@Meryemg know what you mean! You get so disheartened that you feel like stopping don't you! I haven't got to that point yet as trying to distract myself but if we get past spring and it still hasn't happened then I will start to panic. Hope you are feeling better about things today?! X

teampacey · 29/02/2024 16:37

I'm 39 and ttc #3, first baby with my second husband. He had a vasectomy reversal Jan 2023 and all our recent tests came back good. We had a chemical last month and I have a HSG tomorrow. Hoping cycle #16 is the one 🤞

Meryemg · 29/02/2024 16:48

Hi guy's hope everyone is well x

Happy 1st march everyone
im 8dpo today and will do a test even though it’s far too early!!
how’s everyone doing?

susie1984234 · 01/03/2024 06:59

Im 13 DPO today and tested BFN - but we did only DTD once as partner is on holiday. Oh well back to it next month!

MrBigsCat · 01/03/2024 07:13

I’ve been obsessing with the opks and dtd at every given opportunity, but going to try just every 2nd day through the fertile week and see how that goes for us over next few months

teampacey · 01/03/2024 07:49

Morning everyone. I've got my HSG this afternoon- bit nervous as seen various comments about whether it hurts or not. Some say lots and others not at all!

I've never had a hsg so can't help but would like to wish you well with it all.

Sorry to hear you had a bfn at 13dpo but you're not out out till the red lady shows

And good luck to anyone nearing test day x

@teampacey it shouldn’t hurt it was totally fine when I got it and was interesting chatting to the staff about what they were doing etc
what time is the appt?

MrBigsCat · 01/03/2024 14:51

I’m bfn today at 8dpo

teampacey · 01/03/2024 16:21

Thanks guys. It was this afternoon, it was fine until he pushed the contrast through. I had a massive really painful cramp. He said everything looked clear though and hopefully has flushed out any mucus. He will see me in 4 months if no success before then.
I'm now crampy and bleeding so curled up on the sofa ready to have a Chinese takeaway for tea.
Due to ovulate next week....

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

teampacey · 01/03/2024 16:22

@MrBigsCat still early yet. I've never got a BFP before 10dpo

Started ttc at 37, still going at almost 42. 15 miscarriages down. Transferring last embryos, I’m almost done now, and on immunes treatment. It works for some, doesn’t for everyone.

teampacey · 03/03/2024 11:21

@Meryemg thanks! The cramps and bleeding had stoped by yesterday morning so we were able to crack on! I'm trying SMEP this month so day off today and then gearing up for Mon/tue/Wed when I'm due to ovulate. I've got to go away for work overnight on Tuesday which is a pita but we'll just have to have an early morning go on Tuesday and late night Wednesday. So spontaneous lol!
I've also got pressed to use this month too but forgot yesterday in the heat of the moment!

teampacey · 03/03/2024 11:22

@Wednesdaysotherchild fingers crossed for this transfer for you. Must be so tough

susie1984234 · 03/03/2024 16:25

AF arrived for me yesterday. Waiting on hormonal test results, trying to think positive and do what I can from my end.

MrBigsCat · 03/03/2024 17:41

10dpo started brown spotting so I think I’m out this cycle ☺️
onto cycle #10

Wanderdust · 04/03/2024 21:00

Started spotting today, right on cue, CD10 - proper AF will start tomorrow. Had a good old cry, seriously thinking of getting a private opinion as getting impatient lol.

Snap, me too cycle buddy lol xxx

MrBigsCat · 04/03/2024 22:01

@Wanderdust oh yea! Been ttc almost the same time too and similar age.
How did your ovulation test go?

Wanderdust · 06/03/2024 07:21

Annoyingly, I've heard nothing - the nurse said they'd only phone me if there was an issue but I'd like to discuss the results with someone so will chase!

Weirdly, AF hasn't properly started for me yet. Just two days of spotting, wondering if that's actually a good sign that the B6 is starting to have an effect already?! I know it's supposed to stop spotting but in my head, it's my LP trying to drag out ha.

Wanderdust · 06/03/2024 07:22

How is everyone else doing, where are you all at? 😁

flowersinthecloud · 06/03/2024 12:55

Hello, this is my first ever mumsnet post! I am 37 and just started ttc. I've only just stopped the pill after being on it for nine years so understand it could take my body a couple of months to adapt. I am not sure if my cycles would be classed as regular, before the pill my AF came every month but never to the exact day (+/- 5 days), which I'm also conscious could make things more difficult and potentially may have something undiagnosed. I'm terrified I've left it too late and feel a bit isolated and surrounded by people who have young children which I am finding a little difficult as DH and I begin this journey. There are so many unknowns, so it's nice to have the support of this thread, thank you for starting it and welcoming me in.

Revelatio · 06/03/2024 13:18

@BabyBorn Sorry I missed your question earlier! Yes have had loads of scans and all seems fine, bloods were normal, I had about 11 follicles they could see which I think is average for my age.

I had a call with an acupuncturist and they advised seeing a specialist nutritionist as it’s probably down to egg quality, they said acupuncture has no proven effect on egg quality.

I’m not sure IVF is a viable option at my age, wouldn’t want to get my hopes up or waste money!
