Do LH tests work for detecting pregnancy early?
I am now 9DPO and did one yesterday and the day before and was barely detected on LH strips but wasn’t sure if it’s accurate or if just negative.
tempted to take an early detection pregnancy test today as finding it hard to wait. I’m pretty sure it’s not happened this time but that little bit of hope is such a killer.

@Bugs22mk with 1 of my pregnancies I found out through OPKs. My periods were really erratic at the time and I had loads of positive OPKs, did a pregnancy test and got a BFP. At 9DPO you are allowed to still have a lot of hope! When is your period due? The easy at home pregnancy tests picked up pregnancy for me at 7/8DPO last time and the CB early digital picked it up on 10DPO I think it was

@pontipinemum my periods have been very irregular since coming off the pill so I don’t really know. But I had a strong 1.75 LH around 10 days ago plus sharp pains and a rise in BBT the days following so hoping that’s a good sign for ovulation and AF should be due next week.
we haven’t been TTC all that long so I should just stop stressing but my DH did an at home sperm test (for reassurance but stupid in hindsight) and it came back abnormal so it’s playing on both our minds.

@Bugs22mk if it's been 10 days since your peak I'd be doing a test, but I am a test fiend so can't be trusted near tests!! Mine just arrived and I did one 'in case I ovulated early' of course it's a BFN at 3DPO 😂

Hi ladies, I'm also in the dreaded TWW. Cycle number 5 and had chemical back in August. Not actually sure exactly when I ovulated this month as wasn't good at keeping up with the OPKs I'm 8DPO the predicted ovulation day.
I had a bit of a squinter on E@H this morning but unsure if just evap. Also one on the early boots but that is very faint and I've had some terrible evaps on those too!
I have my fingers crossed for you all this cycle xxx

@pontipinemum oh 7/8 dpo would be great. I'll be 7 dpo on Friday - I've already started testing obviously even though I know it's insane - I LOVE to test 🫣

Ovulation symptoms I had really bad cramping and ewcm (still getting on and off 🤔)

Interestingly when I got the 1-2 week positive test with last pregnancy I had a line on the lh test - photo below (was the same day). Not dark but still there

@Whisperdoodle1 could be the start of a faint positive? Could you take a picture and invert it for a clearer view?

Ok I couldn't help it, took another one just now after like a 4/5 hour hold but obviously have had a few drinks in that time- I think I still see something?

Technically out of time now but this is this mornings on top and the one I've done this evening

@Whisperdoodle1 I'm excited by these. As the ones you took now have a line and if they were my tests I would say positive . I have only started using this brand this cycle so don't know if give Evap lines - fingers crossed

Yeah I don't know what to believe. Where I had the line that I'm sure was evap yesterday morning I'm convincing myself that they evaps and on googling some people have had some horrible ones but that's the same for all brands. I wish I could be there person who would just wait two days and test again lol. I will probably spend a fortune on more from boots knowing me haha. No where anywhere where I live sells FRER :(

They do look promising - if line came up in time especially . When I have evap lines they are usually very thin- thinner than control line.
I think indulge in lots of tests ;)
Clearblue do a digital early tests - not sure though how sensitive it is compared to these

Yes the digital early ones were good and picked up my chemical, literally the only reason I know I wasn't imagining the lines lol.
I will have to indulge, I think they on offer in boots but still expensive lol. Yeah I think that may be why as can't seem to find them anywhere other than amazon xx

Thank you, I'm trying so hard not to get excited and I've had so many horrible evaps (mainly from clearblue) that have given me false hope over the last few months! I need to know by Saturday as I've got my work Christmas party lol 😂

I always try to be excited and happy for the moment - just generally. And if we get it wrong and things don't work out at least we had the moments of happiness.

I wish I can be like that, I just get so anxious about it, I'm trying to stay chill as I don't think the stress helps xx
