I’m 4 DPO.
Have you started testing already? Or will you wait until missed period.

FantasticalCat · 21/01/2024 17:18

Hi @RedRobyn2021 yes I’m due Friday too!

I’ve got zero pregnancy symptoms and no signs of implantation either so I think it’s a no for me this month. How are you feeling?

whenismyturn · 21/01/2024 17:29

I’m 6 or 7 dpo (not totally sure) on cycle 28 (had an ectopic on cycle 15 and no luck since then)

4LeafCloverBaby · 21/01/2024 18:40

@RedRobyn2021 yes! 9dpo & due on Friday/Saturday. The tww is driving me crazy this month & I have convinced myself I am pregnant!! 🤦🏻‍♀️😂🤪

robinmarl · 21/01/2024 18:48

I’m 4 or 5 DPO! Planning on testing on Friday too because I have plans involving drinking wine that evening 😅 I have been feeling extra cramp-y the last few days but it’s definitely just in my head!

grateful for some company this week as I feel it’s going to be SLOW!

RedRobyn2021 · 21/01/2024 19:48

I took a strip test earlier and it was definitely a no

I wanted to be pregnant so much but I've had on and off mild cramps all day so I think my period is coming tbh

Gutted 😞

@RedRobyn2021 hard as it is, try not to read into every symptom too much as being pregnant and expecting your period can feel very similar.

On my last pregnancy I remember crying to my partner at 9DPO as I felt my period about to start and had a negative test so had ruled myself out for that month. I then got a vvvvvvfaint positive on 10DPO and was definitely pregnant! I miscarried at 8 weeks sadly.

We’re now on cycle 11 of TTC - have had one CP and one MMC in that time. Just really really want this to be a positive month!

good luck to everyone on this thread 🤞

RedRobyn2021 · 21/01/2024 21:14

Thanks @AnnieStar12 it is hard to control myself, like I really didn't want to test until my period was due but I felt compelled

Feel like I'm going a bit mad sometimes

Hann1905 · 21/01/2024 21:16

I'm 7dpo today, already caved and took a test. Obviously it was negative, don't know why I do it to myself!

I've been really crampy today too, and just a heavy feeling, not feeling too hopeful at the moment 😞

4LeafCloverBaby · 21/01/2024 21:16

@RedRobyn2021 the tww send us all a bit crazy hun. I purposely don’t have pregnancy tests in the house for that reason! Lol x

Hannah156 · 21/01/2024 21:27

Hi! 8dpo here, and going crazy waiting 🙃 I've had cramps every day since about 3dpo but trying so hard not to get my hopes up too much.

akk · 21/01/2024 22:20

Also 8/9dpo... Felt really down today as I'm starting to think about the huge disappointment I'm going to be hit with on Friday. 13 months of trying takes it's toll!

moosey89 · 21/01/2024 22:31

Not exactly sure of dpo as didn't test for ovulation this month but AF is due on Sunday. I'm not testing early at all this week, I'm away for work from Friday until Monday anyway so will be nice and busy over the weekend to distract myself/not have time to wallow when I don't get pregnant!

LAPBx · 22/01/2024 10:24

I'm not sure on DPO as I stopped taking my pill on 1st January as we decided to try for 1st baby, I've been patiently waiting at least 21 days but now I've decided to wait until next Monday after a negative on friday but it is torture waiting!! No implantation but I've had weird synptoms, cramping this weekend, unusual bloating and extremely vivid dreams last week. Best of luck to you!!

Hannah156 · 22/01/2024 16:28

It's so hard getting the balance of being optimistic but also managing the disappointment isn't it? I feel so dodgy today, dizzy and nauseous. I've convinced myself this is the month but I know that's just setting myself up for disappointment. So tempting to do an early test, I've got '6 day early' tests arriving today at some point and I think I'm 5 days from af. Not sure whether to go for it or not.

AnnieStar12 · 22/01/2024 17:19

@Hann1905 you nail it perfectly! It’s so hard every month managing being both hopeful and optimistic aswell as realistic it might not work.

I say test as much as you want! At the end of the day, it’s not going to change whether you’re pregnant but might give you some sense of control while you’re in the TWW. Also, I find if I don’t test I just think about testing all the time. So I actually find it better for my well-being to just accept I’m going to do a test every morning from around 6DPO (I have a box of Amazon cheap early strips for this purpose)

akk · 22/01/2024 17:42

@Hannah156 my advice would be not to test (but I don't follow my own advice!). I think it depends how far you are into the process, I used to test all the time and not be impacted by it other than a normal/understandable amount of disappointment but equally knowing that it was normal not to be pregnant that quickly and we'd just try again next month.

Now we are 13 months in, the negative test disappointment is absolutely crushing so I'm going to try and wait until at least 12 days.

I think you have to do what is right for you and that might change if time goes on.

Hannah156 · 22/01/2024 17:46

That makes a lot of sense, we are only 3 cycles in so I'm still finding it manageable but totally understand that month after month it must be so crushing. Have you had any support from your GP?

Hannah156 · 22/01/2024 17:47

I think if I get a bfn this cycle I'll buy a box of cheapy ones, I think you're right that it would give a little bit of control! I'm the kind of person that doesn't cope well at all being completely out of control, but I probably need to work on that too 🤣

4LeafCloverBaby · 22/01/2024 18:13

I don’t have tests in my house for this reason…I feel like I would lose control & do multiple tests every day if I let myself! 😂 To me not testing is me being in control of the situation. I find a negative test is more sad to me that af arriving. Everyone is different though…what works for one won’t work for another 😊 10dpo today…it’s so long!!!

Hannah156 · 22/01/2024 18:27

Totally get that! Maybe next cycle I'll feel that way. It really does feel so long doesn't it, it's half of every month! My husband really doesn't understand why it's so torturous.

Hannah156 · 22/01/2024 19:09

I couldn't stop myself 🤣🤣 bfn of course, but it's a 6 day early test and I'm 5 days early. Will try again in the morn.

9DPO anyone else waiting?
akk · 22/01/2024 19:34

Yes we've kicked things off with the GP and slowly jumping through all the hoops to get a referral.

Oh you're still very early days...hopefully you're time will come soon and you won't need to worry about testing/not testing!

RedRobyn2021 · 23/01/2024 12:01

11 DPO today

Feels like FOREVER

I took a test yesterday morning and it was negative

How is everyone else doing?

I keep getting mild cramps, it's obviously my period on its way (due Friday) but I can't stifle the hope

I think I need to do this, it's because I bought a big box of strip tests a few months ago, I've almost finished them now though so I won't be able to next time!
