@Riverstardust your comment about forgetting your usual PMS symptoms really resonated with me - I’ve totally forgotten how I usually feel!

AF due on Saturday, and I’m 11dpo.

I felt so nauseous when I woke up this morning but that’s passed. I’ve got cramps today so feel like AF is on the way, although I usually spot for a few days before I’m due and haven’t had anything this week 🤷‍♀️

Puddingpie1234 · 16/01/2024 11:50

@Demi55 congratulations, great news :)

Glad it's not just me. 😂 Been having AF for 15 years but apparently it's all new to me this cycle 😂

Due AF tomorrow, so holding off testing until Friday. Not feeling positive about it but you never know.

wolflein · 16/01/2024 13:16

Congratulations @Demi55
@RW269 same here :( My AF arrived on Sunday so i've been pretty disappointed for the past two days... But will be following you all along on here and wishing you all BFPs for this month!
And I'm actually really excited to get going again with the OPKs. New cycle new luck! I just want to work on being less obsessive with the symptom spotting this cycle and not take tests super early on already... Let's see how that goes lol.

tierneytarny · 16/01/2024 13:55

I’ve got a BFP today. A little shocked as I am due to have surgery next month (so I’m guessing that’s off!). Completely planned but once my surgery date came through, we stopped trying. I took a FRER and didn’t believe it but two digitals have confirmed. So very excited but so very shocked!

mumto1girlie · 16/01/2024 14:33

wooo congratulations @Demi55, there’s something about a digital that actually makes you believe it! exciting times ahead!

@tierneytarny congratulations! life has a funny way of throwing things at us when we least expect it! x

MrsP20202 · 16/01/2024 18:00

Took a test and a bfn, craving a lot of carbs ! So I think af will be here anyday now kinda just want her to show up so I can start again as I am 99% sure didn’t conceive now

Riverstardust · 16/01/2024 19:41

I'm out guys! Congratulations to everyone who had BFP's this month!!

Going to move over to a February chat!

Good luck and baby dust to you all!! ❤️

Leonarda89 · 16/01/2024 20:50

Hello everyone, first time posting. First cycle TTC #2. DD is nearly 2.5. Told myself I wouldn't obsess or symptom spot this time but not going well 🙈 I'm on cycle day 20, cycles still irregular since DD but average is 26 days so less than a week til AF, not tracking Ovulation but think it's fairly early usually. Have been having head aches, some cramping, tender boobs and today lots and lots of discharge which is quite watery. I don't think I've had tender boobs or watery discharge since last time I was pregnant but could be wishful thinking 🙈😂
Good luck to everyone!

Demi55 · 17/01/2024 07:39

@holly12388 @Bey thank you! It does quite seem real yet!

Linalou12 · 17/01/2024 17:03

Hi everyone! joining this thread a bit late in the month but I have been following along silently from the beginning. Huge congrats to the BFPs! Wishing you healthy pregnancies 🥰 and commiserations to the BFNs, here’s hoping for more luck in February.

Im approx 2 or 3 dpo, month #4 of ttc baby number 1. Tbh I have no idea how many dpo I am- LH rise was 2 days ago and then had a small temp rise yday and a bigger one today. Still had EWCM yesterday. What do you ladies go off to determine which day you ovulated?

My husband and I were trying the SMEP plan this month but missed yesterday (the last of the 3 days in a row) because we were so exhausted lol. Still, have dtd loads of times in the fertile window so I’m hopeful, but trying not to be after having my hopes crushed with a BFN the last 3 months!

Racket81 · 17/01/2024 19:25

Welcome @Linalou12 I am currently 7dpo no symptoms. I know when I ovulate as I use the clear blue fertility monitor. Expensive but worth it although I'm not pregnant yet. Had 1 pregnacy but resulted in MC in July 2023. I'm 4w.though so is taking much longer and dint know if I'm just too old now as I prob produce less good eggs.

Linalou12 · 18/01/2024 08:32

@Racket81 oh I’d not heard of that one, thanks for suggesting- I will take a look!

Oh half way through for you, hope the 2nd half goes quickly. I just keep reminding myself you only need one good egg! Gotta have the patience of a saint in this ttc game!

So sorry for your loss xx

iwasgonnasay · 18/01/2024 09:23

@holly12388 how are you feeling? Still like AF is coming Sunday? Or any changes?
I've spent the week telling myself to ignore the things that I keep spotting and treat them as usual Af symptoms but I don't think I convinced myself. I feel ragey sad and crampy sicky today and it's due Saturday so that's made me far more aware that it really is just AF coming

holly12388 · 18/01/2024 09:50

Hi @iwasgonnasay!
Honesty, still the same for me.. have the usual af cramps, I've not tested since Wednesday (10dpo) and I don't think I will until Sunday eve if the witch still hasn't arrived.
Honestly I've got no symptoms so feel like im out and pretty bummed out about it.

How're you feeling? Any symptoms? Are you going to wait till Saturday to test or until you're late?

Baby dust to everyone!!!! Xx

iwasgonnasay · 18/01/2024 10:34

@holly12388 it's all fun and games 🫣have you had no "new" symptoms or not even your usual AF signs? My BBs were ginormous hard, swollen and sore from early in the month. Usually only a bit tender week of AF. Spells of Lightheaded / dizzy, quite dry mouth /thirsty. Feel quite thick in my belly? Normally my belly is gurgly and noisy a lot and I get wind feelings a lot but it's like it's permanently full and dull. And almost NO CM at all - seems like the opposite of what it should be!
I haven't tested and won't until Saturday if nothing then as AF is usually spot on (like midnight day of spot on) lol SO tempting when I have 2 tests sat here but if I can't do FMU I'll only tell myself that's why it's a BFN and be in the same boat I'm in now lol
Baby dust to all 🌟 💫 xx

holly12388 · 18/01/2024 10:36

I do have a question for everyone though,

I've used opk's in the past but the pressure of dtd somewhat imminently kinda throws a curve ball for me if that makes sense.

So I've not really used them the last couple of months but I'm wondering if I am realllllyyyy affecting my chances of successful conception because I'm not exactly 'tracking' if that makes sense.

I do experience obvious ewcm & ovulation pain so I'm assuming I'm doing what needs to be done when it's needed to 😂

I'm thinking about starting bbt, but wondering if the pressure is still there..

Just wanted your guys opinion x

I mean all your symptoms sound super promising?! Everything's crossed for you af doesn't show, I'll be thinking about you all day Saturday 🙂

I'm not overly emotional - like usual pms, which I'm not mad about 😂
I've been poorly with strep/tonsillitis so that may have hidden some symptoms.. hope so anyway!

xxx

Pinkmoon23 · 18/01/2024 10:46

Hi everyone I've been silently following this post, congratulations to the BFP's and fingers crossed for more 🥰🤞

I'm 4dpo and we've been trying since April 2023 (with early miscarriage in June and then took 3 months out). I'm 35 with thyroid issues and finding it hard to stay hopeful each month.

I was wondering if anyone could help me, my chart is confusing me this month. I usually always ovulate on CD14. We had planned to do the sperm meets egg plan this month, which suggests starting BD'ing on CD 8. But this month I got ewcm on CD9 and CD10. And hugely increased sex drive, a lot of ewcm on CD 11, along with a high opk in the morning. I didn't manage to catch the peak on an opk though and then my temperature went up CD12. It went up from 36.33 to 36.50 and then the next day back down to 36.45. So I'm a bit confused. Fertility friend has my ovulation date as CD11 from my temps and premom has it CD12 from my opk... I'll post pictures of both charts! We bd'd on CD9, 11, and 12 so really hope that we didn't miss it...

So I'm confused if I ovulated CD11 or CD12? Or maybe in the middle of the night between the two?

Anyway, here's my chart... Any advice would be so so helpful and appreciated , thank you in advance if any of that made sense 😅

MrsP20202 · 18/01/2024 11:41

@holly12388 my hubby feels the pressure to the point he sometimes just can’t get it up he says it takes the fun out of doing it then he feels pressured to perform 😂 I completely get you with the pressure side of things using opks

@siobhanmt247was due on today and nothing no signs of her coming not even pregnancy signs, this is my opk from today I’m still holding off testing after a bfn the other day but I’ll do another opk tomorrow what are your thoughts?

Anyone in TWW? Or TTC in January 2024?
TheFamousMrEd · 18/01/2024 11:50

Any symptoms I thought I had have disappeared.

the only thing that’s unusual now is that I still haven’t had any spotting and I usually get it 3-4 days before I’m due, and still nothing.

It’s so hard to wait for Saturday!

🤞for everyone.

siobhanmt247 · 18/01/2024 12:32

@MrsRandallFraser if you upload that last one again does it still say high? A high reading is promising :) it might just be too early for signs.

iwasgonnasay · 18/01/2024 12:33

@holly12388 thank you, let's see what Saturday brings! I think it's pretty common for both of you to feel like that when TTC. You both feel it at different times for different reasons. Men often during sex, women often in the days post when they're trying to will the sperm and egg to meet (plus IF that happens, the 9 months after of doing everything you can to "protect" it)
I think we all struggle not to track to some degree. If it's a first baby or you've been TTC for a long time / have experienced loss or fertility issues I think it helps you to feel in control. If not, then a more relaxed monitoring is just as helpful.

Linalou12 · 18/01/2024 13:12

Welcome @Pinkmoon23 - I’m a similar DPO to you and also having similar problems deciphering my charts! I’d say it was definitely either CD11 or CD12 for you and it seems like you’ve timed DTD well for either of those! Fingers crossed for you!

@holly12388 this cycle was my first using opks and temping. I have found it really reassuring that I definitely ovulated but otherwise didn’t do much different to other months - we’d still be dtd around when I had ewcm and ovulation pain. What did surprise me is that I probably ovulate after the cramps so need to keep dtd later than I thought. Tbh I might not use them again next month but could be worth trying for one month just to see how your chart matches your symptoms?

iwasgonnasay · 18/01/2024 13:14

@TheFamousMrEd you can hope no news is good news!
If only there was ONE universal clue before missing AF!
Pretty sure with my DS, the month I had the least "symptoms" was the month I got my BFP
