As the title says... Currently 5+2 but had a MMC in April and a chemical in September at 4+5... Really struggling to feel excited or hopeful this time. Is anyone else in a similar position? Thought we could chat here until things seem a bit more certain..?!

Awww, just wanted to say congratulations @SnookyPook and I hope this one sticks for you! <3

ladycarlotta · 19/10/2023 14:56

Hi! Congratulations on your news! I know how trepidatious you must feel and how difficult it is to feel positive when you've had losses before. I'm actually 8 weeks but have had 3 miscarriages since I had my daughter 4 years ago, and a few chemicals. The scan I've had so far is borderline (at 6+6 saw gestational sac and yolk sac but no foetal pole), so this one might not make it either, but I'm feeling SO nauseous and exhausted that I semi-trust that this one will make it.

Will you get any extra scans/appointments due to your previous losses? Do make a noise about it if it means you'll get additional support. First trimester is dreadful. Hope it goes on well for you x

Stephy1024 · 19/10/2023 15:01

Hi @SnookyPook was you in the due November 23 group originally? I also had a mmc in April and I'm currently 6+6.
I know what you mean about not feeling excited. I feel like I have to wait to be able to be excited. I've booked a private scan on the 31st of this month. I should be 8+4 then, hopefully it will be good news.

SnookyPook · 19/10/2023 15:01

@TheBirdintheCave thank you 🥰 How are you getting on?

@ladycarlotta so sorry for your losses and congratulations on this new pregnancy! Trepidatious is a good word! Everything crossed for you that this one sticks. Exhaustion and nausea definitely sound positive! My Women's Health Unit who dealt with my MMC have said they will scan me if I get to 6 weeks.. so that is booked for next Tuesday. Although I know that's super early for a scan so likely to be borderline like yours. Still, hoping it will show if things are roughly at where they are meant to be. 🤞🏻

@SnookyPook I'm ok. 10 weeks now but still terrified every day that something is going to go wrong 😅

SnookyPook · 19/10/2023 15:03

@Stephy1024 aw yes I was - so sorry you had a MMC too. Had you joined the FB group? Mine was 15th/16th April and I left the groups pretty much straight away as I couldn't bear it. Congratulations on your new pregnancy 🙏🌈

Ooh that's great though 10 weeks 🙏 Have you had any early scans? I bet it will be such a relief to get through the first trimester.

@SnookyPook I've had two so far and at the moment everything seems to be going well. After three miscarriages I just can't relax though. Next scan is Saturday for the NIPT so that's the current hurdle.

SnookyPook · 19/10/2023 15:08

@TheBirdintheCave ah bless you - I completely get that. It does somewhat rob is of the joy and excitement doesn't it. But that's great things have looked good so far. Let us know how you get on on Saturday. Not long to wait now 💕

@SnookyPook just wanted to pop on and say Im praying for you this one sticks 🤞 I've not been around much, currently 12 weeks and the anxiety and worry doesn't get easier ❤️

Stephy1024 · 20/10/2023 18:22

@SnookyPook I thought I recognised your name. Thank you it was a pretty shit time. Yeah but I left soon as I found out too. It was just too heartbreaking. Thank you, you too. Fingers crossed we have happy & healthy pregnancies.

SnookyPook · 20/10/2023 20:54

@Kellyaust ah thank you 🥰 ah wow! 12wks already?! Have you had your scan yet? So hope it keeps going well for you 🙏

I just wanted to say that I had MMCs at 16, 12 and 10 weeks and I thought it would never happen for me. I now have a teen and an almost teen. I’m sending to all of you love, great hope and all good wishes... I hope it’s ok to say that.

SnookyPook · 20/10/2023 21:13

@Lostmyunicorn of course that's ok 🥰 sorry to hear of your losses and so glad that you got your rainbow babies (teens!) Hopefully in a few years I'll be looking back and able to reassure someone in a similar way 🙏💕

Kellyaust · 21/10/2023 09:03

@SnookyPook i know it's flown hasn't it! And yes I've had scans every 2 weeks since 6 weeks and growth has been amazing, I have my official dating scan on Monday... Think I'll feel better then 🤞

SnookyPook · 21/10/2023 12:13

@Kellyaust ah that's amazing! So happy for you! 🥰 Got my first scan at 6 weeks on Tues if all still ok by then . Barely dare get my hopes up xx

Kellyaust · 21/10/2023 14:21

@SnookyPook fingers crossed for you, I know how it feels, I haven't felt good until directly after my scans then by about 2 days after I'm back to wondering if something is wrong. It's a roller coaster!! Xx

SnookyPook · 21/10/2023 19:16

@Kellyaust I can imagine! What did you actually see at your 6wk scan if you don't mind me asking? And were you 6wks exactly? X

OP posts:
Kellyaust · 21/10/2023 19:38

@SnookyPook it was an internal scan obviously as tiny but saw the sac and a tiny flickering fetal heartbeat and yes I measured exactly 6 weeks, I had another at 7 weeks measuring bang on again, then at 9 weeks I measured 9+2 then at 11 weeks I measured 11+3. I don't have a pic of the 6 week scan but I do of the 7 week if you'd like to see it and see what a difference 1 week makes x

Teachingteacher · 21/10/2023 19:47

Same here OP. I’ve had 2 MCs at 7 and 9 weeks.

Now that I’ve hit the 10-week mark today, and the symptoms are still super strong, I’m feeling more confident that it’s going to be ok. I have 2 DC, and it feels the same as when I was pregnant with them.

I wish you all the best!! I hope to see you on the pregnancy threads.

TheBirdintheCave · 22/10/2023 08:18

@SnookyPook Scan went well :) Measuring three days ahead now and baby was wiggling and waving 🥰 I still can't believe it.

SnookyPook · 22/10/2023 09:58

@Teachingteacher aw lovely - everything crossed that this is you 🌈🤞🏻💕

@TheBirdintheCave oh how lovely! So wonderful to hear 🥰

Evening all... sadly looks like I can't catch a break 😞 HCG levels today were really crap. I'd gone from 69 day of my BFP to 137... 8 days later... So definitely prepared for the worst. Still got my scan tomorrow so just hoping it's not ectopic or anything at least and doesn't drag on too long. I just feel utterly crap tbh and right now, don't even feel like I can keep going with all of this. And yet.. I know I'm not done with hoping and trying. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Feeling very much, 'why do we keep doing this to ourselves?!?' And guess what... My original due date from my MMC is a week today! Woo! 🙃😩 Sorry guys but struggling this eve. Love to you all xx

Kellyaust · 23/10/2023 20:05

@SnookyPook oh ffs I'm so sorry to read this 🤦‍♀️ I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞 I know it's so hard but you will find the strength to find a way if this isn't your time, I was actually watching a programme the other day this lady had 13 unexplained miscarriages before she got her baby... She must have some strength! But shows its possible don't give up! Sending you strength and hugs and still hoping for tomorrow ❤️
