@Meryemg are you just taking them till ovulation or all month?

SouthwestSis · 08/03/2024 13:59

Hi all, I'm D10 PO today, feeling nothing unusual but not getting my hopes up as not much BD happened this month.
Anyone else at a similar stage of their cycle?

@Meryemg are you just taking them till ovulation or all month?

All month everyday as they have also worked wonders for pms. Have you been directed different?
Lots of baby dust your way soon be time to find out the few days before is the worst.
I am day 15 today but it wont be this month as we haven't had chance to bd the last 4 days due to illness x

I’m cd2 at the moment.
I’ve read to stop at ovulation and I’ve read all month too. I’ve heard it can help pre period spotting which I get a lot of from 7dpo sometimes. also pre period down moods are bad for me too so I’m hoping that it helps that and also gets me pregnant too!
🤞🏻🤞🏻 for us!

Meryemg · 09/03/2024 08:29

For me it's really helped pre men mood etc so i intend to continue throughout. We managed a bd last night thibk im out this month but never know only takes one time hope everyone is well and has a lovely weekend x

I turned 38 in December, and TTC my first. I've had advanced excision for endometriosis 8 months ago and all went well. I have 1 fallopian tube but both ovaries are fine. This thread is so refreshing to read.

SouthwestSis · 09/03/2024 19:20

Hi @RoseWinter, best of luck with your TTC!

Can I join? I am 37 and trying to conceive our first.

I started trying in June '23 and got pregnant after 5 cycles. We spent £2k having tests in those 5 months as I was terrified I might have something wrong, but hormones and ultrasounds and HyCoSy showed everything normal. I found the process very stressful and I was anxious the whole time.

Overjoyed to become pregnant, but fast forward to end of Jan and I found out the baby has stopped growing at 8/9 weeks (thought I was 13). Devastated, but accepted it now. Feel a little concerned I have left it too late and have no good eggs left.

Anyway, back on it now, just finished my first post MMC period. Trying to just DTD every other day from the end of period to about CD21 and hope rather than tracking etc as it made me stressed.

Wishing everyone the best of luck x

MrBigsCat · 11/03/2024 10:51

Welcome @Orlahoping and so sorry about your loss ❤️

ive only had my ovulation checked but I’m going to do 3 months of agnus cactus and then ask for more bloods to be done to check other things and make sure everything is as it should be.

you are only 37 you will have plenty good eggs left, I’m 2 years ahead of you and I’m still hopeful for mine
also 5 cycles is really fast hope it’s as fast for you again this time. Just try to keep positive and know your baby is on the way

Orlahoping · 11/03/2024 11:01

Thank you @MrBigsCat! Finding it hard to keep positive but I know the odds are in my favour really.
Good luck with the Angus Catsus. I was taking it the cycle I conceived but reckon that was just coincidence as I only took it for 2 weeks.

So had my chat at the doc today for my hormone test results.
AMH is 0.13 which I think is really bad , currently back to work for the afternoon and plastering on a happy face while crying inside

Orlahoping · 11/03/2024 11:36

@susie1984234 I'm sorry to hear that. I know it is really rough to get less than positive test results.

However, I have been told that AMH really matters for predicting eggs you get from IVF cycles and not as a predictor for natural pregnancy. Also, it doesn't give any clues as to the quality of your eggs. Finally, it does go up and down month to month.

I realise that might not help reassure you, but I don't think AMH is everything.

susie1984234 · 11/03/2024 12:44

@Orlahoping thank you! I'm definitely going to investigate a bit more later. Just the initial shock is hard, why is everything so difficult?
But will keep trying in the meantime - hoping to be one of the success stories very soon!

Orlahoping · 11/03/2024 12:52

@susie1984234 yeah...it seems so unfair when for some it's super straightforward and then for us/others it's not. Fingers crossed for us all.

susie1984234 · 11/03/2024 13:07

@Orlahoping I can definitely feel some good news coming on this thread ✨

RoseWinter · 11/03/2024 17:09

Feeling pretty rubbish today. I've come on 2 days earlier than expected. Last week my awesome friend announced her and her partner are expecting. Super happy for them but another kick in the gut that its not happened for me yet. Then mothers day was pretty rough as my forgetful mother-in-law was asking all her adult children with kids ans new borns what they recieved for mothers day and then went on to ask me what I recieved for mother's day before realising what she said and rolling her eyes at her own comment.

Trying to keep hopeful. Possibility of IVF is currently underway. All tests done now and waiting to speak to the fertility doctor at the NHS Hospital about results before he refers me to the IVF specialist there. They said it'll take 10 weeks for the results appointment 🫣 so god knows how long it will take for actually getting the process started. In the meantime, we are naturally trying x

MrBigsCat · 15/03/2024 07:07

@RoseWinter sorry you are having a hard time, hopefully you are feeling a bit better now, I always feel better once my period starts properly for some reason, it’s like a surge of hormones make me feel better or something.

I’m having to reduce my dose of agnus cactus, I’m getting headaches all afternoon and it does say that’s a side effect and to reduce the dosage.

im cd 8 here so just started opk testing and just going to continue to BD eod this month

Orlahoping · 15/03/2024 08:41

@RoseWinter Mother's Day was rough over here too. I am so sorry your MIL was so insensitive.

@MrBigsCat sorry about the headaches! I go a little crazy with supplements sometimes...I spent over £300 last month 😱.

This month I have been recommended inositol as I have slightly elevated testosterone (but no other PCOS markers).

I think we are about CD11 now. Just been trying every other day since the weekend and will continue till about CD21. I always used to ovulate between CD14 and CD18 but I don't know how that is going to be post loss.

Happy Friday everyone

onetwoandthree · 19/03/2024 13:42

👋 hoping I can join too please?

37 ttc #3 for 26 months now. Conceived within a couple of months for my previous two pregnancies. They are now 10 and 7. Worried something must be amiss with myself or hubby now. The constant waiting and hoping is really draining as you know.

I ordered a hormone test from hertility recently which suggests I possible have a slightly lower than average ovarian reserve for someone my age and they have recommended I get a pelvic ultrasound to confirm antral follicle count. Been to GP finally two weeks ago and have had bloods taken today. I have another gp appt next week to discuss the results. Dh sent off his SA package (Ordered online) today so eagerly awaiting those results too. He’s also trying to make an app with the GP but no luck so far. My doc said we both need to be seen and tested by the GP before any referral can be made to fertility.

We started to take a new combo of supplements a couple of weeks ago in order to try to improve sperm/egg quality.

Sorry for the long post 🤦‍♀️

Meryemg · 30/03/2024 08:16

Hi guy's hope everyone is well and welcome any new members wanting to join and share there journey. Any happy news to be updated here yet or are we all still trying... I am currently coming up yo ovulation not that I track anymore. Goodluck all

teampacey · 30/03/2024 13:27

Hi! I'm just coming up to ovulation (tomorrow or Mon). Feeling downhearted this month- my lovely friend just told me she's pregnant the other day and I'm over the moon for her but wish it was me too. My husband keeps telling me it will happen for us but I'm just not convinced I have any good eggs left (I'm 39). We're planning for IVF abroad in Sept if no joy before then, currently on cycle #17 ttc our 1st together but 3rd for each of us. All tests fine.

Orlahoping · 30/03/2024 14:34

Period started for me yesterday... first proper cycle after MMC. On to cycle 2...
