Thought I’d make a new thread for those of us Ttc in March 2024. I know some of us will cross over from end of Feb to March! Wishing everyone all the luck ✨❤️

@Dogscanlookup would it be a case of your GP doesn't know much around this area so is reluctant to prescribe because that's what mine is like! I ended up paying privately to get progesterone prescription after 2 miscarriages at 8/9 weeks respectively. My gp wouldn't prescribe it as didn't know enough about it!

Hiya, would you mind explaining how you got that prescribed privately? I wouldn’t have a clue where to go! Was that through a fertility clinic? Or a private gynae? Thank you

pleurotus · 07/03/2024 12:31

Awww I'm so happy to see you guys get some positive tests! Very very exciting and wishing the rest of you all of the luck in the coming days.

I'm going to take a wee break (literally) from Mumsnet as I've spent way more time than I care to admit trawling through threads. I'll probably be back as I approach Ovulation 😅

@Daisychain27 yay twins! Hopefully you managed to catch ovulation - my Flo app is always way off to premom but I've been using the clearblue ovulation tests and pretty sure I ovulated day 18 (last Saturday). When is AF due for you?
We were, by chance, away for the three days before, ovulation day, and the day after so we turned it into a weekend of BD-ing...🤣 We need to move out of our house for a few weeks next cycle so we can get it rewired and will be living with the in-laws, so wanted to make the most of our change this month before the fun stops for a cycle!

@waltzingintomonday I think AF is going to be due about 16th March so I’ve got a good while to go yet! What about you?

Oh I love it when the timing works out like that, so many of my friends say they conceived when away as they weren’t as stressed and more relaxed!! Got everything crossed for you, sounds promising! Def makes sense to get the most out of this cycle, my partner works away sometimes and it’s been frustrating when we can’t BD at the right time, so I agree you’ve got to go for it when you get the chance!

I think I spoke too soon on the not spotting though, my CM today had the slightest tiniest brown tinge :( here we go again!

Daniki · 07/03/2024 12:43

@Daisychain27 so I'm in Ireland so will be diff if you're the NHS but I paid privately to see a fertility specialist, she specialises in recurrent miscarriages, as I didn't want to wait to have the third to be seen publicly!
Good job as I haven't been able to get pregnant since the second loss 🙈 well i had a chemical last May but unsure if they take that into account!

Thank you! I’ve looked into private fertility specialists, the ones in my area do a lot of tests for about £250 but progesterone isn’t one of them which I find crazy? It’s another £200 on top!

CadoAvo · 07/03/2024 13:20

@Daniki reassuring to hear. Thank you!

DaringlyDizzy · 07/03/2024 11:47

ARGH the pharmacy has no FRER!!!! Ive been to three. So today's test is below. I think I am pregnant? Too scared to let it be real. This was taken 4 min of POS so cant be an evap can it?? Or is 4 min enough time for an EVAP?

This looks really really promising! 🤞🏼

emmatcc1 · 07/03/2024 13:28

Wow so many positives already!! I’m holding in wee as long as I can to do a test later.

Daniki · 07/03/2024 13:33

@Daisychain27 that's madness! I paid €200 initially had all my bloods etc done and got prescription aswell and then just went to my GP every cycle when I was in letrozole and got the 21 day blood test (as it was miles cheaper and I could email the results to specialist). Paid €400 again then as we got referred on for further treatment and this was more in-depth with my partners sperm been tested etc and a plan set in place for the follicle tracking and trigger shot etc. it's been a long road 🥹

Dogscanlookup · 07/03/2024 13:34

@ThingsLineUp your comment just made me feel so much better because it’s true. Although does seem coincidence I spotted this morning too? How did your first test go?
@DaringlyDizzy ohhh that’s so exciting that looks like a really obvious postitive!
it’s all starting to happen with the BFPs!

Dogscanlookup · 07/03/2024 13:36

@Daisychain27 it sadly was after my second MC. The gynae consultant said she usually looks into issues after only two MCs, most are after min three. And same time she prescribed me the progesterone.

emmatcc1 · 07/03/2024 14:56

Well the clearblue is as negative as it can be. My cycle must be a bit messed up causing weird symptoms.

TTC1990 · 07/03/2024 14:58

Oh wow congrats @Chaz693 and @DaringlyDizzy both look positive to me!!

I’m CD15 and still getting the flashing smiley. Thought I would have had my peak by now! Partner is away from tomorrow and we have DTD the past 3 days. Will this be enough?! It’s so hard to plan BD around life!!

These positive are giving me so much hope! So chuffed for you guys x

SummerSun24 · 07/03/2024 15:24

Congratulations @RW269 !! That looks too strong to me to be an evap, plus not massively outside the time frame (as in an hour later). How lovely we have positives starting!! And how nice a little chat like this can make you happy for strangers on the internet ☺️

Holding out until Saturday I only have clear and simple ones which aren't very sensitive at all apparently 😬 not that'll it'll probably stop me tomorrow morning...

babycandy · 07/03/2024 15:43

eeeek! I took a Clearblue and there’s an incredibly faint blue line.
Could be a evap line though. Not due af until next Tuesday so will wait and see 🥺

RW269 · 07/03/2024 15:47

@SummerSun24 thanks! So nervous to do another test in the morning for my fingers crossed!!
Can’t wait to hear your update!! Saturday will soon be here! :D

@babycandy got my fingers crossed for you!!!

I was so excited to get home and take a test, but no it was negative 😩

RW269 · 07/03/2024 16:21

@Daniki got my fingers crossed you get that positive soon! How many days until your af is due? There’s still time if AF hasn’t arrived! Sending love !

This might be a stuuuuupid question - but we move ha.

When you do a strip test and it comes back positive and a second is done on a clearblue or something a little more reliable to double check it is a positive - do you use the same pot (if you collect in a pot) or do you wait for a second wee? If that makes any sense at all!

This isn't my circumstances at the moment, I'm 3DPO TTC#1, but just want to check what's more reliable, because knowing me I'll get the super faint positive at some point (hopefully anyway) and want to double check immediately!

emmatcc1 · 07/03/2024 17:21

@JBxox Same pot if if you saved it but better to wait until next morning to see progression.

Dogscanlookup · 07/03/2024 17:31

@Daniki oh I’m sorry!! Could it still be too early?

Love this 🤣^^

Daniki · 07/03/2024 19:03

Possibly I'm still only 10dpo and my first pregnancy I was 12dpo before I got a squinter! But my miscarriages I got positives at 9dpo so feeling very impatient 😂
