Thought it was time we had a new home, seeing as we've almost outgrown the old one. So in honour to Scorpio, Sybil, BB and toomuch (hope I didn't forget anyone ) here we are - in the company of pregnant (and cheerful) ladies

Gilly I am proof that lack of symptoms doesn't mean no BFP, even after the two week wait so please don't worry about that.

Mistlethrush I had my first scan at 6+3 - the doctor certainly saw the heartbeat and I suspect if I'd looked more closely, I might have been able to, I was just so relieved everything was ok that I took his word for it. Last week with the second scan, I had a different doctor and she zoomed in a lot more so everything was much larger scale and she pointed out moving hands and feet. Good luck with the apron

mistlethrush · 23/09/2008 12:23

First scan with Ds at 6wks (or 6+1) - all we saw was whopping great heartbeat!

At 9wks, ds wouldn't keep still - nurses called him a boogie baby. Same true now - very difficult to keep his bottom on the chair at mealtimes. Quite into boogieing as well!

BTW, I had an extra set of tests and scan privately - effectively risk testing - for me this was very reassuring - and, if, heaven forbid, that there was anything wrong I would have wanted to know about it sooner rather than later.

MrsMcJnr · 23/09/2008 23:11

Gilly - so far so good I was in Gib a few weeks back met my grandparents off their cruise ship for lunch and stocked up on British things for DS

nomoremagnolia · 29/09/2008 13:07

Oh Gilly I'm sorry you're not feeling positive and also hoping that you're wrong! As you say, at least you've got your IVF appointment soon.

Nomore Thanks for bumping us out of oblivion! How are you?

I'm ok - got an appointment through for my dating scan today - 2 weeks away (will be 13 weeks then). Just want to wish away the next couple of weeks and then hopefully we'll be able to start telling people!

Big wave to everyone else!

nomoremagnolia · 30/09/2008 14:31

Gilly sorry I didn't think you wouldn't tell us but then you have been very quiet!!
hobnobs I know you think two weeks to wait for scan is ages but it doesn't seem 5 minutes (to me anyway) since you got your BFP! What do you think your EDD will be?
I'm not up to much at the moment, have picked up my knitting needles again after a bit of a summer break but no news on the baby front, we're expecting to wait til at least next year before starting anymore IVF and that's only if we can get the money together...

Gilly So sorry . I was really hoping that your instincts were wrong and that this was going to be your month. Look after yourself - I hope you have something nice to take your mind off ttc to look forward to.

scorpio1 · 01/10/2008 16:24

Gilly - for you. Hang on in there.

Mimi is fine, 24 weeks old now - well over 5 months, OMG! She is so beautiful.

Hi guys, sorry I've been lousy at staying in touch. I had really bad mastitus - ouch

Toomuch - how can you be that close to giving birth! Can't wait for the announcement, and good luck for the next scan to you too Hobnobs.

Gilly - sorry it didn't work out for you this time. Fingers crossed for the next one.

Hello to everyone else!

Jamie is 16 weeks now and adorable but what a pest! He has been doing nursing strike for around 8 weeks now and will only feed when asleep and won't take a bottle. We are both a bit exhasuted by it all but need to keep going until 6 month s and weaning. Otherwise thouhg, he is the most happy and grogeous baby.

hobnobs · 03/10/2008 14:59

Gilly Sorry you're having such a bad time at work at the moment - you don't really need all the extra stress on top of everything else. I know what you mean about the idea of ttc being a bit of fun going out the window! As Lottie says, at least the success rates are much higher with IVF. Reading other people's experiences, I think I was the exception to the rule with IUI.

Sybil Hope the mastitis has gone - it sounds very painful. I just spoke to a friend who had it really badly with her first DS. Her 3 month old DD has been a breeze in comparison (and sleeps through the night ).

Lottie Impressed at the lack of waiting list at Guys! You seem to have worked your way through the system pretty fast which is great, and you've got a good back up plan.

I will be 12 weeks on Sunday (in theory this gives me a due date of 19th April but will wait and see what they say at the dating scan (a week on Monday). Last time (9+4), I was measuring three or four days less though I think it's not an exact science at such an early stage.

Hello to everyone else.

mistlethrush · 07/10/2008 13:27

HN - what - already!!! Ds always measured over the dates - which we were pretty certain about - and got increasingly in front of them. He was already ahead by 9wks...

Sybil - hope you're feeling better now.

Sorry been a bit out of touch. Somehow this dropped off the list and I had trouble finding it again...

scorpio1 · 08/10/2008 11:54

Hello all, goodness very quiet here! Mimi has started wenaing now, last weekend. She adores it!

We have ordered a tripp trapp; natural, red baby set and red stripe seat cushion & harness (for you virtual shoppers)

We have started to ttc again, but is going to take a longer time for me because i am still fully BF. (6 months before) then dh will get the snip, lol, and we are chatting about me egg donating.

Hope you are all well enough

mistlethrush · 08/10/2008 15:03

Ds has triptrap natural with the red stripe seat cover - not that we use this bit anymore - too much gets dropped, no baby bars etc as not safe to climb in and out. Fantastic chair - he's really happy in it, we use it for all arts and crafts as well. (paint washes off too! )

gilly Sounds exciting - we'll be waiting til Apr 09 to do IVF again but if you've any questions in the meantime I'll do my beat to help you out
Seeing as there's not ttc news from chez nomore I'll tell you something else - I've just knitted the cutest turtle keyring! I'll try to put a picture on my profile.

I got the pattern from Ravelry. I didn't make it up - I'm nowhere near that clever!
