11DPO - is this a squinter?😬

Hi everyone - I’m quite new to this game so would love some help if possible!
I’m 11DPO this morning and took this test (it’s a 10mIU test from Amazon). This is the test after 5 mins.
Is this a squinter or am I getting false hope? Can I test again this evening if I hold my pee a few hours?

@Sbella13 I thought your First Response test looked great, but I understand that you’re feeling uneasy about the strip tests, if you can manage another boots first response one in the morning maybe it would shed more light? How many dpo are you now, when is your period due?

@HopefulTTC2024 Your line progression looks fab! Any sign of AF today? I was due today too but no sign. Although I am having cramping only on one side which I hope isn’t a bad sign ☹️ here are my lines! I am 14 dpo today but didn’t have any more tests to take lol

@elle123355 the line on your second pic is so clear!

Cosyclothes · 25/01/2024 19:35

@Sbella13 can you post a picture of your boots test so we can see? Put it in front of a light and you will def see if there’s a second line or not!

Sbella13 · 25/01/2024 19:44

@Cosyclothes of course. Here’s the boots test I did this evening at about 5pm. There is a definite line all be it faint 🫣 same with my first response this morning. The line was there but very faint. I know they say a line is a line but it’s just a little unsettling when you see it get lighter. Hopefully tomorrows will be more prominent. I have all the symptoms so just hoping it continues. Not sure how many dpo I actually am but I think I’d be due my period by Saturday this week x

@Sbella13 I can definitely see the line! And I haven’t heard of the boots tests having evap lines which is why I love them! I’m sure if you do another one tomorrow it will be darker!!

Sbella13 · 25/01/2024 19:52

@Cosyclothes thankyou 🙏 I’ll be keeping everything crossed tonight!

Rose38 · 25/01/2024 20:00

I did a First Reponse a while ago and here is the pic with yesterday's one...I can see the line has gotten a little darker. Think I definitely need to stop morning testing and just do evening test. Easy@home is clearly not the way to go..think I might have a bad batch as all other brand tests came out darker line than theirs 🤔

Ended up coming to urgent care for suspected ectopic I'll keep you all updated

Rose38 · 25/01/2024 20:08

@elle123355 Hope everything goes ok and there are no issues. 🤞 the pregnancy is fine.

Sbella13 · 25/01/2024 20:21

@Rose38 your lines are nice and strong on the frer which is exciting for you 🥳 congratulations! Yes clearly evening testing works better for you and I’ve seen so many mixed reviews about those easy@home tests so I’m steering clear. Maybe use a different brand if you feel the need to continue testing!

@elle123355 hope everything goes okay and it’s all good news. Thinking of you 🤞

elle123355 · 25/01/2024 20:24

Not suspected ectopic anymore BUT I'm getting my bloods done to check my HCG levels with the tests not getting darker

Impatient1987 · 25/01/2024 20:29

I also hate those easy at home strips, I wasted 20 last cycle with shadows and then negative then a shadow again! The boots test strips are good, they're 25Miu so not very sensitive but I never have any doubt between positive and negative. Also the boots early tests your all using seem to only have positive reviews so I'd believe them!

@elle123355 thinking of you and hoping for good news, the cramping could just be your body adjusting 🤞

I'm a bit crampy today and have pink when I wipe. Really pale but it's still a worry. Going to just keep an eye on it for now and hope it's nothing 😕

Impatient1987 · 25/01/2024 20:30

Sorry we cross posted there @elle123355! Good news it's not an ectopic x

Sbella13 · 25/01/2024 20:55

@Impatient1987 glad to hear you’ve also only seen good things about those boots early tests. I have also, so praying it’s correct 😂 So sorry to hear you’re having cramps and pink when you wipe but I’ve read a lot that both of those symptoms are totally normal however we are all in the same boat and feel I would also be worried about it even though we’re 99% sure it’s totally fine. Hope you’re feeling better tomorrow and the pink when wiping stops 🤞

@elle123355 amazing news that you’re not suffering an ectopic and also a good result on checking your hcg. Hopefully that brings the news you want and helps put you at ease x

Rose38 · 25/01/2024 21:37

@elle123355 Glad its not ectopic. It's good they are going to check the HCG. Hopefully the faint lines are just because implantation happened late or something 🤞
At least once they have checked, you will know for sure what is happening.

Sbella13 · 26/01/2024 10:21

It’s looking highly likely that all of my strip tests were evaps 😢 my second boots 5 days early test is showing even fainter than the one I did last night

Rose38 · 26/01/2024 10:22

@Sbella13 Try doing one in the evening and see if it is darker. 🤞 for you.

Sbella13 · 26/01/2024 10:43

@Rose38 i would imagine my period would be here by tomorrow or Sunday latest so I think I’ll do 1 more test this evening with a hold and then I’ll stop because it’s sending me insane. I know that it it’s meant to be it’ll be but testing really does get a hold of you when you want it so desperately 🥹

here are my line progressions… using the word progression loosely as I actually think they all look the same now 😣 and also my boots 5 days early from today

hope it’s going well for everyone else 🤞

Sbella13 · 26/01/2024 10:45

Side note is that I have been pregnant once before (sadly ended in an early mc) so I know how my body felt when I was pregnant and I’m feeling the same way now so I really am praying it all works out

Rose38 · 26/01/2024 10:56

@Sbella13 Hoping it will be ok for you.

I had a chemical pregnancy last month & that is why this month I keep testing constantly. But when I had the chemical pregnancy last month, the pain was so intense that it was unbearable at times. Are you feeling a lot pain?

Could you ask the GP for a blood test maybe? I asked mine but they said no and that I can only have it if I think I'm having a miscarriage & it would be done at the hospital, not doctors.

I'm going to wait and see how this weekend goes. Will carry on testing but only once today and then once Sunday.

Sbella13 · 26/01/2024 11:19

@Rose38 so sorry to hear about your chemical, can’t imagine how it makes you feel so I’m hoping this one all works out and goes smoothly for you 🤞✨

I’m not having any pain as such. I have had very very light cramping. Feels different to af cramps as they’re no where near as intense and have tended to be either left, right or middle never all 3 at the same time. Have no idea what’s going on. Just hoping for the best and that maybe I am a rare case of tests not darkening 🤦🏻‍♀️ If it’s meant to be my time then it will my time I guess. Just wish there wasn’t all of this waiting to know for certain.

keep us updated on how your tests go 😊best of luck to everyone x

Rose38 · 26/01/2024 13:04

@Sbella13 I know what you mean...I feel the same. Whatever happens I just need to accept, it was meant to be.

Earlier on I had a few period like cramps..only for a short while. So let's see what happens.

I did a test about an hour ago and it looks the same as yesterday's one. Will wait till Sunday & test again.

Hope everything works out for you 🤞 Keep us posted on what goes on.

How is everyone else doing?

Luluem · 26/01/2024 13:07

I was in the exact same situation a couple of weeks ago - cheapy ones had a v faint line, clear blue saying negative. Few more days waiting (I know, agony) and now it’s turned positive and I’m at 7w. Fingers and toes crossed for you!

Rose38 · 26/01/2024 13:19

@Luluem How long would you say it took before the tests became darker? I mean how many weeks were you at that point? And which tests were you using?

Sbella13 · 26/01/2024 14:34

@Rose38 thankyou and I’m hoping it all works out in your favour also. I think the big lesson in human nature is we have to be patient whether we want to be or not. And in the mean time we send ourselves crazy 😅

@Luluem thankyou so much for sharing and huge congratulations to you! Stories like this are helping me remain 10% positive 🤣 Hoping my story ends like yours. As pp asked which tests were you using and at which point did they turn to bfp’s? X
