ...but I know friends of mine who have had birthdays round christmas/NY and I just wonder if their presents and celebrations get a bit "lost" in the Xmas stuff..... I've only been TTC no 2 for a month or so and I suspect like you, given a few more months, I'll not give a monkeys when or where just a healthy baby !!

I've been fantasising over implantation dips too...any other month I'd really not be imagining alsorts. I wish now that AF would just arrive and put me out of my misery....

herbgarden · 07/04/2008 13:20

Lottie oops sorry to get you all excited, realised I put a BFP and really meant a BFN - you see I've gone off my rocker already imagining alsorts......

sarah76 · 07/04/2008 13:34

poor Herby, the 2WW is sh-te isn't it....

Another American here, I'm from Wisconsin, been in London 5.5 years. What about you?

PrePG · 07/04/2008 14:08

Hi sarah I'm from New York. Been here (also London!) 4years now - just did British citizenship actually! Still need to sort out my passport though!

I don't mean to suggest that anyone is wrong in how or when they choose to TTC, I guess I just don't understand the concept of self control in general . It's all I can do right now than to reach into my ovaries and pull an egg out I'm so desperate to ovulate! By now patience has completely gone out the window! (and I think maybe taken my sanity with it!!) Before I miscarried, my due date would've been the week after a huge thing at work, and I was slightly anxious about how the whole situation was going to play out, but now I guess I've got a new perspective on it.

beaniesteve · 07/04/2008 14:26

"Ok... my bbt book says ?For most women, 35.6 to 36.7 ºc taken orally is considered normal before ovulation, this increases to between 36.1 and 37.2 after.?"

I had a second peak today on my clearblue monitor and my temp was 37.1.

would this suggest that I mah have already Ovulated? I am on CD 12/13

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1f84db

beaniesteve · 07/04/2008 14:27

I have lots of EWCM and I had sex last night and 2 days before that

PrePG · 07/04/2008 14:37

beanie it looks like you might have ovulated yesterday, but FF won't confirm ovulation until you have three high temps in a row. I woud BD whenever you have EW!

beaniesteve · 07/04/2008 14:42

Well - the EWCM only really happened today, it was a bit stretchy yesterday but not great. I hope I've not missed it. We couldn't do the deed on Friday because we were at the in-laws (his brother's) in a small house sleeping right next door, and on Saturday we were knackered! Bugger!

If I actually ovulated yesterday would having sex last night be too late

beaniesteve · 07/04/2008 14:45

oh - I had a peak today, a Peak yesterday. I thought A peak was the best time for conception, not an indication that you HAD ovulated.

PrePG · 07/04/2008 15:02

Sorry, I'm not really sure about OPK's as I've never used them. I was just judging by your temps. You've had a huge temp jump this morning - was there anything that you've done that might've affected your temp - ie drinking yesterday, exercise, etc? I guess ideally you would've had sex on CD10 & 11, but you did on the O date and a few days before that, so it seems as if you're covered. Fingers crossed for you!

I'm just looking at my chart again - at first I thought my temps looked way too low to suggest I ovulated already, but I checked my previous cycle (the one I got pregnant) and my post-O temp range was about 36.38 to 36.59 and then I seemed to go triphasic. This month post O according to FF has been 36.31 to 36.52, which isn't that far off... So maybe I DID O! That would make me the happiest girl on MN!!!!
